Beau is Afraid Is a Mess - Explained

Beau Is Afraid is a 2023 American surrealist tragicomedy horror film written, directed, and produced by Ari Aster. The film stars Joaquin Phoenix as the title character, Beau Wassermann, a mild-mannered but paranoia-ridden man who embarks on a surreal odyssey to get home to his mother, confronting his greatest fears along the way. The film includes a supporting ensemble cast of Patti LuPone, Nathan Lane, Amy Ryan, Kylie Rogers, Parker Posey, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Hayley Squires, Michael Gandolfini, Zoe Lister-Jones, and Richard Kind.

Such a shame, but I get the comments about run time. I felt the same with The Irishman when I watched that. Sometimes I feel that some directors don't get told to reign things in and then it gets bloated and overly long just because it can. Unfortunate it happened with this movie, I totally didn't realise it was so long, so likely one to avoid sadly.

i haven’t watched this yet but i do think his two other major films are hugely overrated. yes im probably the only one who feels this way but 🤷🏻‍♀️😂 nice channel!
