Many thanks indeed to Jayne for lending me this tape! If anyone reading this has any recordings of any Rod/Emu/Grotbags material, please drop an e-mail to my username (above, beginning Videot...) at gmail dot com. We're especially looking for the very first series of Emu's World featuring the kids from Pattison's rather than Corona, plus many episodes from the live era, particularly 1985. But, if you have anything at all, *please* get in touch! Recordings will be transferred professionally to DVD, and tapes will be returned, all at absolutely no cost to you.
Why is Rod pressing the doorbell to enter his own home? I remember watching this episode though, because of the singing bubble 'n' squeak. I used to beg my mother to make it for breakfast after this, and she always refused...shame.
The bubble 'n' squeak is something that's always stuck in my memory, too, for whatever reason. Good question about Rod pressing his own doorbell - but, then again, if I had one that sneezed, I'd probably be looking for any old excuse to press it. ;-)
Good question. From the 1984 live series onwards, the Pink Windmill Kids for each series were limited to ten and set in stone before they started. In the early years, though, I suspect that it may have been a case of whoever the Corona Stage School thought were good enough were given the opportunity.
I’m guessing it was in the Nottingham area, as Emu’s World began filming at Central’s East Midlands Television Centre that year (having moved from the previous studios in Elstree). Saying that I hazard a guess it might’ve been Woolaton Park. Don’t take that as gospel though.
Its fascinating to watch these and see how many kids were in this and then in CITV shows many years later.
4:40 joy to the word
Joe to the world

I love to see women dressed as witches - and Grotbags was one of the best.
How come some kids show up for small parts but never again even though they were regulars before?

No problem - the rest of this series will follow soon-ish. :-)
12:13 wasn't that a question on emu's spin? What instrument does James Galaway play?
Good spot - yes it was. Not the sort of question you get on kids' TV these days...
Her book is called “Your Horrorscope” xD
12:24 I like how Catrina holds on to Debbie 🥰

And I’m Joe to you!
does anyone know what the blond haired kid in the khaki sweatshirt and green leg warmers’ name is
Emma or Sarah
Its emma
You mean the boy? It's Mike
If you’re talking about the blond boy from just this series and emu’s world at Christmas, then you’re talking about Ian.
Does anyone know the location of the woods?
England I guess
@@mrmanusia I thought England, I meant do they have a name?
