I have never heard of MicroQuilter thread but have a quilt top it would look great on. I always learn something new when I watch your videos. I am using your trailer ruler on a quilt top I am quilting and it definitely takes getting used to, but am excited to finally try ruler work. That quilt is beautiful!
Thanks! I’ve used the monofilament thread on my Bernina, but my Longarmer (husband Chuck) needed something to blend with multicolored fabrics! Perfect!
I’ve heard of it. Thanks to you, I am a frequent visitor on the Superior Threads website. I haven’t yet had the chance to use it. I’ve only had my long arm about a month and a half.
I have never heard of microquilter thread, but would love to try it. I purchased my long arm 6 months ago. Most of my quilting is for community service or church charity projects so my thread selection is limited. Love watching your UA-cam programs.
This is the first time I have heard of it and perfect timing because I'm struggling with thread choice on a dark blue quilt for my daughter. She wants lots of SITD so I think I need to get some. Thanks for the info. I am learning so much from watching your channel. :-)
no didn't even know they had a mico thread Wow that's Awesome thank you for doing a winning draw I would like to try it I really enjoy your shows thank you
Love you work...great tips as I’m a beginner and not familiar with all the different thread choices.... what would you set your tension to get your best stitches? ... what size needle do you use with this thread?
Over on my site www.piecenquilt.com I have all the needle specifics listed. I do adjust my tension, but because I'm quilting on a Gammill there is not necessarily a number for the tension.
hi natalia big hi from indonesia, i am so exciting to see you do the ruler for your quilting, i haven't tried it the microquilter thread but look forward to try it.
I have tried to use the thread several times, without any luck. I usually give up and go back to sewfine due to breakage and random nesting underneath. Would love to know the trick to using it. I set my bobbin to the recommended towa setting, change needle size to their recommended 14 and dramatically reduce speed and can't deal with the struggles.
I have used the sulky monofilament for the very small stippling, but not superiors Microquilting thread.. have a king sized black n multi pieced quilt it would be perfect on!
I have heard of this thread and was interested in trying this. I'm not clear if it can be used in the bobbin and on top, is this to be used only in the bobbin.
I am excited to see you use this thread. I just bought some, in the silver also. Can’t wait to try it. Do you have any issues with the tension? Love your quilting. Thanks for your good work.
Sounds like a great thread. Do you change your tension? What size needle on the longarm do you use? I imagine that microquilter would be really good for invisible machine applique.
OMG.. Game Changer!!! I love LOVE ❤️ this thread!!!
Happy quilting!
Love your video!
Just ordered Micro thread from Superior two days ago...I haven't used it yet but thought I would experiment with my micro handles too.

I'm excited. I picked up a cone of MicroQuilter but need more info to use it properly. Thanks.
Beautiful! I haven’t tried this yet. How is it different than Superior’s micro filament thread?
It is different, personally I think this is more longarm friendly. :)

I just found out about. I’m super excited to try it now! Awesome, thank you for the FYI.
This is the first time I have heard of it and perfect timing because I'm struggling with thread choice on a dark blue quilt for my daughter. She wants lots of SITD so I think I need to get some. Thanks for the info. I am learning so much from watching your channel. :-)

Love you work...great tips as I’m a beginner and not familiar with all the different thread choices.... what would you set your tension to get your best stitches? ... what size needle do you use with this thread?
Also what needle size do you use with a 100 weight thread?
Over on my site www.piecenquilt.com I have all the needle specifics listed. I do adjust my tension, but because I'm quilting on a Gammill there is not necessarily a number for the tension.
Do you put it on the bobbin too
No, I prefer bottom line in my bobbin. www.piecenquilt.com/shop/Thread/Bottom-Line.htm

Can’t wait to try this thread

I have not used the MicroQuilter thread. Do you adjust your tensions or make other adjustments when using it? Thanks Natalia
Yes, since it's so thin I do tighten my tension a little bit. :)
I have not heard of this brand so it would be awesome. Thanks for the grey color tip.
What size needle do you use with Microquilter thread?
Natalia when you use micro quilter 100 wt thread what weight thread do you put in the bobbin? I'm on a Qnique 15 pro on the Cutie hoop frame.
I always use Bottom Line thread in my bobbin, it's just what works best for me.
I have used the sulky monofilament for the very small stippling, but not superiors Microquilting thread.. have a king sized black n multi pieced quilt it would be perfect on!
Do you still use bottom line in bobbin. And would needle be 3.5 or 3.0 for this fine thread? Thank you for videos
I do still use the Bottom Line in my bobbin and I'm using the 3.5 size needle. :)
I have heard of this thread and was interested in trying this. I'm not clear if it can be used in the bobbin and on top, is this to be used only in the bobbin.
I'm using Bottom Line thread in my bobbin.
Love the micro thread ! I received a spool last year and this year at MQX. I’ve been using it since! It’s awesome for ditch work and micro fills!! 💞
Not yet, never heard of it but anything to help my longarm stitches look good sounds great! Will be trying it...
Did you adjust your top tension to accommodate the thinner thread? I have used it and it's very forgiving except when it breaks!
I use it all the time I love it!
never try this thread yet. can you use it with a sitting longarm? that you for you time and show us how to work with it!
Yes, you can!
I am excited to see you use this thread. I just bought some, in the silver also. Can’t wait to try it. Do you have any issues with the tension? Love your quilting. Thanks for your good work.
Gorgeous quilt. Do you use the silver thread on the black sections too? I really like show the thread looks on the colors.
I have not used the thread, usually I use bottom line for fine work. Do you have to adjust the tension on you machine?
Yes, it's such a fine thread that you do need to adjust a little bit.
I'd love to try this! What is the difference between so fine and bottom line?
So Fine is a 50wt. thread. Bottom Line is a 60wt. Bobbin thread.
I have had this very problem of not finding the right thread for many colors. I can't wait to try the thread.
No I have never used or heard of this thread. I normally use Omni thread
What needle would you recommend for the 100# thread?
Over on my site, www.piecenquilt.com I have all the specifics listed. :)
