Watch out for St Augustine Prep...this team is much better than the team that beat SHP and almost beat St Peters prep 2 years ago. A lot of the same players are back. 10-14 D1 guys. Just coz they hail from south Jersey doesn’t mean that can’t hang with the big dogs up north.

@@mmcgahn5948 I am with you on that one. You can't compare Shore football with North Jersey football.

St Aug is not a shore team. They for sure can be compared to any team in NJ with over 10 guys playing on D1 scholarships next year. They beat SHP and then St Peters wins by 1 last second TD the last year there were playoffs. The year before that St Joe Montvale needed OT to beat the Hermits. No doubt those powers up north are typically better. But it’s not like they are almighty and untouchable.

LOL, they got laughed at in only good team played and have played a very soft public school south jersey schedule... just not comparable to the North Jersey catholic schools. Double laugh at the 2 yrs ago comment.. they beat SHP on last play of game with only pass completed in the game on a very cold day, was a freak win, and, I believe 1st win by South Jersey team in over a decade... Yes, they get a lot of talent from a wide area where North Jersey splits between many schools but to rank them with the top 5/6 North Jersey catholic schools is just not fair... but they will get their chance.

@@chriscarlino5561 My bad about the Shore comment. S.A.P. has not played any opponent in the N.J. top 7. D.B.P. has played 6 while B.C., DELB, S.J.R., and S.P.P. played 4 each. As of right now, the Hermits are a solid no. 2 seed. They may meet S.H.P., who may get the no. 3 seed, again. That is provided they make it that far. If they are seeded 4th, or 5th, their strength-of-schedule will have cost them. As for your comment, you are right in implying that games are settled on the field. It will be fun to find out.
