Yes, there's something so satisfying about having a full book that keeps me motivated to use it (although sometimes I wonder if I'm just being stubborn when I pressure myself to finish a book). Thank you for inspiring me to give my weekly supplement another try when you posted about yours. Honestly, mine is pretty bare throughout the week, with the most 'decoration' being different colours for events to help keep me organized. I usually go back in at the end of the week to add stickers in because I like having an excuse to use up my ever-growing sticker collection. Like you said, it does its job, and I love that it prevents me from obsessively checking my calendar on my phone or computer throughout the day (which I was doing before committing to tracking my meetings in a paper planner). Thanks so much for watching!
Really enjoyed listening to your planner update and all the considerations that you factored in. You seem to have reflected a lot on what worked or didn't work for you previously 😊 And I agree, I think considering emotional attachment to a type of planner is important. I must admit that overthinking is one of my specialties, so I have done a lot of reflecting over the last while. The emotional attachment is the toughest factor to account for because it’s not as rational as the other reasons that I thought about. Even if one system is objectively the best choice and checks all my boxes, I might abandon it if I don’t like it. 🫠 Thank you for the ink recommendation! First of all, I love persimmons, and second, I think it’ll complement the brown inks I’ve got in a few of my pens. 🤎🧡♥️

i started using a vertical weekly to backlog, im starting the habit of writting daily so the small space of the vertical weekly is great for making a little check in on my mood, on what i did and some little thoughts. Also, i LOVE the little quotes, i like highlighting the ones i like to read them back, the weeks does have quotes too! idk if the a6 and a5 share quotes, but i know the weeks and the a6 do share SOMETHING quotes hehe
Yess! I’m glad I’m not the only one who loves the quotes. I was doing a daily ink swatch and quote in my A6 last month. At first I was looking up quotes that resonated, but then I realized that there were many amazing ones at my disposal in my Hobonichis (yes, plural 😅). I love that you highlight the ones you like, and I think do might do the same!
I can’t wait to try Ku jaku! I told the seller that I love pilot iroshizuku inks, and was so grateful when she offered to give me her samples of Ku jaku and fuyu gaki! 🥺
for tye vertical, you can start a gratitude journal or keep the memories ,, since you are creative , you can forget about the dates and just journal for a spread every week 😃
Love these ideas - thank you so much! I've been experimenting with different ways I could use the weekly spreads and trying out a memory keeping spread is on my list of things to try!
I'm just curious, since you used the Traveler's Company insert just for a to-do list, why not just put your to-do lists in the Cousin? Seems like a simpler solution than changing books, but then again nothing is ever as simple as it seems. I know you said you would get tired of flipping back and forth between daily and weekly, but maybe a Midori tab would be perfect for that.
It’s a very good question, and you make a good case for simplifying things if I were to bring it all into the Cousin. 😅 I briefly experimented with trying to fit everything into my Cousin in January, and it didn’t work for me because I needed the full daily page for my notes and I couldn’t fit my to-do list at the bottom of the weekly page. It might be worth trying again when I finish school at the end of the summer. It wouldn’t solve the portability issue, but it would be a lot more streamlined!
Hooray 🎉. I think I got the idea from @juliesplans originally. And I think it’s the tendency towards black and white thinking of our ADHD brains as to why we didn’t think of it in the first place. :)
Oh, that’s such a good point about the black and white thinking. Thank you for again for sharing that tip with me. It’s a small change, but it really felt like a game changer for me. 💗
I love that idea! I’ve been very interested in My Dandelion Diaries’ weekly dashboards, and may experiment with something like that. If you have any creators that have also been making dashboards, I would love to see more examples for inspiration! ☺️
I agree it is TINY and I completely gave up on it when I first attempted to use it in January. Now, I've come to love it, but I've had to make adjustments, like using lots of acronyms and re-numbering the hours so I have one box for every 30 minutes like a Cousin. I think if my job situation were different, I wouldn't be able to use it, though, so I agree it's not for everyone!

i started using a vertical weekly to backlog, im starting the habit of writting daily so the small space of the vertical weekly is great for making a little check in on my mood, on what i did and some little thoughts.
Ku-jaku is my favourite ink! If a sample seems dry, you can add a few drops of water.
It wouldn’t solve the portability issue, but it would be a lot more streamlined!
also i set up my things at the beggining of the month for the whole month, that way i dont have to do each week individually
I’ve been setting up two weeks at a time, but I think I might extend that to a month or maybe even the rest of the year!
@@LittleCocoStudio happy to help! 😊
You can do a dashboard view of your week.
I love that idea! I’ve been very interested in My Dandelion Diaries’ weekly dashboards, and may experiment with something like that. If you have any creators that have also been making dashboards, I would love to see more examples for inspiration! ☺️
the weekly supplement is nigh unusable for me. the A6 vertical weekly columns are so so thin
Someone please like my comment so I remember to come back to this tomorrow 😅 thanks
