What about the hair?
Thanks for this review. I appreciated your mentioning its weight. I have an expensive Oreck that I bought years ago. I’m not that happy with it and find now that I’m senior it’s getting heavy and hard to use. This Bissel sounds like the perfect vacuum for an older person living on a fixed income. Added note - based on this review I went ahead and bought this vacuum and couldn't be happier. It's easy to use, even for someone w/ arthritis like me, and it does a great job. Much better than my expensive Oreck did. My rug looks like new - which is great for a rug that was bought used. I also like the attachments used with the hose that pulls away from the main vacuum. Again, that is helpful as I have trouble bending to clean baseboards and clean up spider webs, etc.
Thank you so much for your videos! I was seriously considering this vacuum but I am also a snob about the hepa filtration/seal. It's an absolute must in our asthma household. 😬
You just made me feel so much better about my purchase. I didn’t want to purchase a super expensive vacuum but at the same time I didn’t want a piece of crap. I didn’t do much research on it before my purchase but I just knew it wasn’t the worst lol
As someone who owns one of the more expensive vacuums: 1) Buy on sale (I saved $130 on my vacuum during black friday, which definitely helps me justify the buy) and 2) It pays for itself in both time saved vacuuming (because it does such a better job), and the more expensive vacuums also have the "self cleaning brush rollers" (which work incredibly well). So all that time saved may not mean money in your pocket, but time is our most valuable resource.
@@DyanosisWhich one?Because i know for sure, that high end vacuums, those brands are never on sale, nor black friday:)
Oh, delight of delights. A new episode. I'm going through such a hard time and Vacuum Wars is an excellent distraction. I've watched hours of episodes and now there's a new one. Thank you
Hey thank you!
Really? Personally, I think this channel sucks!
@@MichaelJeffrey then why watch it?
And why dump on people who do enjoy this channel
@@thatgrumpychick4928 because vacuum's suck! 🤣

Your content is of great value when it comes to vacuum shopping! Just amazing! Great work man!
Thank you!
Thank you! This is the second time I've used your reviews. First time for a carpet cleaner and now for a vacuum.
Glad I could help!
I found that if you press on the gray pedal again after the first release from upright, it allows the vacuum to go lower when trying to get under furniture. Obviously not as good as a lift off canister, but I find I can get under the bed further. Great review, thank you!
You do such a great job. I own a commercial cleaning company and I always check your video's before i make a vac purchase!
Literally watched this video three days ago. Was in the market for a new affordable vacuum. Bought this vacuum after watching this video. Arrived about 3 hours ago. I’m obsessed it’s really awesome and pretty much ready to go out of the box! Really really impressed! Review was spot on! Highly recommended
So glad to hear you are happy with it! Thanks for commenting.
This vaccum rocks lol.
@@VacuumWars Great video and thank you for what you do. But what would be a good choice that has that infiltration system , great swivel and cost a little more ?
This was a great review of the product. I didn't even know about the suction blocker light. That was definitely a gem. I actually bought this exact vacuum a few months ago and have loved it ever since. It is the best vacuum I've ever owned. My daughter's vacuum died on her a couple months ago and I told her what a great vacuum this was and she bought one too. The reason I found your review on UA-cam was my daughter asked me how I was cleaning my vacuum filters and I decided to look for a video that gave me more in depth information than what I got from the manufacturer's video that told me how to clean the filters, etc. You didn't cover this subject but I did want to compliment you for the great review.
A year later, would you say anything has changed?
Thank you so much for this review. I've been searching and searching for vacuums at all price points.
You're welcome! Glad to have helped!
Just pulled the trigger on this vac based partially on your review. Thank you for the detailed review. Youre awesome!
I hope you really enjoy it! Thank you!
Based on your reviews, we just bought the Shark Navigator NV352.
Not having all that dust flying is amazing. As others have said, we'll never not use a sealed system again. Regarding the Navigator, after renting a rug cleaner and going over the carpet we ran the Navigator straight out of the box and pulled plenty of fine debris and particles.
It's a very quiet unit as well. Our old Eureka upright we had was very loud and VERY VERY dusty.
I'm glad you are so happy with it! Thanks for letting me know!
I like your review, I can't find any good reviews on the bissell HEPA, only 2 commercials for Bissell
@Vacuum Wars Hey buddy could you tell me what the cheapest sealed system vacuum would be? I really wanted to grab this one but when you mentioned the sealed system I'd really prefer that even if it might be out of budget. Any recommendations? Thanks
@@cwatson42785 chris check out the SharkNavigatorNV352. It’s a great vacuum. We’ve had ours for a year now and it’s been well worth the price. @robertviani
I have one of these. One of the best vacuums I have ever had. One thing, if you press the pedal again when you want to vacuum under something, it will allow the handle to go lower.
Agreed
WHAT?! if that works your an amazing person thank you
I also have this vacuum and can't wait to try that!!
What the lol. How did most of us never know this
How could people watch great reviews like this and not subscribe! I'm on my lunch break, have lots of options to watch on UA-cam and the first one I pick is Vacuum wars. I just got a Shark DuoClean ZS36 the other week which is amazing, it was an upgrade to my Shark Rocket DeluxePro. Now I have my Shark Navigator Lift-Away Vacuum (NV352), Miele Blue Star Canister Vacuum S514, and my Shark DeluxePro in storage since I love my Duoclean so much.
My friends and family say I have a vacuum problem.
Doesn't apply to everyone . . . but another selling point for me is Bissell's corporate commitment to pets and the challenges of cleaning pet hair and dander for the average consumer. They even give millions of dollars a year to pet shelter charities to help get rescue pets adopted out.
I got this vacuum on Amazon pre owned (never even taken out of the box) for $73. I’m so glad I went with this one over the other options!
I wish there was someone like you for pool vacuums/robots
ive noticed that with a sealed system (and daily vacuuming), my entire house just stays cleaner in general. I have actually started taking the bin outside to empty it, and my home is virtually dust free now. I havent cleaned my TV screens in over a year, have only dusted and done baseboards once. I (admittedly) used to sort of tune you out/skip ahead when you got into filtration stuff, but I will admit, it is absolutely worth it, and definitely a must-have.
Do you have a sealed vacuum you'd recommend??
Yes, a sealed system is important. Otherwise you just spray your house with dust. They're more expensive, but you get what you pay for
It is so difficult to find a vacuum with HEPA filters and a completely (!) sealed system in Brazil.
Wow, thank you so much for all the work you do to test these products so we know which vacuum is the best to buy.
Our pleasure!
Wow it’s amazing how detailed the tests are. I gotta check out your other videos because I need a vacuum bad and I’m not trying to pay more than 300
Just received mine today and found your video. I like it so far, I’m playing with adjustment heights for different levels of my carpets. It did so a great job. I have long hair and I needed something for that pick up. Worked well.
Great to hear!
It's so crazy, I find this channel just the other day and he goes and reviews the vaccum I got for my new house. Literally agree with everything he said. Great vaccum for the price!
That is awesome!
I must agree it’s a great vacuum for $90. My older Eureka SmartVac started sparking at the place where the cord connects to the unit. To save our house from going up in flames, we decided to end its service life and buy a new vacuum. We looked at shark and dyson but my family is middle class so we looked into budget cleaners like the PowerForce but we said no to the powerforce because of how infamous it is. We ended up settling for this vacuum because 1., it was cheap. 2. I don’t like bagged vacuums because every time I take the bag out it squirts dust in my face and it makes my nose stuffy because I have allergies, and 3. We have 2 cats and we needed a vacuum that can pick up pet hair. We would’ve said no but the reviews were all positive like “OMG THIS VACUUM IS AMAZING.” So we decided to go with that. I haven’t used it for a month because we moved in with my grandma for a bit and she has an older bagged hoover windtunnel model that is stronger than the bissell. So we’ve been using that. But once she moves into her new house (Which is getting built), i will not hesitate to start using the vacuum again. It’s a beast for what a costs.
Thank you! As a professional house cleaner since August now working as a one man team and thinking of starting my own company- LOVE YOU! Thank you for this video and passionate investigation
Awesome! Thanks!
Very useful review. I needed this mainly for hard floors to pickup cat litter and hair.
Would love to see you review the self cleaning mopping robots. There are a few of them out on the market right now, most of which were released this year.
If there is anyone I trust it's you you know your stuff dude I am beyond impressed for how far you go to find the best vaccums
My mom asked me what I want for Christmas. This. This is what I want for Christmas.
Thank you for this great review!
Glad I could help!
I picked this up yesterday at Target for $139. I needed a vacuum right away and considering there are 2 shedding dogs in the house gave this one a try even though I had not seen VACUUM WARS info on it, which I always like to see first. I think it does a good job, but I found it to be a bit heavy actually, but mine does have a "rewind" feature for the cord - which I don't really like and I believe contributes to the weight. I am glad to see that it gets a positive review here as I had to get something quickly, and used my previous learning from Vacuum Wars to make a decision at the store in an emergency! Thanks for the vids!
Eh, I have one upstairs without rewind. Same weight, and you begin to hate not having the rewind lol
I’m a lazy bum, I live the rewind feature
Thanks for the info! Does it do a good job picking up pet hair?
@@AnnnEXE it does pickup our pet hair well, but it would be better if it had a HEPA filter and maybe a slightly better seal for the dust bin. I still use it everyday after all this time so for the money it’s definitely worth it. If you have a bit larger budget, and are sensitive to dander/dust/etc., maybe get a HEPA filter vacuum.
When you do a review, you really do a thorough review.Thanks.
Thanks!
Well you just saw me I just ordered it now. I've been looking all night and going crazy. So thank you for your help😃
I hope you are happy with it!
My parents literally just got me this vacuum a few days ago for an early xmas gift. I immediately looked on your channel to see if you reviewed it and couldn't find anything. Just used it earlier today and now I see you uploaded this video.. HAHA. It's definitely very great for its value and definitely beats my cordless Moosoo vacuum on my medium pile carpet..
That's awesome!
You are AWESOME!!! Great and very professional review. Not even the manufacturer do an evaluation like that (!!!!). It was delightful to watch your video and explanation
Wow, thank you!
Call me a snob but I think a sealed system should be on all vacuums, if the vacuum is just going to leak out the dust you are vacuuming up back out into the room it's not worth using, it's the dust equivalent of some vacuums scattering debris on hard floors but worse as you could be breathing in that dust you just "vacuumed". 🤮
I just ordered one of these. I have a Roomba robotic that I run everyday as I have a Labrador retriever that is a shedding machine but it can't get into small spaces well. So plan to use the Bissell to get into those difficult spots and to use for a quick cleaning when I know someone is coming over for a visit. This may not be a Cadillac of vacuums but it should handle my needs.
I have an older Dyson and I had a room mate who had this vacuum. And this vacuum was fantastic and almost better then my Dyson. This is a great vacuum for the price
Yes, it is a good vacuum, but NOT for the price. There are better options for not much more money than this, like the Hoover T Series bagless uprights.
I have this exact vacuum and love it! ... It is great quality, and has lasted many years!
That is good to hear!
What is the wattage of this specific model?
You are the Vac' Ninja! Great video and demo, thanks 😎
why thank you very much!
3:58...I LOVE all your reviews, but you could have vacuumed underneath that coffee table IF you had "double-clutched" the carriage release. That is, you need to depress the carriage release a second time when the head starts to lift up, to get it to pass the "how low can it go?" test. My Bissell "Rewind SmartClean" model 58F8-3 is the same way.
I just trash picked my Bissell "Cleanview Swivel Pet" model 2252 today. It's missing all the attachments. The lower cord hook is missing. But it "runs and drives."(motor runs and brush roll spins) The "suction indicator" is green in hose pickup mode and red in floor sweep mode. So the filter and brush roll need cleaning.
Watching this video makes me all the more want to clean it up and go back to the dumpster to look for possible missing attachments, especially since it may have not have been used much (hardly any scruff marks on it)! Serial # starts with "20", indicating it's made in 2020. I will post a video on my model 2252 when it is ready. Keywords "Marshall Curtis"/"vacuum cleaners"/"Bissell model 2252."
Very informative video. I have a Jack Russell Terrier and this dog sheds a ton of hair. I have a Dirt Devil vacuum, and it clogs easily where the hose comes into the canister on the backside with his fine hairs!!
This video, and the great reviews of this Bissell vacuum made me order one from Walmart
Glad it was helpful!
I got to agree with this assessor on this particular model I didn't know where to set the level setting so when all else fails 12:00 or mid-setting is the right one and that is the one I always have been using since I bought it 3 years ago and it seemed to do the job on high carpet low carpet hardwood floors and linoleum but I wrestled with this pet and being 71 years old and not having the greatest back I don't enjoy that and when I did adjust the level and it was pushing itself but also pushing the dirt damn if that wasn't a disappointment!
Lol I know I'm getting old when this is what I look up on UA-cam, great video thanks
Honesty, after switching to a vacuum with a "Sealed System" with a HEPA filter, I can never go back to an unsealed vacuum. I don't care how good of a value it is or how good of a vacuum it may be. An unsealed vacuum just blows dust back into the air. I would sneeze every time I ran my old vacuum. Dust in the house was much worse. If you have pets an unsealed vacuum stinks.
What vacumn do you recommend?
@@lilianamunoz3003 I really can't make a recommendation. I don't have much experience. I've used a Shark Navigator for the last 4 years or so. Basically whatever vacuum you like as long as it's a sealed system. I believe most if not all Shark vacuums are sealed systems. Most of the medium to high end vacuums are sealed (bagged or bagless).
What a great video
Thank you for your work ✌🏽
Thank you!
I’ve noticed a lot of people throw out bissell powerforce vacuums I think there good for there price I’ve got a bissell powerforce bagged and I love it the machine cleans well and is easy to maintain
I bought this last year and I'm so glad I did. It's a great vacuum!
Great to hear!
Was in the process of trying to repair my Shark. Thanks!
I really think you should do a harder deep clean test with a fluffier and or deeper carpet because if a lot of the vaccums do a 100 maybe there is still a difference in deep cleaning capability.
I was thinking the same thing
I bought the Bissell 2692 and thought it had swivel but it doesn't. I do wish these were HEPA rated too. But this vacuum is 100x better than my Junk $60 Dirt Devil it replaced. I went out on a limb and bought it due to it being on sale and having a great experience with the Bissell Pro Heat 2x 15489. I still hope to get a Shark ICZ362H and a Ecovacs Deebot N8+ for black Friday in 2022. Hopefully those will be available at an even deeper discount next year.
I’m so happy for my purchase now ☺️
I ❤ all of your test. As a mom of 3 tots, the only test missing is a year later after daily or weekly use how much do the number drop? Keep up the great work
I have a small battery powered vacuum, it's not really performing the way I'd like on area carpet in the house even though rest of the home is tile. After seeing this online and finding your review for it I was sold. Thanks for the metrics and thoughts on this vacuum, I think it will help me a lot.
I usually don't click links that earn people money like this but i like you, nice video
Thanks for the review! I just ordered one. :)
I hope you enjoy it!
@@VacuumWars I hope so too! It's out for delivery today, so I'll know soon. A lot of reviews I read say that hair somehow gets stuck by the belt and causes the belt to overheat and break. That was the only thing that people didn't like about it. And Sam's Club had such a great deal on this vacuum that I went ahead and bought a 3 year extended warranty (which I never do, but seemed like a really good idea in this case). New belts are cheap, but the extended warranty was pretty cheap too. Thanks again for the review!
Your channel is so helpful 👍👍
Why thank you very much!
If this were cordless, I'd buy one today! And a couple as gifts!
It's marketed as a pet vacuum, yet no mention of how it handles hair tangles.
The attachments are tangle free and pet friendly. The attachments are designed for easy pet hair detangling.
It doesn't. I had one of these and honestly, it was pretty good and inexpensive- for a bit. After cleaning it and cleaning it, the brush at the end of the head just snapped and stopped working. I realized it was my wife's hair just wrenched around the brush lol
Saw a few of these at my local TJ MAxx for 99.99, might stop by and see if one is still here!
I have this and although it is great at picking up pet hair from carpet for a cheap vacuum, i think its too loud, and i noticed dust sitting on it after vacuuming. The air also seems stuffy after using it, id rather pay $50-$100 more for say the shark navigator zero m, which according to these videos also more powerful and just all around better... i only wish i found this channel sooner
This or the Kenmore Featherlite Lift if you have pets and shag carpets?
I’ll continue to be somewhat of a snob. My only concern, other than the unsealed system, is the longevity of cheaper vacuums. I do have occasional issues with my vacuum, but every part is easily available, for a reasonable price.
Dammit, I finally thought my search for an affordable, well performing vac was over, until I reached the end of your video. HEPA filtration (a vac that doesn't leak) and ability to vacuum under a table is a must. My search begins anew....
I recommend the Dyson Ball Animal 3. It has a sealed system with HEPA filtration, the brushroll is beltless and doesn't tangle, it has much better build quality, and it has a lot of suction power. I bought my Dyson Ball Animal 3 Extra from QVC, and it works great!
I have this model and love it, no complaints.
That's great to hear. Glad you are happy with it.
Excellent video, thank you!
Thanks!
I’m not really in the market for a vacuum cleaner. These vids are just fun to watch.
Thanks!
Yay, another Vacuum Wars video!
I'm definitely not a vacuum snob but who wants to spend good money on a piece of junks. Our vacuum just died yesterday so I went on the Khol's site to order something to clean my floors. I've bought $59 Dirt Devils in the past so I knew I wanted better quality than that. This Bissell Pet Vacuum was on sale for $106 and it had pretty good reviews. After listening to your expert assessment I feel really good about my purchase. Thanks.
we hope you enjoy it!
I bought one type of like box damaged, from Amazon deal for only $72 well instead of $120 brand new, worth it just put in corner of your house for a handy cleanup really quick around the house and patio
i recently got it. i have a lab and a cat, i also have a maltipoo who doesn’t shed at all but my other 2 animals so & i absolutely love it. 10/10 no complaints
So glad you are happy with it!
While Bissells are cheap and in my opinion aren’t built the best, they are good if you just got your first apartment or even a small mobile home. They do clean well for their price, and are fairly easy to maintain as their bins come pretty much completely apart.
You didn't give any better alternatives, so thanks for the advice I guess?
Thank you for your work
You're welcome. Thank you too for being a subscriber.
Awesome, I'm convinced, after hours of research!
Glad I could help!
@@VacuumWars you did! I picked one up today and it's great. Only wish it had a HEPA filter but oh well.
Just switched from this vacuum to the shark apex duo clean zero M. Vacuuming up dog food on hard wood sucked! Sure I could adjust the height but I could also just have grabbed it with a broom. I like a vacuum that does it all with minimal effort. I had to pin dog food to the base board and ram it to get it. Owner of two dogs, floor got cleaned. But not that clean. Had to go over spots a few times. Don’t get me wrong. For the price point sure. But if you had a house with 90% hard wood and dogs shark all the way. I love my apex. Also, I found on carpet it required me to really push it to get it to move. Almost like it hated being on carpet [yes I tried all the different height adjustments. Medium mile carpet]
Shark was the first vacuum I ever used that didn't send my allergies into a frenzy and cause me to choke when vacuuming. That was primarily one of the reasons I hardly vacuumed. Even though the Shark Rocket stick vacuum wasn't HEPA, the seal was enough to make the difference. Now I don't even consider a vacuum that isn't sealed, and will always gravitate towards HEPA as well. The Cleanview I have stopped being used after I got the Shark Rocket, and the one time I did use it for a super quick "let me see if this gets more than the Shark" I ended up coughing so much I had to go outside till the dust settled! That and I found the height adjusting was never very good.
same with me! every time i vacuumed, all the "leakage" would put me into a sneezing fit. got a basic shark navigator years ago that had hepa and have never went back (and never will)! i love not sneezing my lungs out with a waterfall coming out of my eyes anymore 😅
What does this have to do with this Bissell?
@@renegirardi6624 And I quote - "The Cleanview I have stopped being used after I got the Shark Rocket, and the one time I did use it for a super quick "let me see if this gets more than the Shark" I ended up coughing so much I had to go outside till the dust settled! @@schlowe2003Extremely wordy.... But I read it several times and realized you were saying that you didn't like the performance of the Bissell. Got it.
@@renegirardi6624 your the kind of person who wonders why they have problems, you create them.
I usually only ever bought the 50-60 dollar basic vacuums and finally splurged on this one bc it wasn't TOO expensive and it has honestly been my favorite vacuum I've owned in the last 15 years
glad you are happy with it!
I have this vacuum and the problem areas for me: I have had hair get in the belt melted the belt. Hair also wraps around the inside and you have to pull the drum to get it out. Lastly the wells are absolutely terrible on large area rugs
Thank you!
Vacuum gauge green/red is REALLY old. Interesting channel, I just found it 🤣 👍🏼
Great video.
You mentioning the turbo brush got me thinking. What make of turbo brush is the best?
In general, I like motorized brush tools.
Now I bought my Bissell Pet vacuum about 3 years ago so it's not exactly this model but in minute two of this 5-minute video it speaks exactly about on hard floors it is pushing the dirt around instead of vacuuming it up so maybe I'll get the answer in the next 3 minutes but if I don't if anybody has any suggestions other than that one issue on hard floors linoleum or low pile carpet I love this little "Sucker"lol 🤪😝🙄🤔
Great video, as always! But quick question,
I know you can buy vacuum cleaner filter replacements locally or online to fit most vacuums, so if they made a filter for this model made of HEPA material how much do you think it would help with the filtration? Considering the fact that it isn't a sealed system and all
I try not to comment on something if I haven't actually tested it. I guess for me an unsealed system can be relied on to be just that - an unsealed system, if that makes sense.
@@VacuumWars is this worth the extra price over the cleanview lift off version? Just bought the lift off and has HEPA sealed but it's cheaper
Love Bissel vacuums!
Though I have to admit I miss my Hoover even though it was the one with the bags even though it was much heavier than this one but what it did have was a power button or it virtually pushed itself I miss that puppy, pet pun intended! 🤣
One con that's never caught is where that hose comes out from the vacume. Bissell puts it higher which causes it to pull the vacume over, often violently fast if there's high suction. I have many bruses around my spine to prove it.
Aside from this major problem i would be happy with this vacume.
You should review the Wyze cordless stick vacuum
1:20 they should add that on more vacuums but on the more higher end ones they should have like a little led screen as the indicator
Very informative video, how to compare this to the standard 152 $200 vacuums shark sold at Costco..
Bissell is my ISH!!!!!!!!! I stay keeping their vacuums and carpet cleaners! I don't mind cheap sometimes,I just need it to WORK lol
Your videos are the best
Thank you!
I have this exact vacuum. We brought it because it was super cheap, we have two cats so we needed a vacuum that can pickup pet hair, and my family can’t afford a shark or dyson.
I hope you are happy with it!
I got the helix power for super cheap. Works awesome. Only have 1 room with carpet
Hey, I’m curious about the Dyson Cinetic Big Ball. Ive seen stuff about the filter less design and I’m curious if it actually works?
There are several reviews on Amazon that state that many of these vacuums got tangled with pet hair and CAUGHT ON FIRE. Instead of looking at the aggregate of reviews, I always look at some of the bad ones to see if there is a common thread. It is a big problem with reviews that some companies can pack the reviews with fake reviews so you should always look at the bad ones and determine how credible they are. Some of these bad reviews had photos and video to match.
@Frank Maggard exactly. When I visit my mom. I always deep clean her house and the outside. After all it’s still my home. She Owens this one and it picks up very well , and I always empty out after each use. It’s still like brand new.
This is one of those vacuums after a year or two the exterior of the vacuum is covered in fine dust(unless you regularly clean your vacuum) due to it being a unsealed, non-hepa unit.
I was almost sold on this but we have stairs and curious if had any kind of lift away features? If that makes sense? Makes it easy to vacuum stairs without having the bulky bottom wheels lumbering up the stairs 🤔😏
Is there a video how to use the wand attachment I’m not getting suction what could I be doing wrong? Thanked for any help!!
Great reviews. I had a Dyson and hated it when it broke and couldn’t get parts easily. Bissel parts are available and reasonable - I want to try a shark and hope they are repair-friendly
They're not. They're pretty much disposable, crap vacuums that try to pass off as high quality machines.
@@RyanSellman1that’s disappointing to hear…I guess I go with the less effective bissell knowing I can repair it
@@1972mdc I'd just try and save up my money towards a high quality vacuum, like a Dyson (yes, they're high quality to me. I've had 3 Dysons, and they always worked as advertised), Sebo, Riccar, Miele, etc. There's also a vacuum called the Workhorse, which is basically a rebranded Amway ClearTrak vacuum that's also really good performance and quality wise, and it's totally serviceable.
I got this vaccum and actually pretty good
