Old Tyson 4 years ago who fought Roy Jones when he still some legs and decent footwork beats Jake Paul. Would have got the deep good story 4 years ago. Glad Mike got in shape and heard the adoring crowd one last time.
I suspect Tyson will lose a lot of the love and support he has attracted over the years. That circus was an insult to the sport and it took the fans for mugs.
You clearly have no idea about Tyson’s career… you should go and watch Hatmans analysis on the subject. In short - Tyson’s career has always been a circus, always been a car crash. Other than the very early years, people have watched and followed Tyson with an element of morbid curiosity - what mental thing is he going to do next(?) This exhibition fight is utterly in character, completely in line with his antics throughout his whole career. It’s nothing new
For me,I remember my dad waking me up in the early hours of the morning, sitting on his knee to watch this Boxing Legend destroy all in his path. Now,I have had the pleasure to watch my hero enter the ring one more time and make a lot of money. OK it was more an exhibition and Jake pulled punches and carried him which I respect because in honesty, Jake could have finished and hurt mike but didn't then bowd to the legend. I hope he never enters the ring again and I'm also glad I never bet on it
Tyson must have just been focusing on the money and it's such a shame to see him that way. Wish he'd not taken the fight and preserved his dignity. The man is an icon
It is sad to see, but so was the end of his career in 2005 when he quit after 6rounds with Kevin McBride. He was obviously a legend at his peak and should be remembered that way, but people seem to forget that he was already a spent force at the age of 38. I think Jake Paul realised very early on that Mike had nothing left, but carried him through the rest of the fight to make it look competitive. The main thing is that Mike came through it undamaged, and from his point of view, £20m richer. From that perspective, regardless of what we may think of it, it was a successful night for him. And regarding his condition, yes his fighting days may be well behind him but I think most 58 year olds would dream of having that kind of muscle tone and fitness, even if it’s not at the level for professional boxing. Good luck to him. I don’t want to see anything like this again, it’s time for Jake Paul to step up and face real opposition if he’s serious. But if it was an ex fighter who is more recently retired and still in good shape, like Froch at catchweight, or Bellew, I’d still be interested. I still do want to see a genuine decent fighter come out of more recent retirement and knock his block off, but I don’t think he would take a fight like that.
Jake Paul made this fight look like utter garbage. If you're fighting a 58 year old legend, then you owe it to him and the fans to fight in a way that suits him. Instead he just kept Tyson at arms length because he knew at 58, his legs didn't work properly.
Just felt like a completely soulless, superficial, fake and sad experience to watch quite frankly. Not sure who the winner was meant to be for either party. I get the money made probably justifies the whole thing but in the spirit of boxing it was a HUGE let down.
@@MassiveCatLittleLegs Well the Klitschko brothers, David Haye, Lennox Lewis, Audley Harrison, Frank Bruno, Shannon Briggs can all beat Jake Paul (and they're all old boxers like Mike) so it's weird that Mike Tyson can't.
@@ArranVidyou clearly have no knowledge of boxing. The fact you wrote Audley Harrisons name amongst all they names shows that 😂 54 year old Mike from the Roy Jones Jr fight would have beat Jake Paul. It was his health problems that defeated him this time.
@@ArranVid It's not weird at all. For a start, none of the fighters you mentioned have fought Jake Paul, so you can't call that for sure. I would say that any 'old' top drawer fighter with reach (i.e. Lewis and the Klitschko's) possibly would have won, but you're missing the point about the specific strengths of peak Tyson: One of Tyson's strengths at his peak was his athleticism; particularly his quick feet, and the bobbing and weaving. Now, watch the Tyson that lost to Danny Williams and Kevin McBride (!) at the end of his career. He was already slowing down, and that was twenty years ago (although even then he almost certainly would have beaten Jake Paul). Tyson's hand speed is still very good, as evidenced by the videos of him on the pads. But pads don't move around the ring, or hit back. Tyson is a 58 year old man; his movement is gone. All Paul had to do was move his feet and pick his shots, which he did. People get old, their bodies deteriorate.
Mike Tyson is not a zoo animal to be exibeted in a ring like a tiger in a cage. Unfortunately for Mike he has always had bad management since cus de mato died. The whole thing was a circus a sham and more importantly a shame. It is tragic when a boxing icon has to go into a fight with an idiot like jake Paul and say thank you for the privilege. I´d said it...A man smoking so heavily, drinking, and aging would beat a younger middle weight youtuber. I don't care how much muscle memory he has. He's had more experiencing binging than he's had training when younger. Period, never a true athlete and was finished way before he retired. I'd be surpised had been able to pull off an 8 round shadow session by himself

Why did Mike look lost in a boxing ring?? Because he’s clearly not used to a script, simple.
