Rain Screening For Longer Lasting Siding

I'm using a budget material for siding. This might be my biggest mistake on this build project but I think it's worth a shot. The price is right and the material is easy to work with. I'm also taking extra steps to make sure it stays as dry as possible by floating the siding away from the sheathing, using a rain screen. This is basically an air gap that will allow the siding to dry quickly if it ever does become wet.
