That oreo scene was executed soooo poorly 😂 There's definitely some good points of discussion though. As an Asian, I used to be called a Twinkie because of how I acted and it made me question my identity and my relationship with my ethnicity. It sucks being called a Twinkie (or an Oreo) because its complete disregard to your experiences as an Asian (or Black person) and that's super problematic. As a minority, I want to be recognized fully as a minority. How I act, talk, or dress should not define my race, and I think that's what this scene is *trying* to say. However her saying "I'm a black girl who enunciates" is so problematic because it implies that black people usually don't enunciate, supporting the stereotypes against African Americans and Black culture. Instead she should have said "I enunciate. That doesn't make me any less Black" or something like that.

He would be practicing with them and dear god it was frightening to watch... dude was a god with the things. I could never.

Not shocking. Jokes like that weren’t looked down upon back then because nobody cared. If those jokes were in current shows however it would be a HUGE controversy. Shows like glee (etc) that dare to make such jokes can’t exist now because people are gonna call it out.

Personally, I never found All in the Family funny. Rather, I found it racist and mean. But I was a baby, if that, when that show was airing. If there were reruns as I was growing up, I chose not to watch them because I did not like that show. I doubt any network would air that show, even in reruns, today.
What is my point with a show nobody was talking about? If people don't like a tv show that stopped years ago; don't watch it. Arabesques are the easiest shape in cheer, you just stick your friggin leg ou
In dance using proper technique it most definitely takes flexibility, but in cheerleading they never EVER use proper form for them so it’s not hard to just put their leg out there
