I did a 2500 mile round trip in my 2020 2.0 last year. Drove the entire trip by myself. It's great for long trips. The adaptive cruise control is like auto pilot. That engine really does have some nice power.
I just bought a 2022 car. Thanks for the info on it. I did not know about the foot trunk release and my car is wireless so you have to sync it but as soon as I get in. My Spotify comes up and plays. You forgot to mention a netting storage for letters, book and the front driver seat has lumbar adjustment 👍
Good review. Does this escape have a "sound screen" windshield, AKA acoustic glass. I saw a 2022 SEL hybrid with it yesterday at ford dealer, unfortunately the sales staff could not give any info on it. It states " sound screen" above to left of vin#.
Anyone know if Ford fixed their early-failure torque converters on the Escape? I have a '16 2.0 Turbo. Just had the transmission serviced at 55k, and the fluid was black. The word on the street is expect failure by 80k give or take. Otherwise, i really like the Escape, but would not buy another unless the issue has been resolved.
My wifes car is a 17 Escape Titanium 2.0 EcoBoost just getting ready to get a 22 or 23 soon, I’m waiting to see if the 23 has been changed much. We love it and haven’t had any problems… oil changes every 3,000 mi, front brake job,a set of tires and a couple transmission fluid changes is all I’ve had to do. I noticed the transmission fluid was getting dark about 40,000 so I changed it. I’m a retired auto mechanic and I have friends who own shops so they let me change fluids and screw around at their shops. The problem is those things run REALLY HOT under the hood and I think that’s part of the problem with the fluid getting dark because the fluid starts breaking down. So if you plan on keeping it awhile I would change the fluid between 25-35,000 miles to prevent the fluid from breaking down and getting dark. Also I heard the front differential/transfer case oil should be changed when you do the transmission fluid. The 17 models actually have a little scoop in the lower engine cover to direct cooler air to the diff and turbo to try helping them cool off. I used to rebuild transmissions before I retired and all the newer cars/trucks run so damn hot under the hood that the fluid temperatures get extremely hot and start breaking down. So like I said if you get a new car every 3 years or so you have nothing to worry about. If you run it every 5 or 6 years or 100,000 miles or more change the transmission and front differential every 30-40,000 miles. The transmission is easy to do, no transmission pan or filter to change you just have a drain plug, remove it and let it drain….add four qts of fluid and I strongly recommend a bottle of green LubeGuard additive and go drive it a couple miles and then there’s a filler plug on the side of the transmission behind the LF tire, when it’s hot and on level ground NOT RUNNING the fluid should be filled to the fill plug level. I can’t remember but the plug is either 8 or 10 mm Allen head size. This Escape is our second one and we love it and I wouldn’t hesitate to get another. Way more fun to drive than any other crossover that size and price range. Get the 2.0….I guess the smaller engine has head gasket problems, or get the extended warranty.
pretty good video but..... 1st for gods sake shave, If you can't grow a beard yet don't show the attempt , you already look young the attempt makes it worse. You want people to take you serious if you're gonna do this. When you review the Escape , don't talk about other cars.... Just review the Escape. ( you talk a lot). The back seats lie right down WITHOUT moving the drivers seat, just fold the head rest down 1st. I believe in the 22 the rear seats move forwards and backwards a bit too for more room in the back as well as recline like you showed. When /If you drive the vehicle on the review small things will distract your viewers from what you're saying like the illegal left turn into the 2nd land just down the street from where you were speeding past the cop car. Don't give specific prices as dealers might want to move up or down on them. It would be better to say something like " This specific model is just under 40K " . It was nice that you covered so much of the vehicle though including the functions of the options. Also one last note..... the number of speakers is not the biggest difference to the sound in the car. The size of the interior is a big thing, the amount of glass and the type of seating. Cloth seating will deaden some of the sound while leather (ish ) will liven it up.
If you don’t like what he talks about or how he phrases things, watch a different review. Also commenting on someone’s physical appearance? Sad. Your a grown adult, do something productive with your time.
I've had mine 5 days , not sure how I feel. Kinda missing my Escape Titanium 2014 , I keep comparing you know. You explained everything so well, thanks for doing that, I learned quite a bit. Now I can't wait to get in and mess with all the buttons knowing now what there for 😅😅😊
Great that you mentioned the seats because it's very important for me... And yes only Ford has the magic of comfortable seats thank you

Thank you! :)
I love Ford products!! I wanna get one bro.
38K ....no.....not enough features to cover such cost.
Thank you!Very helpful!
The back door goes mid way when you open it with your foot so it can’t hit the face.
Good review.

Yes, this one did have the sound screen windshield
@703Speed thank you for the reply. I ordered an sel and hoping one is included.
@@vetteguy6902 Congrats on your order!
The best review ever 👏 thks bro
There is a lockout preventing shifting into park while moving, but can you shift into neutral or reverse while moving ?
It is “idiot” proof. You can shift into neutral while moving, but not reverse
How come it has halogen projection beams but Toyota Corolla can get LED headlights? My Mazda 3 has LED projector headlights that swivel as well.
I think it should have LED’s as well. But keep in mind, this isn’t the top end model. But I agree
So good thank you vai
Thank you for watching!
Was it in sport mode for that 0-60?
Nice car nice video
Thank u!
“But yeah” just too much “but”. Sincerely I’m just trying to help. Your video is fine.
Have you reviewed the Escape Hybrid?
I have not
I've had the standard titanium 1.5 hybrid non plug in solar gray . Carnt wait . Wup
As soon as the escort is back m8t sticking with the escort
No Sunroof?
It’s more like high 20’s HWY MPG
Shop around there are better valued Hybrid SUV's on the market with more modern looks inside and out.
Can you name a few that could be better than ESCPAE plugin hybrid. ?
Thank your

I'm not sure, maybe another owner can comment on that
@@703Speed I drive an 18 with the 1.5 and the car has been bullet proof. Only just replaced the brake pads at 112 K km. I feed it gas and drive it.
color does not say your transmission bad or going bad, that fluid can get dirty. Just change fluid drain and fill every 50k and youll be fine

Has the same glove box space as my 2010 ford . Not fan of that . 38k too much for that . The digital gage cluster is nice
Digital cluster is definitely nice
Prices have changed since 2010.
@@RFJersey Quite a bit lol
Why didn’t you review a Stealth package then? Hearing about it once was enough. 🤪
703speed. The 2023 Maserati grecale starts at 64.000 To expensive
Sorry ford as long as you can make a car.van ute .under 35 k ill stay with you or second hand motors stil a ford just carnt go rung apart from evs.

Jeez Ken, he’s probably just starting out possibly. He seems to know a lot about the car.
