  • 2014 Honda Civic (9th generation) has a battery/parasitic drain problem. Two batteries were replaced, the alternator, as well as the relays in the fuse box under the hood. Using different methods to determine what is draining this battery we get to the culprit. Below is a list of the tools recommended for parasitic drain issues. Use the links to purchase and help support this channel. Gracias!

The analytical process you used to track this down is truly impressive. I had the same Fuse 29 draw on my 2017 Acura ILX. Mine turned out to be a bad HFL Bluetooth Module but watching your video helped me systematically eliminate everything else. Thank you. Completely agree with so many others; much respect.

Your opinion.....went over railroad tracks, not going fast at all, but the usual bumpiness....Then got the 'CHECK ELECTRICAL SYSTEM' in my 2011 Honda Pilot Touring.....I was able to drive is for over 20 miles to get home, but there was shuddering at times.....Anyway, tried to restart it a bit later and wouldn't work.....I switched batteries to see if it was that, no difference(so couldn't start it without jump starting it)...Jump started it and if you keep the battery charger hooked up to the battery it stays at around 14.....Once you remove those clamps, it goes down really fast....from 14 volts to about 5 volts in less than 2 to 3 minutes, which I shut the car off(one time it shut off by itself doing this jumping stuff).......After all that, IYO, would a BUMP from the railroad tracks cause an ALTERNATOR to quit, or is it more likely that a GROUND decided to loosen? or anything else thanks...

Hector,i wish i knew someone with your expertise. I live in n. Ireland and my poor car actuators are on the fritz. One door is locked inside and outside. But no one wants to touch it. 😢 an electronics expert who has the volkswagon dealer software, says all that registers is not enough power supply for the actuator of the stuck door. The near side front door ,which is the front passenger and on the left side of the car, which is the other side to the stuck lock,is not locking. It makes no noise at all. I have a new actuator for the stuck door. Looks like i need a new front near side actuator too. This is a great condition 2006 seat ibiza sport 1.4 petrol. It has served me well in the six years i have driven it. Actuators seem to be the achilles heel of volkswagen, seat, audi, and skoda, same maker, same parts. Loved your video. Many thanks
