If someone is wondering why her sword became that short in the end: A bullet hit the sword at 1:27, which results in a much shorter sword. And it smoothly penetrates the helmet of the soldier (even without a tip) thanks to Alice amazing T-Virus superpowers.

I figured no one else was armed in the room, only to see they were all armed. I would have killed that blonde guy the first second I got. I'm not going to give him a chance to do to me what he did to that guy. Why would anyone listen to a guy that clearly doesn't care if you live or die? Poor leadership leads to mutiny.

The Resident Evil movies always have some crazy plot twists RE1: you think its gonna be a group of umbrella soldiers fighting zombies but half get clapped by lasers before even seeing zombies Afterlife: Bunch of Alice clones vs Umbrella? Nope all get killed in the beginning Retribution Ending: Finally a large group of heavily armed survivors vs the undead, nope they all die in the beginning of the Final Chapter.
Re:1 was good for the reason of fear and surprise The soldiers got killed off immediately and were surprised because it was shut by Kaplan before she rebooted killing them all. Then the fear of not knowing what they are dealing with?

What I find most offensive about this series is how each single movie completely shit on the ending of it's prequel. For example, in Retribution the discovery and release of the clones at the end was presented as such a twist and massive cliffhanger that let you really wonder about how Alice is gonna take down Umbrella with their own creation now and then every single clone just got wasted in one fight at the beginning of this movie. Full reset back to one single Alice. And everytime they did this to the previous movie. Truly bloodboiling and very unsatisfying.
I disagree, I thought Retribution was considerably worse. At least in Afterlife the slow-mo action was bearable. He went even further in Retribution to the point where every action sequence was in slow-mo. And then for some reason he abandoned the slow-no for horrendous editing and shaky cam in The Final Chapter. But even still, I enjoy these movies lol.

Dude this one has the best action, the next one I think has the second best. Wentworth Miller was a sick casting what a fumble him not being in subsequent ones. This might be the best machine gun action scenes in terms of fun every created. Both vs humans and bs zombies with the rooftop scene you're talking about. That was so much fun and unique.
I would have preferred Jill Valentine and the Redfield brothers to be the main characters, they have more charisma. They called and then discarded Sienna Guillore and Wenworth Miller. They should have never called them and discarded them like that without explaining what happened to the characters.

What material does a sword have to be made out of to be able to slice through flesh, bone, and armor that effectively? How sharp does it have to be? How does one make it that sharp, and how long does it retain its edge? In order to make it that effective at stabbing and cutting, what other properties have to be compromised? I mean, genetically perfect Milla Jovovich soldiers is one thing, but the swords are pretty over-the-top capable as well.
I think its about strength and knowing your way with a sword too like using different angles to tear through even things like helmets or armours etc But yeah a super god damn strong material but in the movie it was broken by a bullet, so It's kinda weird

This could have been the turning point for the franchise making it into an interesting story all chasing down Wesker but instead all that build up blown away by a Wesker nuke followed by Alice losing her powers. Absolutely terrible writing.

lol, gave up on this franchise long ago. These highlights are just fun to laugh at. This is what we call plot armor. There is no way swords win against fifty AR's. These writers have never seen the Last Samurai.

What material does a sword have to be made out of to be able to slice through flesh, bone, and armor that effectively? How sharp does it have to be? How does one make it that sharp, and how long does it retain its edge? In order to make it that effective at stabbing and cutting, what other properties have to be compromised? I mean, genetically perfect Milla Jovovich soldiers is one thing, but the swords are pretty over-the-top capable as well.
I think its about strength and knowing your way with a sword too like using different angles to tear through even things like helmets or armours etc
But yeah a super god damn strong material but in the movie it was broken by a bullet, so It's kinda weird
well maybe those weapons are made of umbrella, not to mention alice has superpowers even her clones adapt it very well, plus they are well trained by the original one, they aim at a fatal spot, the reason why the sword broke is that soldier or any soldier was also equipped special bullets and was also made by umbrella i guess ?😅
