    Hello there! As an experienced English language professor who comes from Serbia, I must admit that your English is excellent! And when it comes to Italian, as a beginner, I must say this is a perfect way to learn it! Giving examples is what students need, and that's exactly what you do here. Grazie mille! Saluti cara Lucrezia!

      Ákos Szűcs Ákos Szűcs Ákos Szűcs Ciao anche a te,
      Generally there are three groups of Italian verbs with three different endings: -ARE, -ERE, and -IRE. They're all conjugated in quite different ways, per esempio:
      (io) parlO / leggO / partO
      (tu) parlI / leggI / partI
      (lui/lei) parlA / leggE / partE
      (noi) parlIAMO / leggIAMO / partIAMO
      (voi) parlATE / leggETE / partITE
      (loro) parlANO / leggONO / partONO
      As you can see, there's some rhyme and reason. Three verbs, three different endings. "Si" is a reflexive pronoun - just cut the last "e" in a verb and add "si" to the end, for example: lavare -> lavar -> lavarsi. It can make a verb have different meaning. "Vedere" means "to see", while "vedersi" means "to see each other" ("to meet each other"), for example:
      Ho veduto tua sorella (I saw your sister)
      Ci vediamo tra due settimane! (We see (= we meet) each other in two weeks!)
      Note: in case you need to use reflexive verb, just use a reflexive pronoun (which are: mi, ti, si, ci, vi, si, respectively) + conjugated verb. Hope this helps and enjoy your Italian journey!

    As an English speaker, I like to think of "mi piace" as "something is pleasing to me." Thinking of them in that way made learning such verbs in Spanish quite easy.

      Yes guys.. she is terrific and fluent in both languages. But if you want to learn Italian, then why don't you apply for yourselves the same method as the rest of the people who want to learn english??? I mean, learn Italian with the teacher speaking and explaining everything in Italian since the first minute to the very last one. (No offense, but according to you people, that recreates and gives you the real need to communicate in your second goal tongue)

    • @BrianMcLawren
      @BrianMcLawren 4 роки тому +2

      @@etienneg.gioncardi5368 I don't necessarily agree with you. It's been proved that when learning a second language, especially as far as grammar learning is concerned, it is not advised to do it in the second language. How could a person possibly understand all of the nuances a language has to offer if you don't have a mutual vehicular language? I think a bilingual teacher is your best choice when starting to learn a new language.

    • @etienneg.gioncardi5368
      @etienneg.gioncardi5368 4 роки тому

      @@BrianMcLawren Brian, in many places of Latin people who want to learn english.. those "american" teachers seem to forget that in Latin America there are more languages than only english.. but still they think: "if you wanna learn english, do everything in english" so your last question makes even more sense: How do "american" teachers expect everyone to learn english if those teachers are not qualified to speak nothing more than english...?? And this is like Harmon Hall, Berlitz, Interlingua, Quick Learning, and all that kind of places with no bilingual teachers.

    WoW I like it very much when you explain in English, and your English is very good, excellent. I need to learn Italian because I like it the way it sounds especially in the movies. I m 52 and as a kid I use to go to cinema because those movies were only available at the movies, every film that appeared was available at the cinema. I used to go to watch Bud Spencer, and the way the Italian language sounded for me when I was 13 at the time, was very pleasant to my ear. So here I am I want to learn the Italian language, i live in Montreal, nice meeting you. I look forward into watching and learning as much as possible from your videos, thank you again. Great work !

    This video was so useful! I'm a beginner but I hate Absolute beginner level videos, people speak so slow in those and keep repeating every word's meaning in English - I mean, if I want to know the English translation I would check it myself, no need to make the video extra long. So yes, this was concise and helpful, I learned a few new words (like swimming and walking) and it was a really smart thing to remove the verbs essere and abbiamo - thank you for this video. :)
