Actually, you were right for putting only blue Pikmin!
The cave this boss is in is flooded and thus can only be entered with blue Pikmin

i love that (technically) this is life size, because the waterwraith is really small compared to a human, and only large when compared to olimar and co.

I was playing Pikmin 2 earlier and a very unfortunate event occurred in the Submerged Castle. The Waterwraith spawned right where I was, I got a cutscene for a treasure I picked up, and then he squashed all my Pikmin. Poor guys, I would've saved them if it wasn't for that cutscene

It's a good thing that resetting exists! I would have been devastated if I had to go through the cave with 32 Pikmin
That’s about the sum of what happened to me haha. It was pretty much just olimar making it to the surface.
olimar is just really good at holding his breath so he doesnt need a helmet

fun fact: the water wraith moves by using its back legs to roll its back crusher like a gear system, thus having 2 holes near the edge :) just thought i'd share that fact

I've never used that, but it looks very soft. Maybe try something a bit more firm.
