hi everyone 🌿✨ i hope you enjoyed the video & don’t forget to like + subscribe because it really helps me out ♡ i hope you have a wonderful rest of your day! love u always ☁💕
Here are some of my unpopular opinions: Smut in books is just OVERRATED. It seems like some people only read books for spicy scenes. The Hunger Games is not on booktok enough. It’s a booktok book, but I just don’t see it that often. I feel like some booktok books romanticize abuse in relationships, and that is just something I cannot support. The Fault In Our Stars is a contemporary romance that I feel like should appear way more on booktok. I don’t mind people who annotate, but I would honestly never do that, because that seems very time consuming.
the love hypothesis make me feel so jealous of the relationship between Adam and Olive, I’m literally in love with both of them. This book was just sooo good
Love Hypothesis is one of the worst books I’ve read this year and has positively the WORST sex scene of anything I’ve ever read. As for CoHo, I’ve read two books of hers now (November 9 & It Ends With Us) and I just can’t get into her tendency for writing male leads with savior complexes. I have specific issues with both of them but as a general writing style thing that’s why I’m not into her. Still, anything that gets people reading is a win in my book 👍🏻
The Spanish love deception is one of my favorite books..I know not many people liked it because it was slow or because in the beginning was kinda boring 😂 I understand but still it's my favorite book and no one can change my mind ❤
I was really enjoying ugly love but i think what ruined it was Miles character development. He treated Tate so shitty and i didnt find believable that he treated her shitty because of his past. And that weird twist with Cap at end was not believable for me either🤧 i did like it in some parts but it just fell flat for me at end. Still love Colleen Hoover though lol. My favorite from her is it ends with us🤍
I couldn’t understand why I had a hard time getting through the Spanish love deception then I found out it’s cause it was her first book 😅 but I did finish it and gave it 3 stars just cause I like the concept and love Aaron but I def would not be able to reread it. Literally took like a quarter of the book to even get to Spain!
I’m team manuscript for Verity. I thought she was very manipulative and even in her letter at some parts I thought she was being manipulative. I think Verity is pure evil. What really solidified my thoughts is when I watched this video interviewing Colleen Hoover. CoHo said that she thought Verity is evil also, and if the writer believes it, I believe it.
The Spanish Love Deception is one of my favorite books! I love the cultural references! Reminds me of me and my husband! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on it!
I also agree with the Spanish love deception… it was indeed a deception lol. (Didn’t enjoy the main character and I feel like the ending was very random), but I love how respectful you were and just laughed and had fun to these people’s opinions!! When others do this video, there’s so much unnecessary hate, so I appreciate this!!!
The spanish love deception is definitely overrated. I DNFed it at 60%. I usually DNF books if i dont get into it in 100 pages but i continued because i thought it will catch up since its so hyped? but yeah it didn’t. plus there's no spice? :)
I absolutely agree with u on People We Meet On Vacation it was soooo boring: the constant back nd forth between past nd present was so boring nd most of the time I felt it did nothing to the story nd was over descriptive ( another book with kinda similar vibes was love & other words but in this one I felt the back nd forth made the story interesting and helped in adding more depth to the relationship nd characters) Also, the reason behind the conflict that lasted 12 years was so underwhelming nd I think a conversation would've solved it...nd I didn't feel any chemistry between the main characters Loved the video !!! 💖
omg i clicked on this video to watch while i paint my nails and i was so surprised when i realized the color of your shirt and phone case are the same colors as the nail polishes i chose lol. great vid btw!! 🤍
Ok sorry I feel the need to stand up for the Spanish Love Deception hahah🤪 So, it is a slow burn, but in my opinion very well done. It felt like I was reading a comforting romcom movie and in my opinion it had enough cutesy scenes, I didn’t think it was boring at all aa. There is fake dating involved and it’s an enemies to lovers, that’s the best combo ever tbh. Aaron Blackford is one of my top tier bookish boyfriends. And don’t worry, there is spice in there, you just have to be a little patient. It’s totally okay if you don’t feel this way when you read it btw, butttt I just wanted to make you less nervous to read it, it’s a super fun romance read. Loved the video!! 💘
Well, I didn't like ebooks either. I ended up getting one for Christmas one year, and I used it once or twice and then sat it down. I came back later out of boredom, had a couple of books on it, like free stuff. I turned off all the lights at night, shut the blinds and read. I realized how much I enjoyed it, a magical experience. I still read paperback and hardback. I prefer hardbacks, but hey, none of us be rich, right?
romance authors that aren't talked about enough are definitely sophie kinsella and lauren weisberger. theyre famous because some of their books got adapted to television (the devil wears prada, confessions of a shopaholic), but people don't talk about them a lot since they were published a long time ago :( i recently finished the undomestic goddess by sophie k and it was so cute and funny!!
I'm team letter but I'm hoping that the bonus chapter in the upcoming new version adds some light to the matter because I havee soo many questions! Btw I love your content💕
10:54 The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo has my freakin heart!!! I picked it up not expecting a lot but I loved it. Evelyn and Celia's story broke me and it was so sad how she died and she was Evelyn's one true love!😭💚overall, that book was definitely worth the hype
I am a hard core directioner 😅 so I actually read after when it was still being published on wattpad and it definitely is cringey lol which is why I still have not watched the movie adaptation cause idk if I can sit through that.
*Ugly Love* & *November 9 were just average for me, but *It Ends With Us* was EXCELLENT and broke me 😭 *Song of Achilles* was good but nowhere near as good as the hype( *Circe* was better)... *People We Meet on Vacation* was just OK, but *Beach Read* & *Book Lovers* were very good and you should read both... I really enjoyed *Verity* and I'm Team Manuscript... I LOVE Ebooks and enjoy reading on Kindle or my iPhone... Love Paperback over Hardback 📚 I always have an audiobook & an eyeball book going at same time and try to keep the genre different
I loved spanish love deception, idk y a lot of ppl thought it was okay. It is a slow burn story but yeah I understand y it came there but I enjoyed it soon much. Anyways, love your content.
I really loved Beach Read, Emily Henry’s writing is so good in my opinion. It was super easy for me to stay interested and want to read more. I don’t understand how some people don’t like beach read 😭 it was so worth the hype
i will say i read beach read first and freakin loved it and it made me so emotional and was excited to read people we meet on vacation but tbh people we meet on vacation kinda bored me and i hated all the flashbacks 🤷🏻♀️
i hate the sticky tabs that stick out on books for annotating. i will write scribble draw highlight in my books but I HATE the sticky tabs that stick out no matter how close you place them in the book, I feel icky when I see them. especially if there's a color coding. i don't think there's anything wrong with people who do, its a good way to annotate without writing but personally they're so ugly
The person that wrote we were liars has a book called genuine fraud and it’s so fucking weird cause it has time jumps in it but really good twists but kinda predictable till the last twist🤣
Hey...I hope you are doing great... The Spanish love deception is slow burn but it's a cute romantic novel... I would suggest you that try it out... You might like it...
Hi, I’m team manuscript for verity and loved it! I’ve just finished we were liars it’s a slow read, it has a good plot twist but not until the last few of chapters. Xx
If you read the second book a family of liars, It gives more context to the first book and helped me understand the family. I found it a slow read mostly because there is so much description of everything. Maybe just me reading them back to back. Xx
I liked People We Meet On Vacation more than beach read but its just my opinion I guess I also prefer paperback more than hardcover 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️also agree with you with the overly hyped books I read it ends with us but it didn't make me cry but enjoyed it or song of Achilles but a thousand boy kisses definitely did 🤔😂
ok bestie I did NOT like people we meet on vacation either but beach read completely redeemed Emily Henry for me!!! beach read made me CRRRYYYYYY, you should definitely give it a try
I know it's been a while since this video was uploaded but I thought I'd mention my unpopular opinions : 1) the silent patient has an incredible plot and the author is a genius but the ending is kind of predictable (to an extent) 2) all your perfects would have been a thousand times better if there wasn't that "then and now" part, I would have loved it so much more if it went at a normal pace. I hated that I had to fall in love with the couple in the then part and then be heartbroken for them in the now part, last two chapters are worth keeping up with all of that though.
I honestly kind of agree about the Cruel Prince (pls don’t attack me 😅). Personally I didn’t think it was bad, but it was so hyped up that I was disappointed when I read it. Overall not a horrible book, but definitely overhyped.
I read beach read… was so disappointed gave it 2* started reading people we meet on vacation and dnf’d it after 100 I couldn’t Emily Henry ain’t for me lmao the thing that did it in PWMOV was the love interest hating on people coving songs but does karaoke like plsssss
Some of my unpopular bookish options - Im not a fan of Colleen Hoover, especially ugly love. I couldn’t get past certain aspects of the book lol 😂 sorry girl - I prefer Ya books over adult books, especially romance. Some spicy scenes are too cringe - I Hate the bully romance trope and the unexpected pregnancy trope
I also don't like colleen Hoover, but I have only read one book, but from everything I have seen cheating is a common theme, and that really turned me off. I also didn't see anything special in the book which was sad bc when I started I was really excited to read it but had gut feeling I wasn't going to like her books.
@@marlaneyevans2033 trust me your not missing out lol 😂 I’ve read most of her books and the only one I liked was Hopeless. I HATED ugly love and November 9. Both books depict toxic relationships where she tries to pass off as “romance “ 😒
Sharing my opinions!: 1. I have no idea, I haven't read the book. 2. Ugly love was kind of predictable, but I LOVED the book. 3. Strongly dislike ebooks. I feel that they're more difficult to understand and imagine. Plus it just feels better to read a physical copy. 4. ack I've never read the Song of Achilles but I want to! 5. People on the book cover ruin it like why are you on there go away. And especially when they're shirtless like nO 6. I've never read the book :D 7. I have never annotated my books but I really want to. I think it's fun and decorative- However, I would never write in my book. That is book MURDER. Only on the annotation tabs. :D 8. I honestly love both. I have a few books that have nice hardcovers so yeah- But I also love paperbacks 9. The Inheritance Games. I feel so guilty for saying this but I have never read it! (EDIT: I READ IT!! I LOVE THIS BOOK) 10. Guess what... never read the books! :) I heard good things about them, though! 11. Guess this is what I'm going to say for each one now. Never read it! 12. I loved Ugly Love. It was my first... *spicy* ... book so it was a little scary but it was worth it. 13. You already know. Never read the book. 14. I'm not really sure about this one. Long chapters can get annoying but when a chapter is one page- However, I would say shorter chapters because I recently read a book that had the shortest chapters but they meant so muchhh- 15. I don't mind the friends to lovers trope but it's def not my favorite. 16. I'm torn. It Ends with Us was my favorite book. I recently read it and I fell in love with the characters. It was so adorable and had so much meaning. However, Ugly Love had so much meaning as well and I- I just can't pick. 17. I'm just going to assume cheesy romance covers means like people kissing on the cover or something. I don't mind them but when it's real people- no. just no. 18. I feel like wattpad stories are disorganized and a little all over the place, so yeah, I agree. 19. Ugly love was all that
I gotta say… I started red white and royal blue last week… I got 21% of the book done, and I just can’t get into it. I’ve read 2 other books before picking this one up again 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ it’s definitely a slower read for me and not capturing my interest.
NOT THE INHERITANCE GAME! Bruh. I loved the series!!! This Series is definitely worth the hype. But people don't talk about it that much. ( 🫶 you for saying you don't relate with the comment)
Does anyone know books that are similar to the love hypothesis? I just finished it and I loved it. (I liked the stem setting, the fake dating and the grumpy- sunshine)
This is a very very very unpopular book opinion but l just hate romance books!! I love historical fiction and fantasy books currently I’m reading red queen!! And yup the person that said romance is overrated l agree lol

@@ivnxriaeditsxx5580 haha yess 💕 what's your favorite book/series? And same, i have one friend who's a reader but she only reads romance so i don't really have anyone to talk to about the books i read lol 😭
If you don’t like friends to lovers I can understand why you didn’t like people we meet on vacation. Personally it got me back into reading but I think the tropes in beach read you would like more
Funny, so sometimes I crack the spines, but I only do it, if its the type of book that would be so satisfying. I really only did it to my Mortal Instruments books, though I do kinda like the old, used book ascetic.
I am scared to read ugly love, because Im only 12 yrs Old and it should be really spicy, but i did read a book before with pretty described seggs scenes and i LOVED that book. Ugly love is in the end of my tbr so i wont read it right now.
the Unhoneymooners is average.. i did like the first half of the book but then i thought the characters didn’t connect that much ALSO there was no transition between ennemies to lovers.. it’s not a bad book just a overhyped

I have not yet!! But I’m hoping to soon 🥰
I read beach read… was so disappointed gave it 2* started reading people we meet on vacation and dnf’d it after 100 I couldn’t Emily Henry ain’t for me lmao the thing that did it in PWMOV was the love interest hating on people coving songs but does karaoke like plsssss
Hahaha I love this! But yeah, I feel the same way about her writing 😪
i get through ebooks by listening to the audiobook too. i've read 3 colleen hoover books that way.
AHHH I SEE MY UNPOPULAR OPINION ON THE VIDEOOO😍😍
Yes!! 🤩🥰
Some of my unpopular bookish options
- Im not a fan of Colleen Hoover, especially ugly love. I couldn’t get past certain aspects of the book lol 😂 sorry girl
- I prefer Ya books over adult books, especially romance. Some spicy scenes are too cringe
- I Hate the bully romance trope and the unexpected pregnancy trope
Love this!!
Same I read three books from COHO and they are toxic, not my cup of tea 🙂
@@poorva.s exactly they are so toxic, couldn’t get past it 🙄
Sharing my opinions!:
And especially when they're shirtless like nO
6. I've never read the book :D
7. I have never annotated my books but I really want to. I think it's fun and decorative- However, I would never write in my book. That is book MURDER. Only on the annotation tabs. :D
8. I honestly love both. I have a few books that have nice hardcovers so yeah- But I also love paperbacks
9. The Inheritance Games. I feel so guilty for saying this but I have never read it! (EDIT: I READ IT!! I LOVE THIS BOOK)
Long chapters can get annoying but when a chapter is one page- However, I would say shorter chapters because I recently read a book that had the shortest chapters but they meant so muchhh-
19. Ugly love was all that
Wow. I absolutely LOVE THIS. Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed & thoughtful comment 🥹💖✨🫶🏻
@@alexaraye you're welcome! ❤
I gotta say… I started red white and royal blue last week… I got 21% of the book done, and I just can’t get into it. I’ve read 2 other books before picking this one up again 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ it’s definitely a slower read for me and not capturing my interest.
I hear that it’s a slower read!!
I honestly didn’t like ugly love and love hypothesis either tbh :/ they were okay but my faves 😭
It’s okay ❤️🩹
my friend hated beach read but she decided to give book lovers a try and she ended up loving it!! you should definitely try Emily Henry again
NOT THE INHERITANCE GAME! Bruh. I loved the series!!!
This Series is definitely worth the hype. But people don't talk about it that much. ( 🫶 you for saying you don't relate with the comment)
I get it how people didn't like 'People we meet on Vacation' but damn istg 'Beach Read' was a good read TT
I’ll have to try it!! So many people say they love that one!
People We Meet was not as good as Beach Read in my opinion. I do hope you try Beach Read. ⛱️ 😉 😊
I still plan too 🥰✨
Does anyone know books that are similar to the love hypothesis? I just finished it and I loved it. (I liked the stem setting, the fake dating and the grumpy- sunshine)
SAME
I also liked The Love Hypothesis but I loved Love On the brain by Ali Hazelwood more.
You should give it a try. I think you'll like it.
This is a very very very unpopular book opinion but l just hate romance books!! I love historical fiction and fantasy books currently I’m reading red queen!! And yup the person that said romance is overrated l agree lol
I love that for you though!! 🥹
@@alexaraye omg l thought someone would hate on me but you replied back l did not expect that and also thank youu!! You are such an amazing UA-camr l love your videos!! 💕
I totally agree with you 😭 i thought i was the only one. i'm not into romance books, i mostly read fantasy and historical fiction (red queen is on my tbr as well 😃)
@@martina-dd6vb oh wow l don’t know anyone else that likes historical fiction books rather than my sister lol but l finally now know a person that doesn’t like romance and likes historical fiction!! Twins 💕
@@ivnxriaeditsxx5580 haha yess 💕 what's your favorite book/series? And same, i have one friend who's a reader but she only reads romance so i don't really have anyone to talk to about the books i read lol 😭
i did enjoy ugly love but the plot twist wasnt really a plot twist kinda just like a tragic event and it was predictable so sorry but i agree :')
😪
Alexa is really out here getting her feelings hurt for our entertainment 😭😭💕
😂😭❤️🩹 always worth it 💖🥰
If you don’t like friends to lovers I can understand why you didn’t like people we meet on vacation. Personally it got me back into reading but I think the tropes in beach read you would like more
I’m no going to lie but the love hypothesis is kinda boring but idk if it’s because I’m on a reading slump or I’m just tired 🧍🏻♀️
❤️🩹
I love rewatching your videos💜

Funny, so sometimes I crack the spines, but I only do it, if its the type of book that would be so satisfying. I really only did it to my Mortal Instruments books, though I do kinda like the old, used book ascetic.
Almost 20K wow
I know 😭🤍
team manuscript for Verity, also I highly recommend Mindf*ck series but please check TW
Thank you!!! 🥹💖🥰
I am scared to read ugly love, because Im only 12 yrs Old and it should be really spicy, but i did read a book before with pretty described seggs scenes and i LOVED that book. Ugly love is in the end of my tbr so i wont read it right now.
I loved ugly love, one of my favorite coho. And I also didn’t like how he cheated on verity
yesss! same!
New subbie here and honestly… I LOVE your content. Genuine, refreshing and funny (those zooms get me every. time. 😂) - Never change 💖
thank you so much 🥺 i'm so glad you're here!! 💖
I liked Emily Henry!! I think you should try to read a few pages of beach read and see what u think
I’m currently reading Ugly Love. What on earth was CoHo doing with the writing style in Miles’ chapters????
the spanish love deception is definitely overrated, DNFed it at 85%
That’s almost every comment right now! 😂😪
the Unhoneymooners is average.. i did like the first half of the book but then i thought the characters didn’t connect that much ALSO there was no transition between ennemies to lovers.. it’s not a bad book just a overhyped
😳
november 9 is my favorite CoHo book
such a GOOD one
Ugh I love you so freaking much
🥹🥹😭💕💖🫶🏻
I have the same fav book tropes! They make it more spicy!
omg yesss! 😂
Didn’t like the the love hypothesis at first but I ended up giving it a 4.5/5
i have Ugly Love on my bookshelf but i don't know...i see many people who say that this book isn't good...
ANYTHING from coho
Oh this was fun. Do it again?
Also, not me binge watching all of your old videos, don’t mind me 😂

normal people was so bad i didn’t even finish it, which never happens with me

the spanish love deception was my most disappointing read of the year. i almost dnf’ed it🫣
Aww!! 😪
@@alexaraye i guess if you like VERY slow burn rom coms you’ll like it, but those books just aren’t for me
