Trying to learn all about suspension and discovered your channel - Subbed. Recently bought a DJ with Suntour XCM30s (9mm bolt on axle)..... really fast rebound with no adjustment, any advice on an upgrade path that wont break the bank or require a new hub?
Thanks for the sub! You'll probably have to find an older Fox or Rockshox; almost everything modern is gonna be tapered or through axle... There might be a Manitou model that fits...
@@ButterSuspension Makes sense, thanks for the reply! It’s been a nice ride the last 3 years I’ve been riding it. Had a lower service and new dust seals last spring from a local shop but was hoping to do my own next time.
@@ButterSuspension Rare bird there. I don't think I've ever seen one for sale, let alone in person. An original Dorado SC/single crown popped up for sale last year on FB marketplace...they wanted $1,000 for it. 😬
I have half of a Dorado SC, ha ha. Someone had the CSU, left leg and axle so I snapped that up, but the chances of making that fork complete are about the same as buying a RAC...
I appreciate the info the fork in question, is on a original 03 trek desel dh in I would say excellent condition and I would very much like to keep it in that form.any help for this particular bike would be sweet.
Sweet. I look forward to it.
I prefer Margarine Suspension
How could you?!
Just doesn't taste as good!
Sending you 😎👍for 2021
Loving the content. If you have one come through I would love to see a tear down of a marzocchi z1 /z3 QR20!
I'll add it to the list! Endlessly rebuildable forks, as long as you can find seals.
Shared you on GMBN for the Reverb Bleed! Always love the tech deep dives
Thanks Ryan!
Do a Bucklos fork tear down. I love seeing China forks ripped on.
Is there anyway you could do a tutorial on how to rebuild a rockshox recon?
At some point, yes. I don't get many of them in for service. Rockshox has pretty good service documents on their website.
@@ButterSuspension I have looked at those but it something about you that makes me u sweat and stuff better
Boxer race to be exact
Hell yea!!!! Love the contend!!!!!
Damn I think I just got a little high when saw that you uploaded.
More on the way, thanks for watching!
Can you do a how to service on rock shox forks like recon solo, Gold 35 RL

Any chance of a tear down on a X-Fusion McQueen fork? These are hard to find diy videos on!
Never seen one come through the shop, not many out there compared to the standard Fox/Rockshox stuff...

Is there any retro suspension/forks you wish you could get your hands on but haven't come across yet?
The Marzocchi RAC is my unicorn. Someday!

Need help I have a 03 rs boxer with the old brake mounts are there still rebuild kits available for it
Full kits are hard to find, but they can be made. I have dust wipers in stock for them.
I'll go check it out thanks

Greg, you're a great guy but let's be real, you'll never be as great as Blippie...
So much to learn about, it'll make you wanna shout MONEY!
