Why so much slack in the cases? Are they designed to move around like that when mounted?

Thank you for your enquiry.
The cases themselves have no room to move. This is the ABS material, which is more flexible than aluminium and therefore makes the case more robust.

Nice cases but stay away from cases that open from the side.
Buy ones that open from the top, they hold more and your stuff doesn’t fall out on the ground when the cases is really packed full when you open the lid.

We have adapted the inside pockets for this. That way the individual items don't fall out of the case:

But of course, toploaders also have their own advantages.
