- Gamelands are generally open wild lands for hunting, fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and in this case Tubing. The water was cold, but the crowds were hot !

The wild Strawberry was huge!!! It was such a nice patch, but very seedy and not quite as sweet as I like them !! LOL

Saluda you have to really pronounce the U in it Sa lu da...lol I love the Green river when I was in the boy scouts in the 70's we camped there and tubed down the river. Also love Brown mountain area camping in the primitive sites and trout fish in late March/ early April...

Do they still make those pocket field guide books for identifying flowers, plants and animals? There are phone apps for identifying those things now. Gave my knowledge source away. Guess I can’t win that corvette. The flowers and plants were beautiful.
I downloaded 3 apps on my phone that you just take a photo of the flower and it identifies it... Works incredibly well, but its a bit pricey. Like $18 a month, or $1.99 for one day. Trying to find a free one... LOL Still have to use a picture collection for the birds !! LOL Cornell' app is free for that !!

Sighing alot. I'm still stuck in Florida, but it's been a decent spring. Hoping to go north early June, but it's still not very friendly out there, parks only open to locals. Will not stay in private campground.

I just got my 5th cancellation from the National Forest that they are still going to be closed June 5th. until the 18th.. Dang !! This is really getting frustrating !!
