As Springbok supporter and someone that has played provincial rugby for Western Province growing up, Rees-Zammit is a world class rugby player and he will dominate in the NFL, just give him a season or 2. As someone who had played rugby in NZ, Australia, UK, Tonga, and having played football in Canada - the tackles are harder and more painful in football. The padding does not make things softer, it makes it harder. I know it's counter intuitive, but it's true.

Phase 1 of pre season for all NFL teams. No contact, no pads. Things will get real and spicy and heated and confrontational when training camp starts. This was just the rookies 3 day training camp. Every full team training camp there will be fights and full on contact. Players livelihoods will be on the line. Training camp will go from 90 starters gradually getting cut day by day down to 53 active roster players. Many careers will come to an end at training camp just like that before the season even starts.
