Dont mind the rain on the lense it was a very wet day
Today 4/3/2010 was the very first revenue run back to Elbe in 4 years since the Nisqually river bridge washed out in 2006, todays trips were pulled by Rayonier Willamette # 2.

Perfect sound for a shay locomotive. Reminds me of Cass.

I love the whistle on the 2. It sounds very sweet, very melodic, and very unique. What company made that 3-chime?

17 is down for a 1472, and I believe the Heisler is still getting new tires, number 70 is still not ready, and I am not sure about the Climax. So basically #2 was the only engine good to go, and that's awesome. This gives the Willamette a good chance to display her beauty.

@Chris9017 The climax is operational and was ready to fill in that day in case the # 2 had an y problems.

@Trainman11185 It's not any common made whistle. Looks custom or factory made from Willamette.

Oh okay, that's good to hear. I hope they get the Heisler back up, that way they have an all geared fleet until 70 enters steam.
