- Part 1 of 4 - Featuring the Big Cypress National Preserve and surrounding public and managed lands, producer/director Elam Stoltzfus was joined with many of the public land managers, local experts, hunters, orchid lovers, artists and many great people for this film. The expedition across the swamp in airboats, hiking, mucking about, aerial views, canoes and swamp buggies gave the HD video crew ample opportunities to capture breathtaking images. It is a collection of stories on how the Big Cypress Swamp preservation almost didn't happen, how the lands are currently being managed, an overview of animal behaviors, stunning landscape scenes and a cacophony of sounds blended into a musical score.

This is almost as nostalgic as being there....
Beautiful now I really want to see the Everglades
Used to spend weekends out there airboating, frogging, fishing, and enjoying G-d's beauty.
I love these! It's very interesting and you do an excellent job! I only wish I lived closer to the Everglades so I could enjoy them more often.
I listen to ANY author except Clyde Butcher & Sandra Friend. arm chair photographer & camper... thank you
im going to the everglades on thursday(:
Beautiful landscape, but I would be sort of afraid to walk around neck-deep in a swamp.
@animalinteractions Thanks for your comment. We will continue to post and share these clips. Please pass along and share these stories.
Wonder if the old fish camp is still there...... There was a lake not too far from it called Lost Lake. Indian legend says a meteor hit there many, many years ago. When we would go out to the middle, the airboat would sink several inches... Maybe there is something to that legend.
i watched this in high school the people who did it were parents of 2 kids in my high school
wheres part 2
ahh home sweet home I guess...
Are your Indian friends from india?
stop calling them Indians. They're NATIVE AMERICANS! Indians are from India. Native Americans are true americans
MrNothingButAir call them americans
I have several indian friends. They don't call themselves Native Americans. Stop being so PC and critical of others.
