Great Film and showcase of the shire. We passed the guys at the bottom of heartbreak the day they were filming and it was as hot as Ben said it was, trail was in mint condition.

There are great amateur-built trails everywhere, and yet Nevis Range chunder out the sort of crap that is Blue Doon. One day we'll get a bike park. One day.

I’m about to go to fort William to test out the new blue doon and honestly from some videos. It looks disappointing
@@mtb_matt9436 It's really not good at all. The very bottom section which was already done a couple of years ago is good, but the new track from the gondola down sucks. Flat corners, berms which stop half way, no features, terrible route choices. It just feels completely unfinished - which is hopefully the case. The problem is that they've built on top of the landscape instead of digging down and then surfacing, so they needed to build up all the corners, and they just haven't.

Absolutely loved Heartbreak Ridge when I rode it. Doesn't look much on video though to be honest, which means some of the gnarlier stuff you see on videos must be absolutely mental/incredible!

Kirkhill, Countesswells and Hazlehead is about the best you can do with no car/van.

lifetime bearing replacement is a big draw for our muddy trails
Stiff/Jungle got there very early and with the original Tazmon then Heckler built up a massive reputation. The single-pivot was just the ticket in our muddy winters. They were everywhere in the late 90s early 00s.
Then Peaty took it to another level.
