► Update 1:
Section 1: If the prison experiences a chunk ban, it is the job of the outside guards to attempt to sabotage the chunk ban. If they are successful (or the ban is temporary) All prisoners must be sent to SHU whilst the guards kill any and all mobs that spawned during the ban. After they are dead, prisoners who were previously on default respawn will be sent back to their normal cells.
Section 2: There is a complete item whitelist pinned in the main channel of my discord server. If you need the full list, join the server and check the pinned messages.
Section 3: To refill the fire charge dispensers on the automatically relighting portals, you will need to locate a hopper in the same room as the specialized respawn switches (right above the control room.) Send fire charges of unique unpatterned names, in order to prevent fire charges from stacking (to preserve resources.) Always make sure the first hopper in the chain is full to ensure that every portal is full.
Section 4: The protocol about a visitor failing to right click the second white bed above them as they respawn has been clarified. The visitor will not be banned from visiting in the incident that the visitor re-enters the visiting process immediately after respawning.
► Update 2:
Section 1: New protocol. If the top nether guard has any reason to be suspicious that anything has happened (i.e. heard mining and then a disconnect, or hears mining but doesn't see entities) whatever it may be, he will do the following. Check composters to see if anything has been broken, walk the halls checking for items, use every red stone device at least once to guarantee they are still functionable.
Section 2: Every 15-30 minutes, the warden (top of the overworld) should look up to check for overhead entites (taking into account elder guardians and mine carts)

What if you made a prison that makes the prisoners feel so bad they stop doing bad things or stop playing minecraft entirely? Call it the "Arcem poenae crudelis" ("Prison of cruel punishment" in latin)
One thing is for sure: This is the most lore friendly prison that has been built so far.
its not as humane as they would not have to study or work, these are torture.

Being permanently banned from visiting sounds better than being in prison
i think it would be easier to tell us what is allowed, then what isn't and yes I would like a contraband list

I wonder what blocks would be allowed in the build area. I'm sure wood would is definitely banned due to crafting potential.

Wool, soft blocks (dirt, concrete powder, sand), wooden slabs, but definitely not stones not stones, maybe some glass & silk touch shears
Eleos Citadel, it has been an inspiration for me. No, not for a prison, but rather for something else. I had been waiting for this video to come out, and even though it might be a guard video, I genuinely love how efficient this prison is. (And the laugh (not necessarily 'evil') in the end was also good :00) I do have one question in mind, and it might come off as strange.
What if a visitor tries to kill a prisoner during the visiting process? Let's say, for plot reasons-
The prisoner will just go back to their cell. As for the visitor, I don't really care what happens to them. The warden can decide what happens in that scenario I guess.

tbh i'd love to see a server that is a stress test on the prison
a mmo multi server kind of thing that allows several groups of prisoners and gards to be on as well
that way, you can stress test the shit out of the prison
edit: and maby people outside the prison?
basicly give the prison the worst shot at dealing with things as possible to really TEST it to the limits

Wait so I have a bit of a problem with this scenario in which the alarm doesnt go off and the guard forgets to mention they died
If they close up the hole above them it wont be noticable
shame there isn't a way to see entities without seeing them

I know this question is not really relevant to the prison, but what shaders are you using for this video? (and are the shaders easy for a pc to run?)

I use complementary shaders. From my experience they are very easy to run, I record on a laptop and most often my frames only go as low as 40-50

How does one get the prisoners’ spawn points set back to special housing unit after they are finished in the build room? Does that process interfere with getting prisoners out of the way during a lockdown?

Maybe instead of eleos, you could use elysian, inspired by the myths about the promised land of the elysian fields. Elysian citadel.

Probably particles count as entities, and you don't need those for f3 check

Hes using java, bedrock redstone is less efficient and cant be used to make prisons, also bedrock doesnt have shaders unless you count rtx
