I'm a 49 year old white guy that grew up in staten island NY....my best friend who lived across the street had the biggest damn boom box I had ever seen in my life....I was probably 12 or 13 when this came out and we would sit on his porch and blast this and the beastie boys and run dmc all day while trying to do lame skateboard moves😂😂....great times and whenever I hear a song like this it always brings me back to that time in my life.

Yeah, classic old school hip-hop. Public Enemy’s always been one of my fave rap groups. Like Rage Against The Machine after them (who Chuck D worked with) they wrote about politically, socially and culturally relevant issues. They always had the serious stuff.
