I have an ender 3 and I couldn't recommend it more to anyone who wants a 3d printer but doesn't want to spend a lot of money. It's a nearly perfect 3d printer for less than 200 bucks!
Hi Tech with Brett I have the flash forge creator pro. To get the prints of the build I find that putting some glue down works well. Or you can use a scraper . For the spool holder I just 3D printed one and put it beside the printer I find to get best results put the layer height at 0.11 and the first layer height at 0.12. Great video!
Orienting your model is critical to proper supports. If you had turned some of those around you could reduce a lot of your support material which saves time and filament use. It also makes for a better print.
What could you use a 3D printer for? I forgot to mention supported filament types: ABS, PLA, PETG, Elastic, PLA Color Change, Ultra Strong PLA, PC, ABS Pro, Metal Filled, Wood, PVA, HIPS,High Speed PLA, Conductive, and Flexible
Mission accomplished! After learning the basics I have been tweaking little settings here and there to improve the quality of prints. Pretty simple to do but just time consuming.
myHomeKithome, I have to tell you that 3d Printing is actually very easy and an Ender 3 is very inexpensive. It is not hard to do and is very rewarding. There are some tweaks and simple things you can do to assure print success such as orientation of your prints and preparation and care of your print surface that will assure that every print is awesome. It's a learning process for sure and you will have some failed prints but you learn from it and become better at printing. I highly recommend it!
I just ordered a Creator Pro today, but now I'm wondering if I should return it and get a Creator Max. What are the differences? Does it use the same print extruder and make comparable quality prints?
Thank you for posting this video. I've been looking at this particular model of 3D printer to purchase as our first printer. I think this video seals the deal for me. I've heard one way to keep the prints from sticking to the plate is to rub a glue stick across the printing area. Have you tried this and does it work? Great video!!
For this price you'd expect auto levelling, larger print area silent fans and a trip for two to Honolulu. Much better machines out there for a lot less. Yes Brett a glass bed is best, once the print bed is cool the print just lifts off, no hammering required.
@@TechWithBrett just don't buy the flashforge one. Unless they give it to you free heck yeah. Otherwise any glass will do(not mirror) as long as it's at least 4mm thick. You might have to cut it to size.
I have an issue with my creator pro I couldn't know where exactly the problem to fix or replace..!! "Tool 1 failure! temp limit reached. shutdown or restart"
Please help. Can the FlashForge Creator Max Dual Extruder 3d printer use TPU filament? Can it print Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate filament? Can it print Nylon filament? Please advise.
@@logantbirch Thanks! I actually ended up buying a Qidi X-pro. Noise isn't bad, would imagine its about the same as the Flashforge. Thanks for the reply.
WOW Brett 😮, This was a Video on Steroids ! Although a Bit Ambitious for me, I enjoyed watching, and like keeping up with the Latest "Whatever". I Did see that You have been able to have Your Hair Cut 😉. When I was Young, I use to cut everybody's hair. 2 Husband's, 2 Sons, (never cut my Daughter's - Her hair was Very long by age 1, and quite a job to wash everyday), and my own. To this day, I believe they considered it Torture ! Can't Win 😏. Anyway, my point 'was', where I live, Barbers and Hairdressers are CLOSED 😕 ! NO 💈- NO 💇. Is it possible if someone can answer me... how can I change the app name color in the Samsung s10 plus, I know the wallpaper changes the color from white to black and black to white but if I have a white background and want white app names is it possible?
The print volume is way too small. I have this printer, it won't print a lot of things on thingiverse. Firmware is closed source, printer board is closed source. Closed source === no cheap upgrades, out dated software, no octoprint.
Thanks for the feedback. I was wondering about the firmware since there wasn't an update and I guess I'll run into the other issues as time goes on but so far it has met my needs.
The pink and yellow print was simply under extruded hence the weak quality of the print..nothing to do with infill...how did the filament get wrapped up like that?...if you were watching the print you would have heard the extruder motor kicking back, meaning there was too much tension on the filament itself...
Nice honest review Brett- despite those guys sending that to you 👍 And the part where you continued to run the thing when the filament was coming off the spool... 😳
If you're thinking to buy a 3d printer, don't. It's not an inject or laser printer, they aren't easy to use and you will have a lot of problems and if you are a beginner it will be very frustrating. Those printers aren't ready yet to end consumers that want an appliance that just work. Don't worth it.
Man I wish ALL UA-cam videos had the chapter selecting tabs like you did. So much easier to find what I'm looking for. Kudos Brett.
Glad it was helpful!
@@TechWithBrett Brett we have a great day and night and the other day

Thanks for the review, I have been seeing great things from that device.
I would really like to see you load and test the second extruder with PVA (water soluble material) for supports.
Dude! I just bought a flashforge adventurer! Pretty awesome so far.
Haha! I was wondering where your little logo came from. I need to make something like that.

Those are some great tips! I am looking forward to finding and locking down the best settings to keep improving print quality.
The cut function in the forge's sliser program is absolutely brilliant. I still don't get why it's not in Cura.
Great explanation on everything!! I'm not very good with computers but I feel like I could use this without any trouble! Thank you!!!
I am starting with the adventure 3, this video was helpful to me learning the language of 3D operations.

I've always questioned 3D printers for us "normies", but your review is making me question myself. Great review, Brett!

I wish the max print size was the same in both the X & Y dimensions.
5.8" is just a bit too small for how I'd want to use it.
Yeah that certainly would be nice. I still want to print something at max capacity, I just can't device what to do.

Can it print flexible filament?
Do they use a tonne of electricity to run?
I own the pro 2 version and the back filament holders are a pain in the ass
Very informative video, well done

Wonder if they will have one that can do metal and plastic in one unit...
That would be pretty neat. It is pretty crazy what people are making just with the plastic filament.
Wonder if thy will have one that can do metal and plastic in one unit
Can I print Nylon or Nylonx with this printer?
Do you know how the printer would take to marlin or repetier?

Is there any way to use this 3d printer with a Chromebook? I don't have Windows or iOS. Great review!
I need to look into it but there is a FlashCloud web interface that I believe allows you to do this.
Please help. Can the FlashForge Creator Max Dual Extruder 3d printer use TPU filament? Can it print Carbon Fiber Polycarbonate filament? Can it print Nylon filament? Please advise.
Can I do the computer stuff on a Microsoft surface?
Brett can you do a review of the FlashForge 3D Printer Creator Pro2?
is this 110~220? That is; can I use it in the US AND in the EU?
Did he mention the noise this printer makes? Wanting to put into the office curious how loud it gets.
Other videos have compared the noise of this to a regular printer (the paper kind)

Heat the build plate before taking the model off

It took some work to learn everything but it is really fun to have around.
btw your thumbnail is misleading . All in one suggests this machine is not just a 3d printer but a CNC and a Laser cutter too.
Ok, thanks for the info.
front right not level = on print
You need a new pair of glasses! if that was one of my prints it would go right in the bin.
thats what i thought aswell O.o
The Flasforge do a verry bad Job ,but nice video
