Funny thing about this is in French speaking world a performing magician and hypnothist called 'Messmer' really exists performing a near identical act !!😁🤣
This is awesome. The first series of Alan Partridge does have some fantastically funny moments. Also, i'm pretty sure the mystical narrrator of the piece is Steve Coogan as well.
Everything about it is superb. David Schneider's beard, hair and mannerisms are just brilliant pisstakes of this sort of magician, and the Jean-Michel Jarre track is perfect accompaniment. The attention to detail really is fantastic.
I think Tony Le Mesmer was a fusion of David Copperfield and Terry Wogan, Coogan's voice in the background garbling babble about Damecles and Katamandu 😅😅😅😅😅😅
It was in GTA IV look up the soundtrack (the original 2008 release though - licensing will have expired on subsequent releases and the track replaced) can't remember which radio station the jazz one
David Schneider is absolutely brilliant in this!
The void of solitude, the summoning of the spirits of Talamakhus.....
THE SHROUD.
@wesley wild David Schneider's facial expressions and body language in this are absolutely superb!

Such showmanship …. I never want to know how he does it.
Cage of Katmandu, dance of Diabolos. Priceless
"As the wheel of death commences its inexorable spin…" - knock it off with the long words mate, tell it like it is...
....the show IS moribund!!!!
Very underrated performance this a real highlight of the series .I notice the girl appears to change costume later on well bathing costume.
He looks like a young Peter Capaldi, the 12th Doctor.
If you watch very carefully you can see the knives going down his sleeve at the end.
God love Alan Partridge.
Adrian Finch decided he wanted a better and more exciting line of work than bringing out a white paper which should end all discussion.
