  • Picking a university degree after graduating high school is arguably one of the toughest choices in our early life. You ask yourself: what should I study at university?
I myself had plenty of doubts when I chose one; in the end, I even switched degree programs from Physics to Computer Science and Design after just two months. In this video, I go over my own thought process when deciding on a degree program to make a good decision that would benefit my life and future career.

It is very difficult to know what you want until you start working. If you don't know, it's better to go out and experience things for a while. What people don't understand is that it's not just about money, but the quality of life that your job can provide in the end. Ultimately, what you need to do is make your life easier, not more difficult.

@present7163 I'm considering going this route but I'm completely lost. I mean, how do I get there? There are 2 paths that I've heard of but my high school grades tell me I'm bad at math. It's scary to know that even if I'm passionate about it, if I don't have the skills I risk screwing up my whole life, and as a 19 yo, i have to admit that It's quite overwhelming

ASK YOURSELF THESE QUESTIONS BEFORE YOU CHOOSE A CAREER:
    1. do I like it?
    2. Will I enjoy studying it?
    3. Is that thing going to be future proof?
    4. Does it align with my knowledge and financial prospective?
    5. How much am I willing to suffer?
    6. What will my job be? (Describe it specifically)
    7. How high is the job demand?
    8. What quality of life that job can provide?
    9. What is my definition of SUCCESS?
I wish you all the best 🫶🏻

Im seriously hesitating(im living in another country btw and it's different here) i didn't knew what to study bcz im an indecisive person and i hesitate a lot,i can't decide something as crucial as studies until i think and think,so relative advised me to choose English studies in faculty until i figure out what to study so that my time don't get wasted, now i hate faculty bcz it sucks and most moduls are hard, and i don't wanna continue in it anymore,it's been 3 years now and time is going on,i've been going sometimes to faculty in the first years but i've never really liked the classes,it's painful and kinda boring,i want something cool, something innovative,i love anime arts and i wanna study it so bad but i don't have the talent to draw,if i wanna draw,it'll take some time bcz im a complete beginner to drawing,no one really teached me or smtg, tho i didn't understand most of what you've said, but i get your point, just gotta analyze what you want and see what feels right to you.

My university degree is basically product design but for digital products. I believe it's a future-proof thing, but you're certainly gonna work a lot with AI.
And let me tell you: if you are really skilled you will find a job. So it's all about becoming so good they can't ignore you and at that point AI for example will not replace you because you're working together with it :)

Was a long road trip for me fiding what I liked to do..teaching .and technology. but is not for everyone. The job salary and rewards (retirement) are not on par with job demand ..on all 50 states ..that's why when a new field evolved last 10 years..called instructional technology came a long fueled my interest ..still ..the rewards of working for a school district ain't there much ..unless I become a main office personnel (think director of xyz department) and that does not sound appealing..im.happy I can marry my two interests..but sometimes we need to think About the end game a bit ..and this is why many teachers quit or are depressed and run with anxiety as retirement looms ..specially for those who's partner fully depend on them or are on similar careers. I wish there was a program that teaches students going from 8th to 9th about career goals ..this includes vocational and technical..sometimes people just can't be a doctor , arquitech, lawyer ..or engineer...I seen plumbers making over 100k easily

I really wanted to choose a career in quantum computing especially since it’s rapidly growing and I am passionate about learning more about it but idk if I’m welling to suffer for so long bc thinking about it I will end up learning A LOT of physics and it could become unbearably stressful.
So I’m rethinking my decisions and would love to have a career in animation and art, but I don’t know much about the job opportunities in that career. Does anybody know how can I know more about the job opportunities? and if this career is highly needed?
