Just to be sure, the guy who goes to card shops at 7 am to play d & d believes that the penis pump in that next gun could blow the brass pipe from a barrel obstruction. Maybe nerf guns aren't for him anymore than real guns.
So imagine, if you will, that you're thousands of miles from home and you're trying to show your hobby off to two of your heroes. On camera. You're terrified, nervous, worried... and then all of the Ted and Gary stuff happens. It was wonderful. Grab a blaster, make it your own, and fling some foam. Thanks for the opportunity to show what we do to a whole new audience, and I hope we get a chance to show The Modern Rogue an actual nerf war in the future!

First time back on this channel for a little while. This was the gold I was looking for.
I love how there's a transition from Walcom's expression of "I'm gonna let these guys talk while I do the work" to "Hold on, I wanna hear this" and so he stops what he's doing so he can focus on the conversation of Ted and Gary.

@@SivaExperiment lost investment casting using a 3d printed part, and plaster mold. Aluminum internals will be light, and not terribly difficult to melt aluminum or clean. And should be much stronger than any plastic. But also way cheaper than CNC..

@@PureCountryof91 Any SLS print would probably be stronger than a home cast, unless you're dealing in alloys and have a furnace in which case Worker probably have a CNC alloy kit for what you're making and would be much cheaper

Let's be honest nerf is now being designed by kids who grew up playing with nerf and is making them better. Several of the nerf bladters are clearly designed with adults in mind

They didn't add thumb tacks to the end of the darts, so no counter reset... yet. (Disclaimer, don't do that. that's just psychotic)
Small welt that will be gone in a day we used to put snappers in the tips of darts, for like a cap gun vibe, used to throw those at each other for tag and you're worried about this...really

I wonder what would happen if one of those foam darts "accidentally" got soaked in resin overnight.
For anybody that wants a good starter mod, the Zuru X-shot Reflex 6/Adventure Zone Destroyer (the Reflex 6 may have different names in different languages, but I know it's available in North America and Japan) is very easy for a first mod, and can hit hard by replacing the stock spring with K25, and gluing the two parts of the revolver cylinder together. It's also a practical sidearm for a battle.

I was part of the nerf modding scene way back in the early 2000s, it's really cool to see what techniques stood the test of time.
Mainly brass and electrical tape hahahah. Good to see half darts/Stephans.
Though nothing beats my old cut up darts with fishing weights hot glued in the tip.

We used to mod NERF back in the mid/late 00s. Buncha high school kids, my dad had (has) a lathe that I grew up using... So.... things happened.
Ended up chucking a whole box of rare, older (even by 2007 standards) models/parts into a big box for a garage sale (dangerous stuff removed), for $5 just to get rid of it. Bummer.
I kept one very modified blaster and a handful of homemade hot glue darts. Can't QUITE remember where it is now...
interestingly, due to so much of the global nerf community being based in the USA, many of us globally use "fps" to measure muzzle velocity as well, even if we normally use metric in our daily lives. In fact, m/s while I prefer it in a scientific sense, still feels unrelateable to me, and for some reason none of us use Km/h.

You should get one of those buzz light year blasters and modify that, it already shoots incredibly hard and fast.
It usually fires the short nerf rounds, putting a long one inside makes it actually dangerous.
