@dan.dobson next time you use the channel tunnel pick your vehicle as being over the 1.85m height, this then puts you on the single deck which is wider.

@misha, when you drive the BMW DCT.. set it to a more agressive mode, it’ll be much more responsive! 🙏🏼
Very true, good catch.
Not the best on track tbh. I like the 2nd option. The more aggressive mode causes some unwanted stability problems.
The gas pedal is smoother in lower levels but you still have all the power. The torque issue is a big one with the F series. The lower modes make the torque easier to manage.
@@FreshlySnipes i’m talking about the gearbox. You have 3 settings for the agresiveness in the up/downshifts in a BMW DCT.
@@GreatMotors stability problems are solved with xHP. Its a known issue on the F80 DCT that the cars wiggle/kick on full tilt BUT there are two settings in xHP that totally prevent that. You increase the torque of the clutches etc. Ive got mine perfectly set up with xHP and there is absolutely no kick or wiggle even on highest setting on full acceleration, really recommend it.

It's quite curious the way you pass everyone in traffic jam at the end. Is there some particular reason I don't understand or know about?
Cooling off the brakes and the coolant, you can boil the fluids if you rage the whole track then sit still idling in traffic. For safety reasons.
I see people saying about the DCT mode wtf is with companies that have individual settings for all this? If you put on a track mode it should put traction off, dct on agressive, etc all as one mode instead of having to fiddle with all that nonsense. This car sounds good.
well with the dct tuning stock, and with it set to the most aggressive shift mode, you get a pretty harsh torque punch when shifting under load. it does shift a slight bit sharper and faster, but that torque punch can really throw off the stability. Especially cornering or on uneven pavement. Unless the torque punch is tuned out, many owners use the 2nd or 1st setting, not the 3rd. it still gives you all the power, and it shifts so smooth you barely notice, even under load.

The car does have 2 drive mode profiles which you can customise. And both are accessible by buttons on the steering wheel (M1 and M2).
People who say the car should've been in Sport plus - maybe he didn't want to push the car to its limits. He doesn't know how well it will grip with all the power it's making. 600 HP is a lot of power for the F8x and they can get twitchy.
