1977 Ski-Doo Everest 440 First Start in 15 Years!!

A short video of my new project a 1977 Ski-Doo Everest 440! I bought it on facebook marketplace for $250 and after some TLC was able to get it running for the first time in 15 years!

Nice video/nice snowmachine.
You can put the Vevo cleaner on the counter top by the kitchen sink with carbs in it and then work on them at the kitchen table. Amazing as I'd have been run off by just walking in with the vevo cleaner. Seat turned out nice didn't it. Your garage floor is covered with mats? Nice touch. That engine seemed to have some decent compression as seen by the effort required to pull start it. Quality mint machine.

Awesome . I rescued the same sled but an E start . Having trouble finding a handlebar pad . Can anyone help ?

Try similar year in other ski doo models like the TNT, Olympic, or the Blizzard. Some share parts and the Everest doesn't have many specific parts show up. Also mine is an E start. Recently got the starter free so it works ok now.

Idler wheels need to be greased?

Yes! I greased 3 but the last one needs a new zerk fitting. Currently I'm trying to get the lights working on it. And lastly the carb air mixture screw needs to be adjusted. Before I take it anywhere I'm going to buy a spare fan and drive belt. Fires up after 2 pulls now every time though!
