Your flute playing made me recall a childhood memory, there was this record my Mom used to play to us a lot, it was children’s stories accompanied by mostly flute music, and the flute music accentuated the action that was happening, like a bear would fall out of a tree and the flute would go “fwwoooooooo….” But the the bear would get up and be just fine and the flute would go “fweeeeeeeeee….”
That sounds nice. We had an LP of Peter and the Wolf with orchestral music and narrator. It always used to get stuck on ‘and shooting as they went, click, and shooting as they went, click, and shooting as they went, click’....
It wasn't bad, but the mushies were not exactly at their peak of freshness. I hadn't realised how past their date they were until I saw it on the footage whilst editing! Ew! My poor child! I binned the second box.
Well.... it shrinks banks... shrivels... so the outer frame is the same dimension, more or less, but the inner bits that hold the instrument in place shrank, leaving room for slippage.
Moving is such a pain! It’s good you have a place to stay in the interim. Best of luck with homeschooling and all of that. Nice hearing you play flute a bit. Take care 😊
Yes, I'm really lucky. Being at IB's or my dad's I can almost entirely forget about the move for a while at least. It's a nice break and we can just get on with life.
It's always a work in progress and takes constant adaption and modification to keep up with her growing and changing. I'm just going to keep trying my best. Thanks, guys!

I think it's permissible if it's real. Hee hee! Well, I most drastically HAD had enough. I'm much happier at IB's for sure. I love having him around, anyway. He runs a business from his home and so is tied to that location, but in my heart of hearts, I wish we were getting a new place together. It's not practical right now, though. I haven't seen that. I bet most people can't tell the difference. I might do a similar video with Izzy's £125 kiddies flute. I could do to sell it to raise funds, anyway.... though I kind of like it. It's a lovely little thing.

Thanks. I have a playlist on here called 'Musical Endeavours'. Those ones feature gigs and playing, although they are still vlogs, so the music is part of the story. My next vlog will be VERY musicy as it's Tafwyl festival. I wasn't playing at it this year so I went with my camera and captured lots of other bands and got a diverse range. Yeah - Book Shark starts at a very young age, so some of those might suit your growing family as bedtime read-alouds. I wish I'd turned to it years ago to be honest, I think it would have suited mine far better for getting her interested. Do you play an instrument? Izzy does seem to get on OK with the homeschooling on the whole. It gives her a lot of space and freedom to develop her art and singing and it's good to see her absorbed and focused on these and honing her skills. I'm especially pleased by how that's turned out.

Passing out! Oh wow! Do you know, I forgot all about my first attempts until this very moment, but now I come to think of it, I did come over very dizzy at first. 35 years on I have a terrific set of lungs. When I'm in the dentist's chair, dentists keep telling me to breathe, but of course, you can't speak in that situation, so I can't explain I just don't breathe much when resting compared to normal people, so I just have to breathe more to oblige or they get all concerned. I must remember to tell them first next time.
Hope the move comes fast for you both! I’ve just moved and it’s been so stressful. Just think it will all be worth it in the end when you and Izzy are in your lovely new home ☺️❤️
That little flute solo around 5 minutes sounded very French Impressionistic. That's neat cork for the flute case. My sister had the same problem with her case. Taxonomy is hardly the most engaging of topics, but when an individual realizes what the specific classification is based upon, it can be very interesting.
I know that one thing when I was a kid that got me interested in science was Star Trek and Star Wars, particularly the tech of it all - I know Iz is a Dr. Who fan, maybe she can be interested in science through that? 😊
Hm. I’ll think about that. She does live Sherlock - modern remake of Sherlock Holmes, and I’ve managed to buy her a science book that features stories involving Holmes and Watson, so we’ll give that a go once we’ve finished our current read-aloud.

Well,.... it doesn't come naturally to her. As long as she can take it in her own time and go over things until she's got it she's OK. She so far has been as uninterested in physics as a person can be, apart from liking astronomy to a basic level. People change as they get older though. I'm still trying to light that fire!
Yesss! That's what these Book Shark books are about - they follow characters and their stories of scientific discovery. I wish I'd have had the confidence to switch years ago now, in hindsight. Extra luckily for us, a homeschooler friend (who never comments on YT) messaged me after seeing this video and offered to lend us some of the books that she has finished with. That's great.
