  • I have decided to take you all on this adventure as I explore the White River Formation in Northwest Nebraska! This place has become one of my favorite places to visit and I am super excited to show you all around! So come with me on this adventure!
On day four we headed to one of our most challenging locations to dig. the infamous Concrete Hill! an area of lowlands with a few hills of badlands that have sediment so hard that in the past we have required a concrete saw to get fossils out of the ground! We dread finding stuff there but we still come back every year.
And now I would like to tell you all the tale of how Concrete Hill got its name, as well as why it is such a dreaded place to find fossils!

I hope this area becomes a flourish paradise like modern-day Eastern Central Africa later on. With Zoo Rhinoceros descendants filling the niche.

That ground looks like as soon as you step on it it’s permanently infused to your boots

Does that type of hard area preserve fossils better? 🦴
Or is it just harder to get them out of that spot! 😂
