Asami really stepped up her game in the live version in Tokyo as in many of their live songs. Her ability to sing the long vocal hold-outs that she brings to the live shows is what often adds to the live version superior..
The Metal Queens 👑 really rocking on this one. This is one of my favorites that was an early one I saw many years ago. M&M really bringing it with that guitar solo and Haruna crushing the drums. Glad you loved it. Live is also worth a look. I've had many reactors do this one.

This clip was the first song that I saw of Lovebites, I saw a seggestion of five ladies in white dresses and didn't knew what to expect. But when the song started with that beautiful guitarintro I knew i was in for something special and the more the song went on the more I was amazed and when the back and forth on the guitar was going I was completely mesmerized. It was highly technical and so melodic at the same time, the solo was so well structured and especially at the end when you think it's over then Miyako comes in again, it was superb. After the song was over I played it three times more, I simply couldn't get enough of it. The singing of Asami, the drumming of Haruna and the bass of Miho and the two ladies on guitar, they were a perfect team.
That’s exactly how I felt when I first heard Lovebites! The intro just grabs you, and then the whole song keeps building. The guitar work, especially the back-and-forth, is insane. And when you think it’s over, Miyako’s solo hits you again-so good! The whole band is just perfect together-Asami’s voice, Haruna’s drumming, Miho’s bass. It’s hard not to hit replay after a song like that!
Another banger song! The environment, the black&white video, and the start of the Midori solo always brings to mind the Painkiller Judas Priest video (85M views ...)

Song that helped get them recognized globally. Everyone is incredible. M & M are the best guitar duo I've heard ever. They are as close to flawless as you can get. Miyako at 5.58 just cmon. There's a live version that is also phenomenal.
One of my all time favorites by them. 3 observations: 1. Midori's smile during her solo is priceless 2. 5:59 - 6:01 - sexiest 2 seconds of guitar playing EVER 3. Haruna / Miho absolutely killing it during that build up before the solos start! Such a great face melter and just a year after they formed. To be this tight musically so early...holy smokes! 🤘

My first LOVEBITES experience, I am embarrassed to admit I was disbelieving, Midori's "Allan Holdsworth-esque" solo being just "too good"! This mistake needlessly delayed my enjoyment of their other fantastic songs/performances. I've since become more 'fanatic' for LOVEBITES than any previous band and 4+ years on, not losing enthusiasm! "Swan Song", "Shadowmaker" and "Holy War" - not necessarily in that order. Then LOVEBITES had my attention, and I watched every f....ricking LOVEBITES music video that I could possibly find here. There are only a very few composers and/or songwriters whose songs are _timeless_ . Just take J. S. Bach ("Air"), "Antonio Vivaldi ("The Four Seasons"), Michael Jackson ("Beat it", "Thriller"), Queen, The Beatles. In my personal opinion, LOVEBITES belong into that category already. Timeless Metal.
