Name the aspect of oblivion That instilled in you such dread In the moment that was waiting Where the causal chain had led Describe the pure finality Of that twisted, cold eruption And attempt to comprehend Unparalleled destruction Unclench your teeth and meet your demise Behold the fate you always desired Standing on the brink, we see our home is lost A sacrifice led to the slaughter Black flickers grit the cusp Hands clasped under falling soil Drip down faintly by dark whispers A torrent into madness Blunt nails shred the life from your face Fetid strips of decaying hope Drift down gently In obsidian water Your pale arms reach for me Beckon me closer In silence at last A peace we always wanted We cease to be
Yeah, lots of bands out there no one ever heard of. Kalmah, Gardenian, Fractal Gates, Shadow of the Colossus just to name a few. Please if you haven't heard of these bands go give them a listen. We should always be sharing.
Agreed. This is one of my favorite songs of all time. It literally blows my mind that this only has 20k views. I never even bother commenting on UA-cam, but I just had to express my love for this song.
This is one of the best songs i have ever heard, period. Love the music, love the lyrics, and especially love how the music and lyrics meld together to paint the picture.
you guys made my top 10 all time favorite bands, in my meaning every song ive heard i freaking love, this band is pure amazing, if i ever get to see you live in America i will be there!
Hey! Great song, probably my favourite on this album. It's epic, majestic and brutal. Stay metal \m/ I just have to bring a question up: does any of you listen to Dream Theater?
i think the album cover perfectly emphasizes the profound sound be'lakor see you soon at brutal assault, i will definitely watch your show hope you guys kick ass
I will never be a hero and im not a zero more when im 1 in what i love ....i can share it...Be bless your motivation hell dont believe in the paradise you cant'tell where no one wanna leave
This is just a personal opinion, but it seems to be about depression/suicide. At the end the line "In obsidian water/Your pale arms reach for me/ Beckon me closer" is about Death personified beckoning to join her in a place that's safe from the "drowning" that everyday life brings ("In silence at last/The peace we always wanted/We cease to be"), together with lines like "Hands clasped under falling soil". The beginning of the song is almost questioning why the subject of the song hesitated ("Name the aspect of oblivion that instilled in you such dread"). That's my take on it, at least. Interested to discuss it though :)
By far one the best bands I've heard. They deserve far more recognition than they receive.
I totally agree.
I'm playing Be'lakor tomorrow at my wedding B-) \,,/
you my man
can i come?
: )
If you get divorced, invite me next time, as I read this late! Hope you have a great matrimony :D
That is awesome!!!!!!
what song did u play?
If I die, play this song from 2:30 at my funeral. But nail the coffin shut, cuz I'm fuking coming out to headbang to it.
Name the aspect of oblivion
That instilled in you such dread
In the moment that was waiting
Where the causal chain had led
Describe the pure finality
Of that twisted, cold eruption
And attempt to comprehend
Unparalleled destruction
Unclench your teeth and meet your demise
Behold the fate you always desired
Standing on the brink, we see our home is lost
A sacrifice led to the slaughter
Black flickers grit the cusp
Hands clasped under falling soil
Drip down faintly by dark whispers
A torrent into madness
Blunt nails shred the life from your face
Fetid strips of decaying hope
Drift down gently
In obsidian water
Your pale arms reach for me
Beckon me closer
In silence at last
A peace we always wanted
We cease to be
Thanks for all the lyrics Alex.
You're very busy with that ☺
4:38 onwards is the most beautiful music i've ever heard.

Atualmente na minha opinião, kataklysm e Be'lakor são as melhores bandas de Death Metal do mundo. Todos os seus álbuns são ótimos.
Wow I get goosebumps listening to the solo, this song is absolutely mind blowing. This song is so good mere words cannot make it justice.
God that intro...

Art at its finest . Could you tell me what do the lyrics talk about ?
