I had gallbladder stones three years ago and that kick started my running! The most pain I could imagine gave me the spark to get fit. Its a distant memory now while I make plans for London, Berlin and Chicago marathons. You're an inspiration mate, good luck with it all, give it time and I've no doubt you'll be back stronger than ever!

Hi Donato, sorry to hear about the stones. Unpleasant but fortunately treatable, look after yourself in the meantime. Life is full of bumps in the road especially as you get older I find. I’m in VMLM too and whilst I don’t have stones I’m waiting on a biopsy in my mouth late Jan, doesn’t stop me running and nothing too scary I hope (old groin injury and Achilles tendinitis more likely to stop me training) but we will try 👍

My daughter had the exact same pains, shes had then before, went to the hospital and they said basically when the stone blocks a bile duct that's when the pain happens, they scanned her and said if they can see the stone they would operate that day. Luckily they coukdnt see it and think she may have passed it. But I know the pain is horrendous. Take care get well and keep us informed. Loved the Malaga vid by the way

Listen to you I thought about stones. Thank God it's not more serious. Check over your diet, getting stones has to do with what you eat and drink and how your body reacts to it. If you can run in Spain after only 8 weeks of training, you can do London after some good rest and losing the stones. Have a great 2020. My big goal will be running my first Marathon in April, super excited.

One day at a time, don't rush your body. My sister had a kidney stone... made her very ill for days, but she was able to pass it. I know others who've had them... Passed out from the pain! You are a TOUGH dude! Gallstones: my late Mom had them, the whole gallbladder had become diseased and was removed. Same for a co-worker... He had excruciating low back pain... Off to emergency room for surgery, as the gallbladder ruptured- and on a holiday weekend! Our bodies know nothing about TIME. Take good care... You will back to run another day!!!

Maybe 5 years ago after a run, I peed blood and what I believe was a kidney stone. Dizzying painful but never had anything like it afterwards. Here in USA we overpay for every medical procedure so I didn't bother following up on issue. You are lucky to have single payer health system.
