I work for the RACQ and this just isn’t acceptable. I’ve sent an email this morning with a please explain as to why you were left stranded. Someone from my office will be in touch early next week to go through what actually happened and to help improve our performance. I can only offer my apologies. If someone is to blame for you being left stranded then heads will roll. It’s just not good enough

Got me a beauty...again. 😂 I was devastated thinking how could this happen to a patrol. Arguing with a good mate he was saying cruiser way better chassis than patrol, I found a unbiased aeronautical engineer on youtube saying the Toyota's build quality doesn't compare to Nissan. For a minute I was starting to wonder. 😅

I realise that's an April Fools joke - ha ha - but actually, it can happen.
Elderly friends of ours recently had a wheel bearing fail and lost a wheel on the highway at Melton near Melbourne.
VACC said it couldn't get a tilt tray truck to them until the following day. They had to leave the van locked on the roadside over night. The van was vandalised and the police were called. Because it was a crime scene the police called their own tilt truck and the van was taken to a police holding yard for fingerprinting.
So VACC failed to meet its obligation to look after their members, who have since decided to sell the van and stop caravanning.
So, jokes aside, it can happen.
