agreed....the blue is harder to see once they are out of the water, but they have this crazy blue tint to them in the water. you can kind of see it in the release of the big one.
Ty that was the trip of a lifetime but DON'T QUIT NOW you've got a slew of these trips in front of you! Idea: take your dad on one of these trips with you. You have no idea how much he'd enjoy that. Trust me. What a bonding experience, too!
Them things are monsters there. That had to be fun doing that hanging them monsters. Yellow jacket was killing it. Monster monster at the end ! Thanks for the trip. Loved it Ty.
That was one gorgeous fish!!! As little as I know on fishing would have thought the fish not to be so brightly colored in that area. Nature always has reasons for everything for all that occurs. Another great video!!
Thank you Ginny! they do stick out, seems the little ones stick around cover a lot until they are nearer the top of the food chain, then the bigger ones are out in open water !
He really did! I was very lucky to have that guide on this day, he would always just stop fishing if he lost a lure...I had to tell him it was ok to keep using my lures and then he would put another one on and start catching again.
Man that’s what I feel like when I set the hook on a big walleye. We’re having so much rain here everything is way flooded big time. Weather is calling for 7.4 more inches here this week. The spring walleye trips may be hard this year but I’m goin after them LORD WILLING AMEN. Great video buddy set the hook hard my friend keep your line tight GOD BLESS. Great video.
daaang that is a ton of rain man! Hope it doesn't mess things up too bad! wish I could hook into a walleye, my PB is 5 lbs! Thanks for the continued support brother!
This was mid January, arguably the best time of year for peacocks, as it is the dry season and less change of high water, which makes them harder to target as they go into the flooded jungle. Check out FishColombia on facebook and IG, great guide service.
Epic trip for peacock bass buddy. They're huge, beautiful and put up an awesome fight! I thought that 18 lber was big but yours at the end looked bigger but I never heard you say the weight.
No he didn’t right now I have some family business this week I will let y’all know. Went for 15 minutes tonight and caught a lot of small ones and 1 good sized one the whole pond had fish busting the shad
I haven’t had a fight that hard in a long time. I’d like to be there to buddy. Man I couldn’t never afford a trip like that. Congratulations buddy you got to experience this one in a lifetime trip.
great video love those giant peacock bass! All I want is to go down to florida and catch some peacock bass have zero desire to go to the amazon but cool you went there!
I have actually never done the Florida thing, it looks like a blast tho. Unfortunately the big 3 bars don't live in Florida. but still would be cool to catch a 10 lber in Miami!
@@TyPigPatrol Yeah bro, its hard to get our subs to watch till the end that's why I try to with all the channels that I follow. That watch time is huge brother. Just know I got you and appreciate the support !!!!!!
Once again man, an awesome trip and even more awesome fish! Nice catches man, these Amazon videos are always exciting and adrenaline pumping!! Great video brother! Tight Lines!!! 🤙🏻🎣.
I once fished off a finger of the Panama Canal and caught peacock bass. The guide would jump out and get a rig if it got hooked up. I once offered to go and he warned me of camen. I humbly replied be my guest.
@@TyPigPatrol I was in the Army Guard and was putting in my annual 2 weeks. There were people that lived by the dock that would clean all the fish off a nasty piece of plywood for $2.00. We paid the indigenous cooks to fry them up. The breading was awesome. Crispy with a hint of heat....Nice video and thanks for the flashbeck. Where are you fishing again??
I have a buddy who is at La Zona right now fishing in the tailwaters of the dam....hes got 2 over 40 lbs so far....I gotta make that happen. A very expensive trip however, for 4 days of fishing. I wonder if the river fishing in Bolivia is a better trip?
Man, I love your videos. I need to invest in a go pro and some gear and use it with my uncle and family at Saint Clair this year and Key West in July. You inspire me and should be at 50000 subscribers in no time. Those fish are gorgeous. Boom fish on. God bless more.
I saw this comment when you wrote it, and have been pondering this question all day. Peacocks don't have a ton of endurance, they are normally at the boat within a minute or two of the fight. Then they push again and pull drag, then you bring them back 3 or 4 times. The initial hit and initial run are terrifying. A bull red has a ton more endurance, and you never really see the fish until the end of the fight. So overall I would say peacocks are more fun and intense, but the endurance and longer power of the bull red is impressive.
@@TyPigPatrol well said. Absolutely explained perfect. I've caught big reds in San Antonio. Really hard fighting fish. I'm always more afraid of getting the rod pulled out of my hands than losing the fish. I dream of a peacock fishing trip someday. I'm sure it's out of my budget currently. You did really great work on these videos. Tons of action and awesome video. All your videos rock to be honest. Thanks for explaining the bite.👍👊
Thanks, I really put some thought into that response. The runs of a red drum are incomparable, I really would love to hook a bull again. Thanks for the input on the videos, happy to say the biggest and best fight is still to come! @@CowboyCarCrushing
