You forgot the biggest Refueling tanker of them all. The Boeing 747 KC-25. 3 were built, 2 were delivered to Iran before the Iranian revolution and one still serves in the Iranian Air Force. The 3rd one was not delivered. I saw one of these parked in Seattle at the flight test center years and years ago. I do not know what eventually happened to the 3rd one. The number one 747 RA0001 was temporarily configured as a test version of a tanker to test out the design. There are photos of it refueling the an Iranian tanker.

I’ve personally flown in a KC-135 from the US State of Georgia to Incirlik, Turkey without stopping to refuel, so I’d say the the range is quite a lot more than 1500 miles.
Unlimited with being refueled itself. What they dont tell you is the actual max fuel load. There is another tank in the upper center wing. Its not used unless its extremely necessary. I never seen it used even during the gulf war. I just seen your channel. Did u crew them as well?
Sadly, 10s are retired. There are reasons, and they do make financial sense, but the replacement (KC-46) is a sorry replacement. I am biased - my father flew both the 135s and 10s, and was aircraft commander of the 10 at Barksdale, so I have affection for it.
Some refuelers can because they use their internal tanks for refueling. On some aircraft fuel is moved around between wing tanks and supplimental tanks to maintain trim (balance).
Your information is wrong about the KC-46. There is a difference in size and that helps the KC-30a to haul more freight and/or passengers and load more fuel to other planes. KC-46 amount of fuel it carries 96.000 kg KC-30a amount of fuel it carries 111.000 kg range of KC-46 11830 km* range of KC-30a 14800 km* *= this is the range on own fuel without refueling others. Both have the capability to be refueled by other tankers so technically they can fly non-stop around the world) The MRTT KC-30a(Airbus A330) is bigger then the KC-46a (Boeing 767) and although the KC-46a can be refueled its a bit silly to refuel a refueler just because you didn’t want to buy the bigger plane ;) Also as passenger transport, cargo or as medivacs the KC-30A has more capacity. KC-46a Passengers and cargo 114pax. 18 463 liter pallets or 58 patients (24 litters, 34 ambulatory) and 65.000Lb (29.500KG payload KC-30A (A330MRTT) Various passenger configurations possible. Max. 291 pax. 8 military pallets+ 1x LD6 container+1x LD3container payload: 99.000Lb, 44.000kg And the MRTT is already succesful in operational state without any problem with the camera system. Yea that probably my favorite sounding aircraft and I’m a biased American lol. The VC 10 just sounds beautiful; almost as beautiful as the spitfire or P51B/C. Clearly Rolls Royce makes the best sounding engines.
I am lucky. I live on the flight path of Macdill AFB. I get to see KC135 everyday over head. Usually between 1800 and 2800 feet according to flightradar24. Yes, they are shown on this ap. What was real cool was following the Super Bowl flyover. Seeing the bombers was awesome but the real fun was watching the KCs orchestrate fueling all of them over the gulf and along the way. Occasionally we get to see Chinooks with big ole probes sticking out the front and coast guard chopper refuellers too. Being just east and north of this AFB and being on slightly higher elevation makes for awesome spotting. One thing people don't realize about the 135s..... after the last engine upgrade....this 4 engine giant is as quiet as a mouse.

Well, there are a couple of things which don't make any sense. The picture next to the A310 show an A330, while the one next to the A330 shows another Airbus plane, I think the A300/A310. There are a few KC-10 which are used by the Netherlands Air Force, they were originally built as DC-10 airliners and they were converted to tanker/transport. I think it's a stupid thing for the US to retire these bad bois, they do a really great job, they are very thicc planes, they have an enormous capacity compared to the KC-135, less operating costs and they can be refueled by another plane.
The pic for A310 is definitely an A330 of the Royal Australian Air Force. The A330 pic also looks like one of ours as well (RAAF KC-30A) but the lettering is ass-backwards and the kangaroo looks like it's jumping off to the stern!
I think the USAF is leaning towards a single tanker which will probably be the KC-46 one the kinks are sorted out. With it being a newer airframe they could find some parts easier in the boneyard from retired 767's.

You don't have a clue. The KC46/767-2C has a new refueling system, boom operator uses a camera instead of sitting in the back, has it's own sensors for detecting missile launches, and a updated glass cockpit.
