As Chris was saying before lunch, he could clear so much more with the dozer than the excavator. The difference was finesse of the excavator compared to the brute force of the dozer. However, the dozer does a much better job of clearing than the excavator. I am biased as I love the dozer with the root rake. Thanks from UK.
Love the sound of the D6. Really does push down the trees. The excavator looked like a prehistoric animal eating "Factor Meals" ha ha Cannot believe how dry and dusty it is. Hope you get the A/C repaired quickly. North Texas will be 89 tomorrow. Nice work. Have a great week.
Chris - My wife and I watch letsdig18 nearly every evening (largely because we are party people). We were wondering 2 things. 1. When you're clearing, how do you make the choice between using the excavator or the dozer? It looks like the excavator is more efficient (and a lot more comfortable). 2. What would happen if you drove over a length of the small trees without slowing and just pushing everything over as if you were mowing and return then a second pass on the first row out to come out of the ground without any resistance. Just some thoughts trying to understand.
You need to run the ac at least once a month during the winter cause there is seals in the system that will go bad from extended periods of non use. You need to run it long but enough to allow the system to circulate. Freon is more than a refrigerant but also has oil in to lubricate the seals and compressor
Having the meals already made for you Chris is absolutely amazing, I had a small kitchen on my fleet truck, working 100 hours a week gave me time every 5 hour's for a hot meals and coffee ☕️ or tea 🍵. Very important to keep hydrated and healthy, especially as no opportunity to stop in town's,
Have you ever used a root plow in brushy clearing? Here in Texas they use a root plow first then come through with the rake to push it up. Because the brush is loose it rakes up without much dirt.
If the buyers want hardwood trees, they can buy red & white oak & other species at 7-8' tall for around $100 each in NC - cheaper than the cost of working round some stump shoots.
My preference is the Excavator for clearing, the removal of the trees and vegetation seems more efficient than pushing dirt and tee's and all else into a pile, then sort it again with the excavator. The cab is comfy, and impart air-conditioned, let's hope Nealy good is running down with some more gold bars for you. You certainly get thrown about in the D6, would like to see you trying out a 850j like DPs just to see if it would do a better job. What about a Rota tiller attachment behind a bulldozer to clean up after the Blade work? a trailing Bush Hog !obviously a bully with rippers would be the foundation to run something behind!
Well it looks like Chris has found a new hobby. SNAKE WRANGLING AND BEE KEEPING OH cannot forget the cat in the cab that caused Chris to vacate quickly in one move. Still the smoothest operator I know of around.
Chris, Thank you for the great content . The interest seems high among viewers about mulching vs excavator clearing. Maybe a collaboration video in the future doing a side by side comparison. Cost per acre analysis, time, site appearance after 1 yr etc.
The video angle from the side of the D6 really shows how fast it is at clearing land. You don't get the same sense of accomplishment from the over the shoulder view. The side angle really shows the power of the D6.
By the big Clearing Project. You building the Driveway with Stone. Then building You Fire Heap from the Road out Bush. To following road You farther Bush out, with the Excavator. Then is Lunch Time! Good strong Work You with the Cat Dozer farther. Building a great free Areal. However a Perfect Work what You make. 💪👍👌
I know you have your preferences but do you see yourself rigging the D6 more as a clearing a dozer with cage protection and leaving the D7 for mostly dirt? That D6 is really running well. I think you have everything well balanced as far as what equipment you use in the capacities they're needed. Keep up the good work.
Hi. from England love your video.s watching your picking up and droppig brush if you had a trailer or platform with a strong metal mesh you could drop the brush onto that and the dirt would pass throu to the ground could save you picking it up so many times.
Oh Yeah, Gonna have to get the Air working !! Hell, it's already been in the mid 80's here in Western Ky. for about a week now, and the humidity is creeping in with it !! That's what I hate is the damn humidity in the summer !! lololol... What happened ?? ya didn't show us all the rock you was talking about on that site... lolol... Looks like ya got it coming right on a long though !! looking good Man !! Great as always Chris !! Have a Great Evening, And On too the Next !!
A microwave on a jobsite isn't uncommon.. Painter brought in a toaster the other day.. first time I've seen one.. Dude was serious about his bread.. lol.. Love the videos!
USING THE DOZER FOR THE SMALL BRUSH AND STACKING IT WITH THE EXCAVATOR THE NEXT DAY IS SO MUCH FASTER AND YOU WONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ALL THAT DIRT 😀 😉..
Three balloons - that certainly makes it an official .clearing site. A bit 'close' in the 220 cabin - it is what it is - repair time on the way. D6 really does a great job. Bye the way, love the new hat design, the food idea and how is Winston, the childhood oak tree and the cabin build?
i love the over the shoulder view of how it is to doze. i love the simple machines and the basic power balance you have with simple controls vs fly by wire. with privative systems the feedback is your ass, with modern is is sensors. both have advantages imho.
2 advantages of the excavator, 1, when you pull the tree you end up with less dirt & 2 you can tell us about what you are doing. It’s your equipment & job use what you think is best. We might think that we know something but “I” know nothing Thank you Sir
Your microwave needs a lets dig18 sticker on it lol.The balloons seem really supportive of this project considering the number of appearances they're making from their busy schedules 😂😂😂
Welp...I fig mulching be faster...but thats why you make the big dollars and and I'm a 50€ man. I'll tell ya Chris you've come a long way since I started watching you clear canals....honestly I couldn't be happier for you. I hope your uncle isn't suffering without you...full time on his dime
Would it quiet down the D6 if the exhaust pipe was move higher and slightly above the roof line? I’m sure it won’t really quiet it down but it will change the perceived volume for you Chris!
Another great factor "ad" if you can evan call it that it's just lunch time with Mr. Chris I like to know the meal of the day the one u had today sounded good cuz like u said who can say no to bacon lol I just like how real you do it it doesn't seem like your reading a pre written thing on them it's the real deal. Good deal man your doing good work out there keep it up the lot is coming along nicely
I would love to be there just to smell the diesel fuel exhaust, I guess it takes me back to when I was a kid. Since the government started mandating DEF, it just doesn't smell the same.
Started out with R12 then went to R134A now its something else that costs about 100 dollars a pound. I'm sure there is someone who knows the designation for it. And just for fun every different kind needs its own machine to fill.
When clearing for a drive if you have a real hard firm ground you would not use fabric ,but if any doubt re conditions then use fabric ,ground with a little moisture in it will pump and bring your clay/ soil to the top and spoil the road base .hope this helps
😂😂 Well the weather is getting warmer cause Chris’s squeaky track has return, I bet when he buys his equipment, if it doesn’t have a squeaky track it’s a no sale. 😂😂😂
Use code LETSDIG50 to get 50% OFF your first Factor box plus 20% off your next box at bit.ly/3xgUGBG!
Chris what are the chances that Jeff's children?Let those balloons go a year or two years ago or three years ago
@@user-rt8ik1ow4ione jeffs pizza parties got outta hand 😂😂
Stringent forensic analysis of evidence retrieved would reveal how long there.
Eating in the Cab, no no, there might be crumbs on the floor, Chris what are you thinking
Why don't you pack your lunch night before so all you gotta do coffee and grab your lunch
I really enjoyed the side angle of the dozer working! It shows just how much more effective it is than using the excavator.
Chris doing a fluff and stack on all the brush...... awesome to watch! 14:45 The excavator looks like a dinosaur nibbling the brush nom nom nom lol.
I came here to say the same thing 😂😂
Love the sound of the D6. Really does push down the trees. The excavator looked like a prehistoric animal eating "Factor Meals" ha ha Cannot believe how dry and dusty it is.
Hope you get the A/C repaired quickly. North Texas will be 89 tomorrow. Nice work. Have a great week.
The D6 does sound mean and smooth for its age... Im looking at 91.. so it jumped up some more.
That root rake makes a world of difference.
Ya know, it’s pretty impressive watching you from the side view pushing down the trees & brush with the D6.
❓️ Why can I hear in my head your signiture 🎶 🎵 when your skidsteer, on fast mood, was spreading stone ❓️ 👍🏼😁

Balloons are probably from one of Bealeygoods parties 🤣🤣👍👍
Man, that little dozer is a beast! What a machine.💪
The excavator in time lapse looks like PAC-MAN!!! Wonky Wonka Wonka❤❤❤
So many different jobs, how's the cabin coming along🤔
You need to run the ac at least once a month during the winter cause there is seals in the system that will go bad from extended periods of non use. You need to run it long but enough to allow the system to circulate. Freon is more than a refrigerant but also has oil in to lubricate the seals and compressor
If you run the defrost the ac pump is running
When you film the D6 from a distance you can see just how productive that machine is.
Great video, clearing is coming along quite nicely, you definitely are keeping busy with all the projects going on.just keep doing your thing.😎😎😎👍👍👍
The lot looks awesome, as usual. I enjoy watching you transform land. Thanks for sharing, Chris. BTW, I love your Factor ads. They are so you.
Chris, you make a good Factor commercial, how, cuz you made me hungry.😋🤣

If you hit any swarming bees in the dozer, you're in trouble!
been there done that,
all you can do is RUN !
@thedissidentcitizen Same here. Was on my tractor and it was yellow jackets, they were faster than me
@@rundoetx I ran over a Yellow jacket nest a couple of years ago. Was wearing shorts and got stung in the place only the wife could love.

Buying a tree means you can put it where you want it.
Another beautiful lot clearing for Mr Bealy Good you just keep making the landscape more and more accessible to build nice homes 👍😎🇺🇸 NY
This clearing project is coming along well and another balloon ya really living the dream bro. Safe travels. Ken.
Thanks for showing the dozer from the side shot. Now we can see how much quicker it is than the excavator!

Thanks for the update, don’t believe I have ever seen that ballon’s found in one video before. Enjoy your content sir.
Nice video Chris, love the way the D6 starts right up.
Didn't take long for all the leaves the pop out, really greened up, the trees are starting to bud but still waiting up here in the UP of Michigan...

@16:50 You're so crazy Chris! Take a microwave with your service trailer. Good service for your body and stomage! Bon apetit! 😄
Thanks for explaining the reason you don't mulch. Really enjoy watching your videos.

It's definitely looking much better now. Hopefully the A/C is a quick fix for summer weather work.
That 6 has turned out 2 be a productive, reliable tractor. Congrats man . I wish u tha best
Lot is lookin' reall good.
I hope next episode we get to see Chris spreading the gravel on the entrance.
Road build and clearing great video thanks Chris
I just want to say that I enjoy your vids and your style is very informative.....Thanks
Every time I see the skidsteer filmed in high speed, I think about that cleaner robot in Wall-E.
Great shots of the tree clearing
Look like you are just about complete with this lot!! Coming along!! So many balloons!!
nice perpendicular camera angle with that D6 from picking weeds to getting ya root rake on!!
Nice big project. Well done!
Very satisfying work Chris good content
Looking good , brush pile keeps getting bigger , may just turn out too be a nice 🔥
Love the black smoke rolling from the old iron. Thats so American !
I love how nimble this 220 is, the bucket and thumb are smooth and precise.

Do you get to use any of the crushed concrete you created?
Hmmm......?????? gotta stay tuned
Some of it is being used on the clearing, pond build job for driveway base to house.
Same owner on both jobs.
We would love to see you do a demo with a AMI land clearing rake attachment comparison on time for clearing that type of scrub mess. #ami great vids
i first got into watching dozer vids by chance. watching you with the different views it all makes sense. thank you for your wonderful content.
Best pitchman for factor meals out of anybody!
THANKS!
Have a good one Chris, take care and God Bless ya Brother!!!❤😊
As someone who prefers to be barefoot, it warms my heart to see so many of those nasty gum trees destroyed!
The same goes for Holly. Can't stand 'em.

Love watching. Just curious do you have a dump truck and if so when do you decide to use it as opposed to having material delivered?
Practice will never make perfect,

🔥🔥🔥 ONE OF MY FAVORITE MEALS TOO
Chris are you going to add grade control to the old 220? How about adding an extra aux line?
Doesn't seem like you find to many snakes with all the ground clearing you do, especially around the ponds. You find more balloons than snakes. 😂
will there be any footage of the filling of that huge pond?
Chris, you sure do have a lot of projects on your plate. You get more done than a team of workers. Stay healthy and safe. God Bless.

lestdig18 I cleared a lot of brush in my woods and i had to be very careful not to get ticked because there is a lot of ticks in the woods and brush.
You need a skid steer root rake like ole DP.
When you’re doing driveways, sometimes I see you using fabric. What makes the desired decision to use or not use it Chris?

Chris is out of the mud season. :)
Would a tree puller on your skid loader be faster?
Yes that is a lot work Peace out
You need D9 for cleaning! Or probably even D11 )))
Hope no bees around with open Mountain Dew. :) Thank you and have a great day.
One question, what size stone goes down to make these driveways? Thanks
