- Deontay Wilder is fighting for Matchroom of the 5 v 5 card in June 2024 in Saudi Arabia which pits five boxers each from the Matchroom and Queensbury stables. Wilder will be facing the big puncher Zhang Zhilei, and the former WBC champion has described the opportunity as his "my last stands, my last chance".

Wilders a late starter, zhang is an early starter generally, I think wilder gets banged in 3 rounds tbh, looking at there last fights, zhang is better at everything boxing wise, has faster hand speed while he's fresh to due to the tighter precise punching, but wilder definitely retains his power/speed late (or use to) compared to zhang who drops off a cliff after 6 rounds. There both plodding and easy to hit when there not throwing back, difference is, zhang has a pretty solid guard, as we saw with joyce, his punches just bounced off zhang like nothing, wilders guard is meh at best, I Don't think wilder has the mass to block zhangs shots properly anyway if he blocks a flush one.
Credit to Wilder for not going for sparking some journeymen and choosing to go in with a real current top ten contender again. Saying that, Zhang is an oak tree and will likely take this but with that hammer hand of W who knows

If Wilder turns up then he stops Zhang but both guys can bang let's face it and Wilders chin is maybe the weaker.
I think Zhang chins him, Cant see a scrawny guy taking Zhangs power, He's also big, lefty & a good boxer
Zhangs dangerous for the first 6 rounds it's always been that way with Zhang then he slows down his output drastically...if wilders smart he'll have two game plans...stay out of the way early then exploit his gas tank later on...just fight the same as the second Ortiz fight...whatever happens wilders got to win this fight...it's now or never if he wants the massive fight against Joshua
