Auto attacks on Ele should give them 2 sec of immunity and reflection.
Trident and dragon tooth should have 5 charges each plus they should hit for 15k each, because 9k is too low. Only then, GW2 can be balanced.
Other classes have had specs you can play with one hand be busted for literal years, and the moment its Ele people lose their minds.

Sick ELEs!!! How I wish we can customise our skills... for example, I want Sword Skill 2 and swap it in position with Skill 3. So when I use Greatsword both my engage skill is on skill 3.
the 5 chronos would have done a lot better if they were zerk. you can't survive long enough for your condies to do anything vs 5 catas. its a zerk vs zerk situation

Regularly kill spellbreakers in WvW, they're not that effective there against a cata
Yah, the tooltip for the sphere lists like 5 damage in WvW. Like TP said, it's for boons and other effects you get from being in the field (fire, water, air, earth ⁰.

It's revenge for the 2 years they spent as trash tier after the post launch nerfs. Let the non-eles suffer as I suffered.
I'm not a good pvp player, but I'm not totally trash either, and I can tell when I'm facing someone who is rolling on me because of skill difference... but I faced a calayst the other day: he was doing tons of damage, speeding everywhere like a fly, and each time I managed to bring him to like 10 or 15% life, he healed himself full life in 1s two or three times before finishing me. Well, ok, not full life but high enough to feel like full life. Like, I don't know, 85%. That was insane. And I'm confident this player was skilled, very probably more than me, but what I witnessed this day was not skill alone: it was a totally unbalanced class. He had it all: big damage, big mobility, big heal. It did not felt like he killed me because of some awesome capacity to adapt his attacks and defences against my attack and defences: no he just showered damage on me non-stop, didn't block anything and failled the timing of many dodges, because he knew he could self heal himself like a Deadpool on steroids.
(I was playing virtuoso, with a build providing lots of aegis, which alow me to compensate a lower health pool and armor - and yes, necrostaff is my nightmare :D)
Anet please don't confuse PvE and PvP when you nerf ele (looking at your spectre)
Leave ele alone xD we were suffering long enough!

The way I see it is that each class has 1 really strong competitive elite spec more or less.
competitive implies on par with other things in the meta, in which case nothing is competitive except spellbreaker and cata (as shown here)

I actually don't agree that cata is the end all here. What I see is coordinated play with good profession understanding and synergy from top tier players. I honestly believe several five prof comps executed correctly would produce similar results (providing for appropriate sustain and mobility, of course.) Good content, btw.
Yes, good players make anything overpowered, this is a dumb video, but fun
@@egoneoteo To be clear, I actually spoke with the frenchies after the event - they confirmed they believe this to be the optimal composition. Team USA played 2x cata 2x spellbreaker, 1x tempest. The french believe 5x cata beats that.

Reminds me of the old 500 blades video where all the esports players just played warrior and steam rolled everyone even though the community constantly whined about warrior being unplayable trash.
not sure if sarcasm at the beginning.. "cata is unstoppable" first match opens 1/10 is a cata... second match the double cata is losing... "people are getting 98% win rate with this" how? if it's that strong the enemy team should sooner or later have a cata in them to counter you no?...

@@HKRazieL I'd recommend watching the finals lol (and any of the high level matches). There is no exaggeration catalyst is by far the strongest build in the game. And the 98% winrate thing is actually true - go check the NA leaderboard. The top 2 players are double catalyst duo queue with a current winrate of 103 wins 2 losses!
103/105 = 0.98 for a 98% winrate - so I was completely correct! (it was all streamed too btw lol)
This is why it's really important to watch the whole video, and actually check stuff.

The top team on EU crushed with 5 catalysts to the point the other team didn't even try to win
The top duo queue on NA has exactly 98% winrate right now with double catalyst.
Good news! You were wrong about me exaggerating! The bad news is that catalyst is perhaps a little overpowered haha.
@@MightyTeapot so there are no cata players on NA just the 2 guys and they have high win rate not because they are good but just because they are cata players... gotcha...
also i watched the finals... can you please explain to me if cata is that insanely OP how come the NA MAT the 4 cata team lost to the 2 spellbreaker + tempest team with a CRUSHING score as well? spellbreaker OP ? no? it's only bad when ele does it i see...
Probably a "me-problem" but I don't understand how spellbreaker can be OP in pvp right now
Bladesworn is still way better in my opinion
spb has higher sustain, fc and more damage than bladesworn
Bladesworn is one of the weakest specs in the entire game for PvP currently. Spellbreaker does more damage and has far more sustain.

I feel this comment. I'm a casual, who only plays berserker for years and doesn't have any idea/interest what's going on in the meta but I never get the feeling, that I'm weaker than anyone else even though I know I am. For me it feels like I'm playing a good class, lol. I guess it only really matters in tournaments and platinum +.
I think that's the big problem with pvp and wvw, to have fun and get rewarded the only viable option is go meta, to my this is ruing the game and makes new players kit and stop playing this gamemodes bicose you go there and you get chushed over and over, every time, and you think that's bicose you are bad on pvp wen the reality is that the problem is OP clases that they are unlikable with good players, I lost all Mi rank in one morning just for that also the team program of pvp is broken to
To be fair a good player will stomp a new player whatever the class. Its only when skill is even that busted specs are unfair.
@@ThiVasss that's maybe the reason there's a team of 5 catalist in this video, ho are maby top ranked pvp players, I can predict before the match if I'm gonna lose this days, if you see ranger, guardian, necros, speel breaker, every body nows you gona lose or it's going to be very hard to win
It's actually pretty uncommon for balance to be this extreme, 99% of the time the reason you are losing is because of your own skill not balance. The game has been pretty well balanced for the last few monthly ATs it's only the recent patch that created a few monsters.
A brilliant example of why I can't support Arenanet in their incompetence. 😅
You are insave maniacal person to laugh at this. This should not exist at all. 8-10l damage with 10 seconds cd, almost unavoidable, no block, no dodge. Don't tell me you can dodge it. You cannot. Catalyst will just knock you down, so no dodge. Also, fast lightning attacks burns any kind of blocks.
So never tell any more! There is no DODGE. There is no BLOCK. You literally cannot use neither dodge, nor block.
Guardian is curently the weakest class, that doesn;t literally ANY build to counter such things. The least mobility, easy to kite around.
So rank doesn't show your skill level. If classes are not balanced, ranking system doesn't work. And it doesn't work. Literally.
Remember all those years when Ele was garbage? This is the revenge of the elementalists!
Hopefully they limit the nerfs to cata traits/class skills and reverting the Dragon Tooth auto tracking. We don't need these gomers nerfing literally everything except the overpowered aspects like they did when Weaver and Tempest were too strong. "Let's make the fire trait line garbage because weaver is too stronk. %gigabrain%"
yeah nerf dragons tooth tracking... we already have abilities that track on other classes that you need to dedicate 2 dodges to instead of the one for dragons tooth like Eternity's Requiem on vindicator and Unrelenting Assault on revenant and Smoke Assault on ranger which both make them also avoiding all attacks while they do and are also gap closers... yeah but we can't allow ele to have nice things now can we... it's only a problem when ele does it!
@@HKRazieL I've been a scepter ele main since launch. I played scepter ele in sPvP when it was trash tier for years. DT does not need to auto track, it's been a good skill ever since they changed it to ground target.

People hating on eles when its the first time that ele has been seen OUTSIDE of support since PoF! Chill out people. Just because your cringe thief or rev specc isn't xXTopSlayerXx Rank 1 anymore, doesn't mean that ele needs to be constantly nerfed unplayable...
People forget when this happened with other classes, and how dominate a certain few have been in the scene for many years and ele in pvp was just for the masochists and try hards.
