  • In today's video we review the latest in power system technology- the Ecoflow Power Kit! Personally we are STOKED about the simplicity of the installation and believe this is truly the power systems of the future. In this video we go through each component and install the entire system together, putting it to the test.
    What are your thoughts on the Ecoflow?

    Been waiting for you to review this! Please put out an installation video if you happen to be building one out. Curious to see how, or your recommendation on hooking it up to a DC Air unit like a Dometic Rtx.

    Without doubt THE BEST vid on UA-cam explaining the POWERKIT👍🏻👍🏻

    This is a nice kit. Well integrated.
    Will be interested to see how durability and customer support stack up. That is where I’ve really come to appreciate my Victron system with 3000 watt inverter and 400 amp hours.
    That said, this system is nice for its connectivity and pricing is not that far off when I add up all my components, my time and the hassle of sourcing wiring, connectors, fuses and switches from multiple sources.
    It’s nice to see a manufacturer thinking these systems through to make them easier to install, operate and potentially safer as a result.

    Most definitely a game changer. This reminds me a lot of the redarc system. I’ll be anxious to see how the system gets built into the side of a van.

    How long is the battery cable? I would like to have two batteries installed on my sprinter van, one on each side. Is the cable long enough?

    Is there a way to regulate the Amp taken from DC source? Example the smart charge systems in the JLR Defender and the Dodge Ram don't use smart alternators they use what is esenchilly a supercharger instead. The Ram is rated for a draw of 50 amps so can you set ECO-Flow to only pull 30-50 amps ?

    How well does this integrate with the Ramble interior kit from Infinity Vans? I know a lot of thought has been put into wiring organization for the Infinity kit, however it seems like they are assuming usage of a Victron system.

    I've been wanting to see more about these systems for a while. I really like the looks of this one and the way that you describe it. I am interested in what I would consider big power. So 800 amp hours. I would be quite curious to see what your layout for such a system would look like.

    Excellent !! 🙂 System not for the average van builder pocket book cause most can't even afford a sprinter van ( even USED ) if u made a system maybe with with less wattage power bank to bring price down .. if u you only want to reach deep pocket consumers it's perfect ... But as a average consumer your product is a maybe someday but by then something newer might come along ... Great product and yes it would save u time on wiring ...

    • @ChuckPappas
      @ChuckPappas Рік тому

      I could be wrong but it’s my understanding that 1000watts is the limit for a vans alternator to send while running. So I assume that is why they limited to 1000.

    Can it run a 12v Air conditioner like the Dometic RTX 2000

    • @VanLand
      @VanLand  Рік тому +3

      Yes it has plenty of power, but the wire would need to be sized appropriately. I’m very interested to see if it can run a 120v AC powered air conditioner like the Dometic Penguin.

      In this video ua-cam.com/video/ahgpvUL5IA8/v-deo.html they use a 120v RecPro 9.5K along with the EcoFlow Power System.

    • @estebanguillen8110
      @estebanguillen8110 Рік тому +2

      It looks like the EcoFlow Power System has a max 12V output of 70A and the Dometic RTX 2000 requires an 80A fuse. So I don't think the EcoFlow Power System could support the Dometic RTX 2000, but it would probably work fine with a 24V air conditioner. This issue was pointed out to me by my van builder. I am no expert, just passing along info that I received.

  • @jasonbarrett-pg1jy
    @jasonbarrett-pg1jy Рік тому

    i believe 1 correction.. the 12v connector goes to the car battery, not the alternator, for 12v dc charging.

    • @VanLand
      @VanLand  Рік тому +1

      Basically the same circuit- the alternator is what does the charging. I would actually prefer to go direct to a 48v alternator and leave the starter battery alone.

      @@VanLand Does it look like there's any capability of a high amp secondary alternator for charging? That's the big downside for me so far. Willing to buy a 24v or 48v alternator, but I'd want 200A+ charging. Maybe through the 'smart generator' plug instead of the alternator plug? Even if it still required a DC-DC or Li-BIM.
