I have a similar knife from the same company. It's inspired by but not the same as the Esse CR2.5 bird and trout knife. It's also DC 53 and has the same style sheath. It's a good quality little knife that I've been using to process small game birds. Works great for the task I bought it for at a fraction of the price of the big name brands. I might get this knife too, it looks good. But I really don't need more knives or maybe I do. 😀
The knife don't have a name. Dc53 is the steel they use on a lot of their knives. It is a copy of a custom knife, but can't remember the maker. The handle is really heavy. I took the scales off and took some metal out the tang to help with balance.
That knife is their design. They have another model for $25 that looks like a esee but it's different enough it's not a clone. Really hard to beat a $25 knife. Everyone seems to like it.
@@richardhenry1969 Matt Gentry's custom is the knife they copied for this one. They also stole some of his other designs. It's not a 1 to 1 copy. But it is really close.
That is the sharpest knife I ever owned.
It's an awesome all around fixie
@@AverageGearReview Because of the fine grain of DC53 it cuts like charm
I have two of those and they are great inexpensive fixed blades.
Thanks for the comment...and yes, agreed!
Enjoy it👌 love mine
Heck yeah!

👍🏼looks good. Good info.
Glad it was helpful! And it is atom splitting sharp out of the box!

It's an incredible knife! Thanks for the comment!
@@AverageGearReview it came today. Not disappointed, great buy at an amazing price.
That is a good looking blade. But the toughness of the sheath. Almost seems overbuilt. But I like it. For sure.
Man it is sharp ad a razor too

Ahh, I didn't know for sure if it was a clone or not. I hate that
I'm loving it
Dude I noticed it seemed a little handle heavy, thats not a bad idea
Sehr interessant Grüße aus Deutschland 🇩🇪
Thanks for the comment!
Dig it. What I hate is that its a ripoff of a Gentry Customknives knife...he is such a nice dude...sad that they take away Business from him....
I just knew in my bones it was a copy, I just could not for the life of me find which one, so thank you for the info!
Dc53 is a near analog to Sleipner, which is often compared to d2, but is really more similar to a2.
Also it's not "diecast" it's a die steel, like d2.
Awesome info, thanks for your comment!
