Actually Jason is right on this one. expanding foam and epoxies are both cancer causing while wet. the only reason that they are considered ok to use is because you are never supposed to let them touch your skin and because they are supposed to harden trapping all the cancer causing PCB's and such inside the cured product. So if you think about it all those DIY resin projects on youtube are pretty messed up and very few if any of them take proper precautions. If you get a spray foam insulation of your roof and it does not cure because the ratios were wrong you end up having that whole thing removed by people in hazmat suits you then can rebuild your house with new materials. If you are getting spray foam insulation make sure that insurance for that kind of stuff is in the contract though even if it is you will likely suffer from months of exposure to all the chemicals while you are living in the house and waiting to get the foam and house tested.
We use a silicon rubber extruding machine at work, a 2 part liquid mix. when cleaning it out at the end of the day, you need to purge quite a bit of goo. I got in the habit of filling gloves with it. as you do. EXTREMELY satisfying. I had flat hands, fat hands, hands on a handle, hands on a stick, hands giving the finger, hands giving thumbs up. we also had tyvek suits, and always wanted to do the same, but would have taken years to collect enough (I only used waste, that stuff was expensive. a glove took about a week). so thanks for doing this ^.^ makes me happy

I used to work the foam guns in a warehouse, and it sprayed a stream of the combined mixture. It came out of the gun at ~120f. It gets really hot when it starts to expand.
Would have love to see a cast of Jason (or Eli) being made and used. Would be way more expensive, but you could have reused the changelings head. The "Eli 1.0" on the captions is a nice touch
It should be easy enough to DIY this... Make literal Casts (like broken Arm) that are all two piece with prebuilt... cuts? Then put those over the Suit, Duct Tape them together, they only need to be solid enough to hold for a few minutes til the Foam Sets. Due to the size difference the original...suit would look all kinds of Janky, but could be dressed in something after (Sweat suit).
I was thinking building it like the DIY dressmaking forms- you wear a sacrificial piece of clothing and then have someone wrap you in duct tape, then make as few cuts as possible to get out of the form. a little more duct tape to seal it back up, and then you can fill it with your foam like this one.
@@JD2jr. I was leaning towards a Cast / Plaster of Paris sort of thing, since it wants to expand... But Duct Tape would probably be solid enough, unless the Heat causes a problem for that Adhesive, which is probably something they could figure out, since they recorded it.
The ONE time Brian isn't wearing flip flops, lol. Also, if anyone were to try and attempt this themselves, get another painters suit and wear yourself while doing, then you don't have to worry if the foam gets on you. (Should still attempt to keep that from happening, but things happen)
The reference to “a cask of amontillado” just triggered my memories of my freshman year reading that play, then following it up by watching probably the worst possible adaptation of it. Thank you for that 🤦🏻♂️
Brian talking about his new employee, Eli 2.0: It's literally the hottest butt I've ever touched. _(They then proceeded to viciously stab said employee and bath in their blood.)_ MRHR: ...No comment.
Can we take a moment to talk about what's been happening to MR's view counts? Why has video popularity plummeted like this? Is the algorithm just screwing them or has something happened?
Okay so I was struggling to make a head bust the classic plastic wrap, duct tape and spray foam way. Everything was great other than the spray foam. Did it in stages and all that and all that but kept collapsing in on itself. Was about to do it and came across this video. Went to the store bought two bags (only ended up needing one. Turned out awesome! Thanks for solving my problem guys.
With the weird inflation going on almost everywhere I stared at the conversation numbers thinking they would change a little over the few seconds they were on screen.
"Just like Stan Winston used to do." You reminded me of a really great book talking about his art and studio. Anyway it'd be cool to see you test movie gags like squibs.
There cannot be a universe in which this is cheaper than just gluing and shaping large styrofoam blocks. There's definitely more craftsmanship involved, and I suppose a product meant to be buried in the ground is more environmentally friendly than styrofoam, though.
You need full size mannequin with head cut in half add layer of Liquid latex to both inside parts add expanding foam or foam rubber to it and strap top and bottom together and you will have a real Bucky.
Did anyone else think the knife falling in slow motion was going to hit Jason in the leg and they would have to reset the injury counter, in the video about making a dummy for testing dangerous things on?
How much did it weigh overall? I’m thinking if you put more supports around it to guide the foam as it expands, it could make a decent dummy to hold costume pieces as you are working on them. For example, I’m planning on building a set of wings. It would also be a good place to store the larger costume pieces later too.
I'm trying to be better at title-thingys. I'm sure UA-cam will eventually set up A/B testing (like email services do), but until then, I have to just manually try a bunch of stuff at launch and see what sticks. -Brian

You probably could have dropped the cost by putting some foam blocks inside the fence post foam.

You've made a Buster, the Modern Rogues are becoming Mythbusters.
Don't you mean Legend Testers?
Legend Testers. How dare you.
It's Legend Tester for legal purposes
Yes, my apologies I'd forgotten.
Then its not Buster, its Tester XD

I now need an EDM song with Brian’s “Ooo, it’s gel…!” as the drop. This is not a casual, passing desire. I NEED this.

And I have been around small people too much, I started singing "the foot bone's connected to the leg bone..." when the skeleton was being built. 😆
Jason′s bloodthirst was especially voracious on this one and i′m not complaining.
And yes I did clap at the SpongeBob reference.
Eli 2.0 is a character in the offical Science Man movie.

“It’s like a morbid IKEA” is the most Modern Rogue sentence Modern Rogue has ever said hahaha
3:49 "It's like a really morbid Ikea"
Jason, have you ever been to an Ikea? They're already morbid.
Perhaps he means less mobid than SCP 3008, but you're not wrong. Ikea is... different to say the least
Gotta grab a sound bite of Jason saying, "also probably Cancer" fory next dubstep song
"He's got front butt!!!" Sounds like something Strong Bad would say

Another foam Jason head would look great on the new dummy. Even more of an improvement from Eli.

-white suit
-made of warm foam

Sooo close to resetting the injury counter with that falling sword
When Brian says it’s the hottest but he’s ever touched I was whole heartedly expecting the camera to pan to his wife giving him the kill you eyes
As a Home Depot associate, dealing with the Sika fence post mix is triggering my PTSD. I legit hate that shit.
this seems like the opportune time to make another jason murphy head if you still have the life cast
In the start of the video I thought Murphy was going to say "a homeless person "🤫🙃
This might be the best bunraku performance I’ve ever seen.
Leave Eli alone ! He s a human being !

Love the vid! How long did the whole build take? I'd like to do it, but the situation would require a quick setup

My favorite part is it looks like the Split Pea soup I had for lunch. Progresso is the best!
You guys completely missed the pricing for the PVC piping... With today's pricing idk if it's $5 or $50.
"Theater blood" AKA the collective volume of all past reset injury counters in a bottle..
I suddenly feel targeted (as an Eli) lol
I need Scorching Hot Front Butt as a band name.
Jason straight became a character from inglorious basterds / Peaky blinders, while hit and stab the dummy.
Poor Eli, i hope he gets revenge on these 3 bullies one day lol
I hope I don't miss the premier!
Need to name him jester. Legend tester jester
gotta make eli 3.0 with ribs and stuff to protect his water bottle heart.

This makes them Mythbusters Ajasont
And next a course in foam carving lol
you should try to put pants and a shirt ton the outside of the suit to constrict the expansion . could solve front but
Instead of "Eli 2.0" name him "Eli Also"....
When Brian said Garry's mod I was like "Holy he gets us young ones"
now someone is going to clip "oooo, its gel" and build music around it, cus internet.
It may have been easyer with a mannequin torso vs painter suit
