So sad about Bandimere. Just glad we were able to get so much good racing content out of it before it closed, and it can live on in these types of videos
the owners of Bandimere are planning on making a new track next to DIA. it's what you call insurance. people move next to a track, then get mad at the track being loud. if people live next to an airport but complain about it being loud, well tough shit.
Someone needs to build a track and preserve it by buying up all the land around it so that people can’t encroach upon it with plans to build houses and then complain about noise.
@@kennyrivera6332They sold it because they got a deal they couldn't refuse. They've been saying for years that they are out of space. This rumor mill is getting really old.
@@losermonkey2007 I’ve heard a lot of things lol. But I agree with what your saying. Cause it sounds familiar. I drive by the track everyday T-T gonna be sad when it’s gone
@kennyrivera6332 it will suck when it's gone, but this has been the first year that events, especially test and tune have been sold out. Seems strange that so many people are upset, yet hardly ever went.
that what CO did with DIA. People moved in and around the old denver airport and complained. So they took the most land any airport has even been built on to prevent this in the future. You just can't fix r e t a r d like buying house next to a drag strip to then complain.
Yes when you set down some good numbers it is so emotional. The amount of work that goes into these cars. First just working to get the money and equipment to build the car and then all the work that goes into actually building the car. Dedication!
Who knew that Matt was such an index/bracket ACE?! Damn son! And Alec with the homerun hit outta nowhere! Crew of killers right here... Good stuff as always guys!
Three things I'll always be cherish of as a teenager; Seeing U2 at the Red Rocks, Def Leppard at McNichols Arena (in the round) and running our cars at Bandimere. Looking back, my friends and I were lucky to experience all three
I was able to chat and hand out at the pit with the white chevette couple that evening and it is one thing that makes drag racing great but they were very cool and super friendly. I m sure they had an impact in more than just myself and I m sure many many other participants are responsible for similar. Sincerely thank you to the chevette couple from Texas/Oklahoma and also some of the crew I bumped into as well were awesome I very much appreciate all of you and your efforts. I think it goes with out saying that bandimere going away is incredibly sad and leaves a huge hole in my heart as many others feel I m sure as well but I m very grateful to have this night be my good bye to thunder on the mountain… I once lived close enough to hear the top fuel and even the pro stock cars rumble down the strip during testing sessions.. that will be missed 😢
The Bandimere Family will build and we will come.. They're committed to keeping the legacy going and i love that.. Are you guy's going to fl2k? Really hope so, it's gonna be the best yet. Would much rather watch a 1320 video of the event than TRC
I live in New Zealand, never been to the states and i feel like ive been to this multiple times. Watching all of Brent with Pfi racing here over the years has made it feel like home. So sad its being shut down.
Good to finally catch a breather to see people less on-pressure to do interviews while workin' on the cars. Great week and event to watch along with! The Maverick and the Boosted Z were my favorites, but LOTS of awesome machines to get inspired by!
You will own nothing and you will be happy.. Get used to it.. The great reset build back better global new world order Agenda has no room for motorsports.
Dude with the 454 camper is cool..”it’s doing good!”…… used quite a bit of oil , swapped the tires, did a break job on it, did plugs n wires , did alternator and fuel pump.. so far so good , I’d say👌🏼🤣🤣🤣🤣🤜🏼🤛🏼🤘🏼
OK. To the guy in the Killer Clapped Out Truck. You are one helluva driver keeping that jittery rubber band of a chassis setup going straight My hat’s off to you. Rock-On!
So glad you interviewed the 335d! I daily one and they are such an amazing car most dont know about.pulls like a freight train. Mine runs 12s on a street tire and gets 40+ mpg highway. Name another car that can do that.
Sad to hear that. I lived in golden jackson st. Rode lookout on a old road bike. Skied the mesa east three times . Wish i knew the end was near. Hopefully Greatlakes wont be doing the same.
Oh man here we go... Can't believe Bandimere is closing down! This pisses me off more than making me sad. The decision certainly can't be about property value, as there are countless empty acres all around there in Colorado. I can understand a money problem as we all are dealing with that. But if thats the case why didn't the owners reach out to the racing community for some help? As a lifetime Detroiter, seeing the original Detroit Dragway close for good, then watch it turned into a sea of warehouses made me both sad and mad. That happened sometime in the early or mid 90s. It was so upsetting that i dont care to remember the date and time when it all ended. The only satisfaction i got from that time was being able to race there in it's final month of existence. So many tracks gone, not near enough new ones being built, or made, or saved. A dragstrip can be very successful if managed right. Just ask Bill Bader of Norwalk Raceway. He knows the deal.
Racers need to start getting with the times. They're trying to kill the first world for their Eco-terrorist green policies. Get educated this isn't conspiracy
It's all up to the owners and the offers they get, I would think. The whole management of the strip and crew and safety. They could just say eh I'll take the money and move on without a thought. Seen it happen live at a local 1/4 mile strip in Arkansas can't remember where but north west ish.
I understand what y'all are saying... It's all about the money. I mean, yeah it always is. What I'm trying to say is that a good promoter along with a dedicated track owner and supportive staff and crew can make or break a track. The right people can take it from a ho-hum experience to a mind blower every weekend and therefore attract all the racers people want to see. That attracts the crowd. Us racing crowd are more than happy to support a bangin' job of promoting and managing a good track. I've never been there but from what I understand bandimere is an awesome track facility wise. It's not that old and the infrastructure and layout are on the money. Yeah they picked a spot 5000-6000 feet in the sky but that's what makes this track unique is that the less air density affects everyone equally. The challenge is enticing for us midwesterners to show what we can do at "any track any time" kind of mentality. Why not play that up? Again, ask Bill Bader of Norwalk fame how to run a racetrack! I mean that track still sells local ice cream, 1 freaking pound of quality ice cream in a cup.. for One Dollar! Clean large restrooms, free showers, state of the art grandstands, a darn good and fast racing surface, list goes on and on. You know, things that make the racers and spectators want to keep coming back. As far as promoting races, there are some seriously talented people out there who know how to throw a party when it comes to gathering the quickest and fastest cars around to their event. If your shows are lacking it might be worth it to hire a few of these guys to promote an event at your facility. Colorado has some serious winters I know, but that can still be worked around. All I'm trying to do is point out positive things that track owners can do to increase revenue and make it worth their time. Just selling out seems like, uh well... A sell out. If it's just about the money then why did they get involved in the first place? Like anything good in life, often you have to work for it. At least a little bit. By now I'm sure y'all know what I'm trying to say here, and I hate to see another track go bye bye. We made it thru the stupid covid, surely we can continue to make it thru whatever else is in store for us all. If ww3 wipes out 90% of the population and the world has to be rebuilt again from scratch, I guarantee you the first two pieces of the next generation of transportation line up next to each other, the two men are gonna want to know which one is quicker and faster. For a more realistic comparison of hard times vs drag racing is 1973 and the gas crunch. Gas went to record breaking highs for that time, never experienced before. Detroit muscle suffered but still didn't matter people were out there drag racing even when gasoline doubled in price and was even difficult to buy for awhile. Dad daily drove his 1967 442 during that gas crunch and we got thru it just fine. We are American People and we can and will get thru whatever is being thrown at us and none of it will prevent us from drag racing!
Tell you what, I liked that mans crower T-shirt...shows he knows who makes the best solid roller lifter in the business 😂😂..sad to see it close, good thing they are building another
Ben,, get it right. It is a taxi engine. Or a workhorse engine. A wholegeneration of cabs were BA-FG Falcons. Yes plenty of Falcon reps cars even privately owned Falcons. It seems they only have manual cars in Canada,,, autos are far easier in traffic.
My Fiesta ST was making 27.9psi at 14,000ft on Evans lol… It was hailing. You didn’t even make it to the rough stretch. I was doing 75 in the whoops before it was time to lift lol

Jason Hurley hugging everyone in the pits after his 200mph pass was great. Dude is a beast! Thank you for the epic video 1320.
Bandimere will always be a historic track, so sad to see it go.
This coverage of the final races at Bandimere is some of the best content y’all have ever put out. Hats off to ya
I hope they open a new facility soon. Even at a different spot, we need the great people of Bandimere to stay in racing.
I think i heard 2 years they will open up a strip by air port
Unfortunately I highly doubt it'll happen. It's sad, and I know they said they want to, but the likelihood is so low 😞
9:11 they said what was happening in the video
65 years and a fat check, they are going to enjoy retirement
They are dropping like flies. The Sacramento Raceway is closing at the end of the season too.
Can't be by accident, probably some evil person's plan
I pray rocky mountain race week keeps going strong for years to come so I can participate one day. Love what 1320 does for the racing community
The way u interviews all the drivers,so learning proces for me,the way u talks, all of ur team 1320 is so idol for me
The look on the dog's face as the rv did its lurching burnout......didn't know what's going on- "It doesn't normally do this?!" Made my day!
The competition between the 1320 guys has really made race week great this year.
Someone needs to build a track and preserve it by buying up all the land around it so that people can’t encroach upon it with plans to build houses and then complain about noise.
That’s why they sold it, bunch of houses slowly getting closer to the track hence why they sold it. 😭

Another great video guys. Wish you would have been at Sacramento raceway to cover its last race before closing, a couple weekends ago.
I grew up at that track. Been going there for over 30 years and I am truly heart broken 💔

Awesome seeing Tony on Raceweek! Billy and the old man need to do it too!

people who buy houses near a racetrack & then bitch about the sound to get them closed down are the worst
Great job everyone!! Fred and the Happy Birthday thing is confusing and hilarious.
