I don't want it to end with everything being perfect, but I want them to be alive and to have a family and kids, even Cas (if he can have kids???) I read so many great thing on tumbler of how it could end. I just don't wan't either of them three to be dead.
I would love a happy ending, but the thing is, this is what they have done for years. Even though they would love to have some apple pie life where they didn't have to fight monsters every single day, I think that the hunting and adrenaline are so ingrained in them, they would continuously go back. Similar to how some soldiers come home from war and immediately go back because they aren't used to that kind of normal life and they get to the point they have to go back. So I guess if you think, if they were just hunting monsters for a living without having to deal with all the other BS that happens around them, as a "happy" ending then yes. While both boys want the other to have each other to have a happy life, I don't think they would know what to do with themselves.
I think both Sam and Dean are far past having a normal life. After everything they've done and everything they've been through, settling down with wives and kids just seems unrealistic. It would be a very unsatifying ending IMHO.Not to mention that both Sam and Dean have tried the whole "retiring from hunting to live a normal life" thing and it has never worked out. The only way they've been able to quit hunting is when one has of them has died (Dean when Sam went to Hell and Sam when Dean was in Purgatory). I think Sam and Dean have to die because if they are alive, they will be hunting. It's who they are. The closest I can see them getting to retiring is by sort of stepping back into a position where they help other hunters by providing advice/research/knowledge, but aren't actually hunting themselves as a sort of middle ground between a normal life and a hunter's life (though I picture this more for Sam's end, and I picture Dean having died to save Sam). I'm personally rooting for Sam and Dean to die in a blaze of glory together at the end of the series. It's funny because Dean is my favorite fictional character of all tine and yet I desperately want him to die at the end of the series. It sounds so weird, but I think dying on the job is the only way his story can/should end, and it would bring it full circle is he sacrificed himself to save Sam.
to be fair their answers are always legit good advice. i mean they've probably (definitely) repeated the same answer but it doesn't make it any less special to the person asking. even tho i don't have any desire to be an actress, the advice of "remember why you love it" is absolutely applicable to other situations. idk sorry i just wanted to get that out there
