Jim Meskimen Hey thanks for the kind reply, Jim. So I stand corrected on my initial impression, but then you are better at 'em than me. You were great and so many subtle lines. Though there are several good points about playing an empty room: the air is cleaner, the bar is free and there are multiple escape routes.
I actually agree with you Jim, at least for me, doing an impression changes my mood to whoever I am doing. It's actually a tool I've developed for dealing with different things. Even if you are just joking I think there is some truth to it!
I have been searching UA-cam because I have always loved hearing impressions and I dare say that you are the first that I have been able to truly get into and continue to watch multiple videos and for that I say thank you good sir
You're on autoplay now! The frequent flyer Gold Card 😂 No, I'm not a stalker 😂 I love the impressions. I keep coming back for the jokes ❤️ A great way to spend a rainy day at home. Thanks Jim! Applause sent 😂
Wow Jim great job and tough that isn't easy I wouldn't think. The hours of dedication to doing it would be amazing. Very impressive cheers and best of luck.
"Dont do drugs, Do Impressions". Dear Mr Meskimen, if ever you launch a range of merchandise, please put me down as the first guy to buy a T-Shirt with that on it. This is so good... I might even make this my first tattoo! 😂
My Pleasure Mr Deskmen (what this macbook prefers you to be called)? but SERIOUSLY, please do me the honour of putting me down for number 00001 I will wear it with pride! and if someone challenges me to an impression street-duel, I will hit them with my bad Obama, or my terrible Kevin Malkovich (no typo... thats what it sounds like). Best of luck to you sir, I am a medium by the way... No not that kind of medium Mr Williams, but my size is medium. 😂
Jim, since you were "discovered" on Judy Norton's channel LOL 🤩 I am completely enjoying your videos! you have so much content and it is a JOY to watch. Cheers us up. and we are so thankful. thanks for the tips on medication-free remedies from Jack Nicholson's anti-anxiety 😄😄and more.
Fair enough. You were there and I wasn't. You are the pro and I merely just an observer. Thanks for putting me straight lol. Love your stuff by the way.
your most inventive and brilliant moments i have seen so far - to combine the impressions with personality traits that serve as an antidote to common ailments. so smart and funny! thanks...
Hey Jim, Great video as always! its one thing to be able to do the voice of a famous person, but you also have the diction and facial expression of all the people you do an impression of. The only thing I think you should do to the 3 New Years Eve videos is put an annotation at the end to link to it to the next video. Keep it up! Jmurphify
Lots of fun to watch. I was almost expecting a Steve Martin to come out at some point. Perhaps start with the type of humor he used in "Cheaper by the Dozen 2"; especially "I'm not the competitive one, he is!" Then morph it to his Inspector Clouseau from "The Pink Panther" movies.
+Allen Pilgrim Yes, Steve Martin and I get mistaken for each other a lot. Well, maybe not a LOT. And maybe he doesn't get mistaken for me. But other than that, it's pretty common.
The audience was kind of spread out, and not particularly mic'd, so you don't hear the response... it was much better than it sounds. Thanks for the kind words.
+Watchdog Goon Hard room, audience spread like a big U around a dance floor, it's like entertaining several different groups at once. AND they weren't mic'd. thanks for noticing.
I really love your impressions, and I must say, Woody Allen, Ricky Gervais, Robin Williams, George W. Bush and Jack Nicholson are really your strongest, but the rest are still better than most anyone could do. Most comedian have a couple of solid impressions, you have many, which makes you an incredibly unique and EXCELLENT performer.
Most spot on voices ever wish I could see it live but live in S.A. I love tying accents... only way I can get Arnie going is using words "you need to get outta heeya" or "can't you see what eye-uhm tying to tell ya" with hold back down in your throat. may I ask...do you also have a favorite hook for some voices to get you started? Like Nelson Mandela I actually use just a sound.... Uh (like in uhm) and then I'm good. ps... I just do impressions around friends etc people dont realise it can be like singing or telling jokes, or showing a magic trick for fun. so they never try it. its fun.
You are terrific, not only at getting the voices, but also the mannerisms and facial expressions!! I've enjoyed finding you! I was so surprised at the audience, though. Were they asleep or something? Why didn't they applaud more, for Pete's sake??
They were a lot more audible in person... you have to mic the audience to make it sound accurate, and we didn't do that. It's not an easy room at the Beverly Wilshire, the audience is in a big U out in front of you, but they were having a fun time. thanks for watching and commenting!
Apparently the audience was very busy doing an impression of Telly Savalas, Jack Palance, or any number of stoic celebrities who have gone to their great reward,
big fan here jim, you are talented guy ,I did think your Matthew macounathy (spelt wrong I know ) sounded more like george bush but other than that top notch ,was waiting for Robert de neiro . impressions is such a great and rare gift ,I cant do it at all , can it be taught ??
I think it can be taught, yes. It's just duplication, which can be drilled and practiced. It's just a kind of a niche skill, and not a lot of people actually make a living at it, so you won't find any college courses in it, or anything. Thanks for watching!
Jim Meskimen makes a far greater impression than this audience, who collectively hardly make any impression at all.
Colonel Neville Tough room to mic. They were laughing, but in a big U shape, which makes them sound like an empty room.
Colonel Neville Ha! True! Thanks again! Hope you enjoy my new TV series, IMPRESS ME on Pop TV in the U.S.A. www.poptv.com
Colonel Neville impressive, Colonel
I think this is my favorite set of yours Jim. Makes me laugh and smile every time.
How nice! Thanks!
FYI, our former governor always said "Cal-ee-for-nee-uh." You have to be sure to pronounce that first i as "eee." Love your show.
"...the deficit of California" crowd goes dead silent. Classic.
I actually agree with you Jim, at least for me, doing an impression changes my mood to whoever I am doing. It's actually a tool I've developed for dealing with different things. Even if you are just joking I think there is some truth to it!
He looks a lot like Steve Martin.
Steve Martin meets Bryan Cranston
+woottastic More like Harvey Keitel
and Sting
that too
Funny, at some point in time, he looked just like Robin Williams
Your impressions are definitely good medicine, sir!
I have been searching UA-cam because I have always loved hearing impressions and I dare say that you are the first that I have been able to truly get into and continue to watch multiple videos and for that I say thank you good sir
Very, very kind of you. Thanks a lot for the encouraging words. I hope you will find many to enjoy in the future!
good impressions! but where are you performing ,at a mortician convention? audience is dull!
Dell Scotten they're on drugs?
audience doing drugs
Your impressions are really good. Also, congratulations on doing such a healthy kind of humor. Keep going! Greetings from Bolivia!
Muchas gracias! I'm glad you like it, your majesty.
I'm glad you recognized my self-imposed monarchy lol
You're on autoplay now! The frequent flyer Gold Card 😂 No, I'm not a stalker 😂 I love the impressions. I keep coming back for the jokes ❤️ A great way to spend a rainy day at home. Thanks Jim! Applause sent 😂
Different generation of people. I grew up with impressionists, and they were the best.
The guy you did for the sleeping pills could probably be morphed into Jim Gaffigan
+Jason Zakrajsek That Garrison Keillor? Yes, I daresay you're right. I know Jim G.
jim...
you are a hero of mine!
Hahaha... was definitely not expecting Robert Siegel. Superb!
That little head shake with the Clooney was perfect!
Ha! Thanks for noticing!
I loved your Woody Allen - so did your audience by the looks of it :)
You're so great Jim.
I think the audience were on drugs, Jim...specifically, tranquilisers. The material was a tad better than the reaction it got.
It's the way the room was mic'd... or rather, not mic'd. So no reactions were audible, unfortunately. Thanks for watching!
Jim, you are good. I'm impressed.
Your awesome, you should do an episode where you prank call people with your impressions. That would be hilarious!
Joshua Barber Good idea. ;-)
Great stuff! I've done stand up and impressions at my high school.
+MEGA Movie Man Mark Cool! That's how I started.
Wow, amazing; much love from England
To you, too! Thanks for watching!
@jmurphify thanks very much, and I will try and see if I can do that link you recommend. That's a new idea for me... Appreciated!
Wow Jim great job and tough that isn't easy I wouldn't think. The hours of dedication to doing it would be amazing. Very impressive cheers and best of luck.
Thank you very much, Michael.
Quite good. Concept, presentation, impressions all quality.
Came across you by sheer accident...probably one of a handful of accidents I'm happy to have been in - love the Jack, Woody and Morgan
+Ilya Lips thanks very much! I appreciate it!
"Dont do drugs, Do Impressions". Dear Mr Meskimen, if ever you launch a range of merchandise, please put me down as the first guy to buy a T-Shirt with that on it. This is so good... I might even make this my first tattoo! 😂
What an honor! And a great idea for a shirt! Merch! Thanks very much!
Robin Deskman, that's me...
Okay, thanks for the idea.
Thanks, Emily, for all your kind comments! I hope you will enjoy all my JIMPRESSIONS videos, and even better, see me live sometime!
well done, your performance was spot on and the dialogue was very fluid.
+11Rex So pleased you liked it.
You are da bomb diggity, Jim! I'm going to have to come see you next time I'm in Los Angeles! Unless you're on tour and I'm not aware of it....
Fantastic ‼️
📻🙂
awesomeness. very well done.....DOWN WITH BIG PHARMA!!
Fair enough. You were there and I wasn't. You are the pro and I merely just an observer. Thanks for putting me straight lol. Love your stuff by the way.
Thanks, your lordship!
This is why I love ya.
That was great!!
I love how he got zero applause for "not doing drugs". The world we live in today...
Sigh. Well, the audience wasn't mic'd, so there was some positive reaction, if memory serves...
Your ability to look like who you're impersonating is awesome.
+Austin Brant Thanks, Austin!
It's all about the end of the set. Good job!
your most inventive and brilliant moments i have seen so far - to combine the impressions with personality traits that serve as an antidote to common ailments. so smart and funny! thanks...
Great Job!

The Woody Allen bit on parking structures was brilliant.
Thanks!
Very awesome stuff!
What a performer . AMAZING
He's very very amazing.
Very nice of you to say, Driven Home!
Nice work Jim! I really enjoyed hearing impressions of some of the less than mainstream voices! Fun stuff! It is quite the repertoire!
+James F. Byrnes Thanks a lot! I'm always trying to expand. I appreciate your comment!
This is a master at work 👍🏿
Very kind of you, man.
Jim Meskimen it's the truth you taught me everything i know cause i believe in the way you like to do impressions and now it's working out fine for me
Lots of fun to watch.
This man is a god .
Very kind of you, Ryan. You're a god, too.
Your work is fantastic. What's more impressive is that you would respond on UA-cam comments section. These comment areas are so vile and unkind.
Well, some are nice. Like yours! Thanks for watching!
Pretty good material.
The audience was kind of spread out, and not particularly mic'd, so you don't hear the response... it was much better than it sounds. Thanks for the kind words.
Your Morgan Freeman is amazing!
You are great!
grazie mille! Did I say that right?
Wow this guy is really good! He doesn't even caricature the voices!
great stuff i had a big laugh. i watched a few of your youtube clips very funny i love cris walker and robin williams they all good great job
+Bob Smith Thanks, man.
thanks for getting back to me your a real gentlemen. many happy success to you
Did they just not mic the audience? I can't hear much of a reaction here, but I thought you did quite well.
+Watchdog Goon Hard room, audience spread like a big U around a dance floor, it's like entertaining several different groups at once. AND they weren't mic'd. thanks for noticing.
Keep fighting the good fight, Jim!
Really good....the Ricky gervais was a bit shit though.
What a lame crowd. Love the new show Jim.
John Doe Glad you are watching IMPRESS ME! Hope you enjoy them all!
Wow! Ricky Gervais one is spot on! All of them impressive btw!
Best impressions I've heard for sure well done =D
Great!
Another amazing impression!
- Much love from the Pollack’s
Most spot on voices ever wish I could see it live but live in S.A. +Stanman121 I'm glad you have fun with it, so do I! Thanks for watching!
Never heard anyone do Garrison Keillor. Excellent.
+Bob Leroe Yes, not a common one… yet, anyway. Thanks for commenting!
I love the comment on Nicholson's "overwhelming confident antagonism."
pretty spot on Robin
you are awesome man ,the audience not so much
You are terrific, not only at getting the voices, but also the mannerisms and facial expressions!! I've enjoyed finding you! I was so surprised at the audience, though. Were they asleep or something? Why didn't they applaud more, for Pete's sake??

That Garrison Keillor was perfect
+Anarcho Sharko Thanks!
This one I understand!
I can do one of the late Sir Alec Guinness as Obi Wan "Ben" Kenobi. Not sure I should do that when traveling, though. ;)
Awesome, Jim! And I love the philosophy. You may get an email from me for advice on who to do an impression of for some of my odd conditions!! :)
All those impressions were spot on. Great job! Keep it up! One day you should do Seth Rogen.
Great work, Jim!
When will you be headlining in Vegas?
+Scott McG Many years, I'm afraid… it's not really one of my goals. But I appreciate you watching!
Good robin william just good show all around :)
Your Morgan Freeman is great! When you did it, it had me thinking, if you tweaked it just a little you'd be doing Paul Harvey :-)
TJgrebdnul I do Paul Harvey too, and tweaking is how I do it!
> this video is hilarious,, you did the impressions on point..
perfect Jack
first time I've ever seen you and I'm a fan! are you doing any shows in Washington DC or Maryland or northern VA anytime soon
Not anytime soon, but thanks for watching! I appreciate the kind words.
Great! :)
reminds me of Steve martin
So funny!
his bobby D is freaking spot the fuck on
I need to take his advice
@newcomedienne I welcome it!
@KiddsockTV Um... being starstruck?
Thanks for the reply Jim , just wondering do you do Johnny Carson ?
Apparently the audience was very busy doing an impression of Telly Savalas, Jack Palance, or any number of stoic celebrities who have gone to their great reward,
Or, they just weren't mic'd.
Jim Meskimen that explains it
I have a certain impression request Jim. Here's a challenge: Bill Murray. Can you do it!?
big fan here jim, you are talented guy ,I did think your Matthew macounathy (spelt wrong I know ) sounded more like george bush but other than that top notch ,was waiting for Robert de neiro .
impressions is such a great and rare gift ,I cant do it at all , can it be taught ??

The last one sounded like Sir Patrick Stewart
he looks like robin williams, tom hanks and that actor who plays Saul Goodman in breaking bad/Better call saul
Great!! Why haven't I heard of him before??
I'm boycotting fame. I hear it's harmful to one's health.
Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video - keep it up!
I shall! Please watch some of my more recent work and tell me what you think.
Absolutely Jimmy!
Happy!
He's a likeable guy.
Most of the time... thanks for watching!
He does a good visual impression of Steve Martin!
You clean up real good.
Thanks! Amazing what a few small articles can do...
ye it is
