Growth was already stunted in the EU, I do hope they do things differently for Arthurian Legends or I will dissapointently have to declare it dead on arrival in EU.
#1: Nice background! #2: good points, waiting 8 months for AL and/or a 2nd small Beta reprint is not that bad. In my case this is gonna give me the time to convince lgs around to get the product this time around and not miss the big release.
While it can be good that boxes are selling really well, it seems like the boxes are sold mostly to collectors and speculators. There is no scene even remotely close to where I live, and probably won't be if they don't print and ship more product. I would not consider this a successful game if seasonal box openings on UA-cam is the only way to interact with the game for most players. And yes, the precons seem great (if you can acquire them) but they can quickly become stale if you can't modify them at all.
I disagree, many mundane cards that get used in decks but not being "speculated" are being sold in volume. There are many players actively building decks. The scene has to be created. I did it here with no products on store shelves.
@@wizardsden666 Yes that is probably true, and you seem to do a great job at sparking interest locally. However from my experience, most people engaging in single-card markets get into their games from buying sealed product and getting that initial spark of interest. I got into Magic by playing sealed and attending prereleases. I don't think I would be buying single cards for deck building without that experience.
Great video thanks Haine, I'll be looking forward to a draft cube video... good idea for sure, I have too much bulk laying around time to put it to use
As a new player the pre con decks are not enough. At this point I will prbly put sorcery on the back burner and maybe check out the new sets when they come out. Still frustrating to not have the opportunity to buy most the cards in the game without paying crazy markup. At least magic has cards I can buy.
I would agree with you that the growth could still happen through pre cons and singles of A the pre cons were worth using in competitive formats or B the singles market didn’t explode in price. Building a competitive deck is way too much $$$ now with the secondary market for singles off the charts. In the short term people will be interested in the phenomenon Sorcery is but 8 months until you can crack a box for retail… yeah gonna be dead by then.
I really love drafting but I can't help feel a certain wastage guilt. I always give my local gaming store the extras for people that might want to get into it.
Haine! Do us all a huge favor and MAKE MORE CONTENT! Love your stuff, just need more :D
Well good news for you is that there is going to be a new episode soon early next week!

If players try to spread it, growth will not stunt!
@@wizardsden666 How? Without cards there is no game. Even if I want to spread it to all of my friends, who are interested.
Great content, 100% agree player led growth is going to be really important in this stage until there is product again.
Indeed, the long release cycle have to filled in via the community to keep the game thriving!
Great video as always! - very measured response to the change in availability
Glad you liked it!

Hope you succeed in convincing them! It should go smooth if you can make a community first!

Well Simon just listed Japan in the fall limited reprint... they must like you ; )
I heard that news! What a great news for Japan!

Yeah, I will try to get that video up soon!
Great stuff as usual! Was it just me or was there a bit of background noise here and there? Like at 4:27
I think that was the noise by the mic touching the clothes, I think I'll check my mic position in the future to not let that happen.

Boxes in Aussie already went to $359.95 following the announcement.
Wooo, that's a major spike....I can see non-US countries will get the biggest hit.
Do you get foils in precon boxes?
It is possible to get it in the booster pack included in the precons.
Perfect thumbnail card for the title lol
The end is near!!! lol

Even with the singles price increase, building a deck is still pretty cheap.

Yeah, I sort of understand that feeling.
Don’t throw that box away, get the dust code first!
Got that!
100% agree

Great video 💯💯💯
Thanks!
