I always found it hilarious how Tao is always portrayed wielding one of the swords, when swords are the worst weapon for her on any build besides maybe a blade of bloom build, but even then they're bad on her
Also to answer your question, any upgrade that mentions flying swords counts for both Swords Out(E) and Blade of Bloom
That tends to be the case with quite a few characters, i.e electric cat using the close range flak cannon and bird using a long range bow
the extra usage on the swords is pretty nice. since you only build up stacks as long as it´s ready to use, you can fire the first and immediately build up stacks again without having to wait for the cd to finish. (that only works if you don´t fire both at once obviously)
Cloud weaver are Chinese flying daggers.
For people that read Chinese cultivation manhwas and novels theyre quite a common occurrence, especially their big brother version flying swords.
totally agree and can see why they added them with fox and wukong but cant really see why they didnt added similar with bunny
The homing knives are insane. They also let you cast abilities and such while they just murder stuff in the background, don't even need to aim much either. They delete the golem boss super fast and are also really good against annoying shield enemies. Since they all hit at once, upgrading their damage has massive benefits since its like 5 for the price of 1.
it is super broken and trivialises lower difficulties. Wish they had not added it or at least, it should get nerfed at its current state
@@cleiru7859 Did they get added recently? I suppose that explains why they are so busted compared to other weapons if so. They don't even have a proper 3rd person animation, character holds them like a gun lol
@@cleiru7859 everything is trivial until mid level reincarnation, further the idea of the genre is snowballing player power.
Cloud Weavers carried my first Polar Monarch fight with the Fox. They remain active while you charge your fireball. Very nice.
Did you know Cat can go sniper build? The gist is Energy Blade ascension that boosts next shot after casting E skill plus piercing flame plus Ultimate Gambler from reincarnation mushroom guy that makes it easier.

you should play on higher difficulties so u can buy traits from the mushroom guy at the start of the run and between maps. They really make the classes shine if u find a good one
Yeah I've been enjoying some Reincarnation runs. Just recently had a few good runs on R8. I might make future vids on minimum R1 to show off the mushy dude

Small tip for every parkour area: rely more on mouse/camera movement for turns rather than movement keys to prevent side dashing
Tiger cannon is for monkey character, you try to get one with super high base weapon damage so that your F ability gets huge damage (it deals weapon damage). Your F ability and tiger cannon aoe can’t crit by default, so you just stack lucky chance. By the fish stage I got my tiger cannon to do around 120k damage per shot on Ascension 4 without Double Edge or Merciless Strike
Please give me a build or something with monkey. I only played him once or twice and I had no idea what i was doing. I was thinking about doing a weapon build, abusing his temporary level boosts, or doing a cudgel build. Somebody told me to get craftmans blessing and role until I got a 0.2 projectile etching, I don't know. But I would greatly appreciate it!
@@givemeheadpats2431 If you want to one-shot everything with your F, you need to do a unique exploit (intended but really obscure). Get a sniper (makes F crit), sword (adds 80% lucky chance to F) or launcher (+30% damage and aoe) that has the legendary upgrade "Your gun has 2 ammo, the first shot refunds a bullet to the magazine on kill, the second shot has +200% lucky shot chance."
Basically, you just hold the second shot and never reload. Because your F deals weapon damage, it benefits from the lucky chance increase, making every hit deal 3x damage.
The best possible combo with this legendary upgrade is to get it on a sniper for critical hits on F (this is a seperate crit effect to the goblet upgrade that gives critical hits on f, so they can stack) with the rare upgrade "Gain x0.2 bullets per shot every kill (resets on reload)." This weapon upgrade caps at x2.0 on snipers and kills using your F stack it, so you can triple the base damage of the weapon too by never reloading. This buff also stays between stages and levels as long as you never swap off the sniper, so it's super consistent.
If you get this setup with the F goblet upgrades, your F ability can easily do 1x2x3x3x6 damage, which are really nice looking dark red numbers.

Looks like the bunny can bounce her way through the game decently well, although I did get a chuckle out of how little her sword special was used for the majority of the run!
Doesn't look like the damage output's bad, but the bomb being able to turn enemies into delayed pin-cushions is pretty cool!
However, the more you mention the turtle, the more I want to see it in action, Beelzebud!
(Standing up while using keyboard and mouse sounds a bit strange to me, honestly.)

Tbf, it's build-specific so if you want to spam E, you have to build for E.
The build for E is objectively better because you can spam them endlessly without worrying about ammo(Thus having permanent dmg uptime) but you have no AoE as Q does.
@@ohlookitisacat7404 Honestly, yeah, I can see where you're coming from there. Main reason I found it funny was that there were times where it could've possibly been used for the hell of it to clear out the remaining groups of enemies, though the damage upkeep's an extremely fair point to make.
Needing to build it up the next room would waste time you could spend blowing everything to smithereens with the bomb, after all!

run the tiger cannon with the monkey and take the perk that lets you shoot 5 times without consuming ammo after secondary skill, is big fun

All I can say is that stacking movement speed things on Tao, such as 50% decreased CD on the dash and the 33% chance to refresh after use is hella fun, you just zoom all over the place
rainbow is kinda sick if you get a ton of critx because you just use the right click on a bosses head and then get 2 clips of auto crits

You can invite people from steam, send out a code to be entered or matchmake with randos. Up to 4 players, game scales enemies and their stats based on the number of peeps. I did some co-op on stream so the VoD channel with any gunfire section you can see some.

Yeah go for it dude. I just mess around a bunch too. I also tried getting the nightmare under 30 achieve a few times. It's pretty tough and seems very RNG heavy.

aiming in gunfire probably feels weird because everything is a projectile with relatively small hit boxes which makes you miss a lot especially if the target and you are strafing, so your crosshair could be on the target and it just doesn’t matter sometimes
Ironically I use her as a gunslinger
Generally try to get flower chain
Really good for aoe and if you do it right 1 flower can sweep an entire group
Oh yeah, having her flowers bloom every 2nd shot on an angelic aura is so satisfying. She has a ton of great build options.
bunny is godlike when u get that blade of bloom skill, literally a boss slayer
also when u get this skill u should use [Swords Out] (E) only in situations when theres no other choice cuz at this point grenades are just straight up better, especially with its bonus damage after 12 hits. U dont need Q-E Q-E rotation, just Q spam
It's kind of a shame that Cloud Weaver does so much damage without needing to play around its gimmick. The damage scaling based on travel distance doesn't add enough to warrant a Shoot/return/Shoot playstyle, or rapidly swapping between distant targets. You can just hold your cursor over a crit spot and wiggle your mouse slightly while it shreds everything from the inside.
the +1 to first ability count is insane on this character because while you use the first cast you can easily charge your second cast and then repeat stacking INSANE amounts of damage just by constantly casting blades

Is there a benefit to actually using the sword skill if you've got the grenade sword summon? It seems counter productive as each grenade is an auto-homing summon without having to build them back up.
The main difference is volume, sure you can just use your Q but if you have 7 stacks of your E you will just summon 7 swords. When you use your E you shoot 7 waves of X amount of swords

From what I saw he picked up the Q Sword summon, along with several other buffs to that playstyle, but he kept using the swords and then spamming the grenades before it was fully restocked. If it was just for fun (or the fact that recording a video always splits focus, which is also cool) that's all good, but thought I'd ask as it confused me to the point that I thought I was missing something obvious.
Yeah ideally if your grenade/Q is killing dudes on its own or setting up an easy quick kill, that's fine. I used a few sword summons here and there mostly just to use the damn thing otherwise it would sit there and be forgotten about. You don't want to use your Q when you're low on sword stacks but by the end of the run I'm just spamming it. The benefit is what the Q does normally which is mark an enemy who takes a big pop of damage after 12 hits. So even without the swords getting a mark helps.
The big draw is the burst of using Q to mark + summon small sword burst, activating the BIG SWORDS and spraying into the enemy. Damage is dumb.
@@Beelz55 So it's burst vs the possibility of a stronger sustain. Sounds like a cool balance between the playstyles. I wasn't aware at first that the ultimate shot multiple swords per stack, so that's an interesting point especially when you consider just how fast you get the damn things back. Basically the ultimate way to wipe a dangerous enemy or two of the mpa.

Great video. It's not just you BTW on accuracy in this game. I ultranightmare Doom Eternal all the time with mods to make it harder. My accuracy in this game is not as good for some reason. I think it's because movement is so much slower, it's throwing me off. Just played Deadlink and even that was fine (ton of fun too and very similar to Gunfire).

i am loving this game I've just recently started elite mode and i keep randomly dying from full hp in one hit no matter the character i play at zone 2 onwards any tips for this.
Don't stop moving, keep grinding essence and start filling out the survival tree. There's an upgrade that stops you from being 1 shot and leaves you on 1hp. Besides that, move a lot
are you gonna start doing nightmare/ascension runs? id like to see how you fare on the challenge runs.
Been doing some Reincarnation on the side. Currently R8 is the one I'm struggling on a bit. But in the future I'll do R1 minimum to start introducing mushroom guy.
Spirit Bible is incredibly broken on Tao. Same for Angelic Aura and Scalpel. Definitely always look for those in my runs. All of Tao's kit synergizes super well, it's honestly hard to have a truly bad run.

Not limited time. It's the DLC that introduced the monkey and fox girl characters, as well as some new modes to play with and items.
Its not just you with the accuracy, exactly the same for me! I normally have okay to good aim, in gunfiire though I can't hit for shit, unless I'm point blank or using a sniper e.e

So last I checked the stacking sword damage only works for casting the f ability. I tend to avoid that ascension now.
Also, the rainbow can really melt bosses if you get the tracking mark on the weak spot. With the right inscriptions you can get ludicrous numbers from weak spots.

I'll forever be a mouse and keyboard guy for FPS. It's just better control overall. But you can use whatever.

Very well, she eats the game alive with the right set up. She's very consistent and all she really needs is some fast attacking weapons.

Not sure, looks fine on my end. When there's a lot of effects the game can lock up a bit, you see it when Elites die here and there. But nothing out of the ordinary.
It's not just you, the frame rate is pretty wonky for me as well, even the mouse movement on menu's looks like 20fps
Edit: double checked watching on my phone, the video is definitely looking like sub 20fps. The last Gunfire video is also not coming through at 60fps even on that setting, it's looking like around 30.

As in her HP and Shield are on the lower side compared to other charcaters. Everyone can be made to be tanky with their upgrades and scrolls, I just mean fresh out the gate her values are lower.

Beelz I love you man but the sentence the secondary doesn't does much dmg killed me ^^ try that with the blessing that reduces the hits you need and actually boost its dmg and then say that again. Well you couldn't use the blessing in this run but you did ignore the dmg ups for it :P
I just mean its base damage, pointing out that its a set up type skill that expands upon itself with its own effect. Compared to something like the dog throwing a grenade that is. But every characters secondary can be made to be dummy strong.
@@Beelz55 well the cat grenade is without ascension only a setup to get an easy decay proc. I know what you mean, but if you have a weapon that fires fast or has many bullets like your beloved illusion you can proc the dmg constantly and I think it is like 600 base dmg that hurts enemies on elite or nightmare. I didn't mean to flame you btw was just my opinion and maybe it inspires you or other to try a different style sometimes. Like with the fox where many love the primary and I love my meteor builds. So many fun builds ^^

If you have never played BL2 you are kind of missing out it's the best one in the series. . .you are not missing much with BL3 though go ahead and skip it

@@Beelz55 she pretty much only has one viable build to clear high difficulty and dog does that build better her skills are just not very strong and her talent tree does little to boost her outside of the infinite shooting build which yea is ok but compared to the resr she just lacks identity

Wow. Clearly, i have been playing her the wrong way. Trying to clear nightmare solo and have not been having the greatest luck. Playing on ps5 so, missing the dlc content and all the updates the mobile version has gotten. Sucks for us console players.
