These are very welcome enhancements to your already quite efficient software. If I may suggest, for upcoming releases, it would be a good addition to add trochoidal / adaptive clearing strategies. This would allow us to use an even broader range of materials like aluminum while still using the Vectric tools we love all day!

Is this the complete list of V11 improvements or are there other tweaks? Something that I struggle with daily in Vcarve is the way that guides work. They are very clunky and difficult to use quickly. Especially when you want to align a guide to a vector line that is an an angle - perhaps an unknown angle. If not done in this release, you also really need to sort out some better options for rotating objects around a pivot point, to specified amounts or snap to guide lines etc. Both of these functions work intuitively and accurately in sketchup, for example, but I burn a hell of a lot of drawing time grappling with this in Vcarve. Another useful function would be to automatically add radii to the corners of a an irregular vector shape, in the same way that you can add them to a rectangle. This would save me a lot of time too. Looking forward to using the sheets function. This will be a time saver and help me stay organised. Thanks!

Hi, what is the point of 2d cutting software Vcarve since there is the 3d Aspire, as long as the cnc frame has 3 axis why do people install 2d software why not 3d software and use for 2d projects also ?
Hello and thank you for leaving the comment. We offer a full range of products for different uses and cuustomers needs. Some customers only cut 2D projects (and use pre created 3D content) so there is not the need for the advanced 3D features of Aspire.
@@vectric If we cut a hole 2cm wide and 1 cm deep and then continue with 6mm wide and 8mm deep on an 18mm mdf board, is this a 2d or a 3d cut and can Vcarve pro make such a cut ?
Hello Triumf... from what I can understand from your description defenitly yes! If you want to be 100% sure I would encourage you to download a trial version of VCarve Pro from the link I'll include at the end of my response. The Trial version is a working version except you can't save out your tooling... but you can priview it in 3D to simulate what will happen when you run the tooling on your CNC. Hello... and thanks for the question. You can cut a 3D part either one from Design and Make or import in a single STL file. I suspect you mean from scratch, and if that is the case you will need Aspire.

Or, please make it possible to change the background color of the drawing to black color ....T-T
The default background color of AutoCAD is black, but the default background color of Vcarve Pro is white, which is very inconvenient when work by importing AutoCAD drawings.

This is professional software. It can make you hundreds of thousands of dollars per year. You want to...what? Pay royalties to them from everything you sell? No. If you don't need or can't afford the capable and efficient software, it may not be for you at this time.

I want to make sure I heard that right. "Undo" is not CTRL+Z like every other piece of software in the world, but rather backspace instead? Great decisions going on over at Vectric. You guys are really making me want to abandon vcarve and move to a different application.

Hey Chris! We're sorry to hear that you are thinking about leaving us. You can still use CTRL Z to undo your steps outside of the polyline and draw curve tool, however when drawing in the polyline tool we thought one key (BACKSPACE) would be easier to press whilst your are drawing with your mouse. @@vectric V carve pro is great but this explanation is just pure nonsense. Do you really use both hands to press Ctrl Z? How about ctrl x, ctrl y and ctrl v? That is done while drawing to copy and paste shapes.
Or am I totally missing something?
